Physical Description Kuoni is a fairly small boy, being barely 4'8 at almost 15 years of age. His skin is a pale copper color, blending easily with his soft golden eyes and dark red, almost black hair. This hair is unadorned and fairly short, only reaching to the base of his neck and cut in the front as to keep it out of his eyes. His body is fit, slender, and very flexible and athletic, but all his physical prowess is in agility, endurance and speed; he isn't actually very strong. He only wears basic clothing; just simple black Bryda and sandals. Character Concept This boy is a whimsical one, fond of listening to the wind and playing his prized ocarina. He likes being alone and exploring the land near Windfall with his best friend and horse, Kai, but on harsher days when such exploits are not possible, he is just as happy playing with other youth and getting into anything and everything around Wind Reach. His meddling can be both helpful and annoying to those around him; his curiosity may cause trouble, but he may also join in and help finish a task for the same reason. Intelligent and imaginative, but also somewhat flighty and attention-challenged, he's a difficult boy to keep up with. Character History He was born from a Dek mother, and never knew his father. He isn't close to his mother, never seeing her often, and all he knows of his sire is that he was of a higher caste, and didn't bother asking his mother first before taking her to bed. Mainly raised in the communal nursery, he is well acquainted with other youth, and due to his overly curious nature, much of the commoner and some of the artisan caste is aware of him as well, and he gets into fights with Deks fairly frequently. He learned what Common and Fratava he knows by self-teaching himself from fragments he overheard (eavesdropping) and whatever lessons he could finagle out of helpless passersby. Common places for him to be include the Skyhigh Stables, the communal kitchens, the Enclave, and riding his horse across anywhere and everywhere nearby Wind Reach that a horse can be ridden. The horse in question came from one of his many exploring treks around the mountain and surrounding area three years ago. Kai is a 6-year-old mixed blood, seeming to have both Firemane and Mountain Pony prominently in him by his appearance and constitution. 15hh, short-legged and strong, the plucky little stallion is dark-coated, light-maned, very intelligent, very stubborn, hardy, sure-footed, and a strong jumper, though he isn't very fast at flat galloping and tends to spook at boats and water whenever they ride down to Thunder Bay. He is Kuoni's best friend and constant companion. General Information :

1. What is your Name?
2. Do you go by a nickname or pet name?
Not usually, but some people call me 'brat' or 'annoying.' *laughs*
3. How old are you?
Fourteen, almost fifteen. Just a few more days left! I wonder if I can push one of the Avoras into apprenticing me?
4. What is your height?
Just four feet, eight inches. Short. I don't like being short. No worries though, I'm bound to have a growth spurt before long!
5. What is your weight?
Emm... I dunno. Probably 100-120ish or something. I don't think I ever measured it...

Aesthetics :

1. Describe yourself as you see yourself.
Way too short; typical Inarta hair and eyes. I like to know things, figure things out, see what things are all about... this is why I stick my nose into everyone else's business. How else would you ever find something out, you know?
2. Describe yourself as others typically see you.
Short kid with dark red hair and gold eyes. Some people say I'd make a good Endal; I don't agree. Any eagle that bonded me would probably un-bond pretty quick; I like wandering around away from the aerie. Anyways, I don't dress real fancy and I get cut and bruised pretty often from climbing around and falling off Kai... most people think I got into a fight. Sometimes they're right. Most people also think I'm annoying or pushy, because I'm always shouldering in to see what they're doing. I guess that's their opinion!
3. What is your favorite body feature?
Hmm... good question. I never really thought about it. Probably my whole body. It's well balanced, even if too short. I'm strong enough to do what I want to do, and that's all I need.
4. How physically fit are you?
Fit enough to climb Skyinarta and ride around the foothills just as easily. I fight with the other kids pretty frequently when they start trying to push me around for whatever reason... either because I'm short, or because I'm annoying... that last one's always sorta fun to tease them about.
5. How do you typically dress and what is your style?
I wear the basics and don't bother decorating them. The extent of my decorations is the rings in my ears, up on the arch by the top of my head. I might get another ring pair just below them on the curve later.

Family :

1. Who are your parents and what are they like?
My mother is a Dek. Honestly, not much of a mother; she didn't want me, and doesn't make a secret of it. I don't see her much anyways; she works cleaning out stuff and I avoid that kind of work. My dad's a real mystery; Mom only said he didn't bother asking first then kinda pursed her lips and looked away, so I'm guessing he's higher caste, probably Endal or Avora. Not sure I want to meet him.
2. Do you have any brothers or sisters?
I have a twin sister. She works with the Endals and hopes to become one of them someday. I think she's nuts; you can't ever leave the aerie if you bond one of the Wind Eagles. I love the Wind Eagles, but I don't ever want to bond one... travel is great!
3. What is your extended family like?
Ehrm.... say what?
4. Do you consider close friends as important or more/less important than family?
Dunno. If I had close friends, I'd tell ya.
5. Do you treat animals like family?
Of course. Kai's my best friend, and haven't you heard of the Wind Eagles?!

Here. Duh.

No clue, to be honest. Maybe with the Drykas. I love horses.
4. Do you have a favorite place to vacation or spend leisure time?
Around the foothills riding Kai is a great place to be. On stormy days I hang around the Enclave and read or play my ocarina whenever I'm not around anyone else.
5. Where do you fear to be?
I don't ever wanna go to Symenestra. Creepy people. Too... spidery, seriously. Spiders scare me!

Traits :

1. Do you have any physical weaknesses (disease, scars, and missing limbs?)
Not really. I'm pretty healthy generally. I have a few scars in various places from falling or fighting, but nothing serious.

Left handed. And proud of it.
3. What languages do you speak? What do you sound like? Do you have an accent?
I speak Nari, Common, and Fratava, sort of. Nari, well, I sound like any other Inarta, with a Nari accent. Common, I speak it okay, but with a strong Narian accent. Fratava... I'm terrible at it, and my accent's so strong I'm shocked anyone can understand my words. It's hard to learn.
4. Do you have any odd mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
Define odd, annoying or defining... ahaha. I dunno about odd mannerisms, because if I have them, they aren't odd to me... but I know most people find my curiosity annoying, I guess that counts as annoying habits. Otherwise, my defining characteristics is probably my haphazard education and curiosity.
5. Do you have (or want to get) any tattoos or piercing? Why do you have them (or will get them) ?
I want to get a couple more ear piercings someday, just because, and a tattoo might be cool depending on why I got it... I'd have to see. The earrings I already have were something I got on one of my curiosity kicks... they just haven't closed over, and it's a habit now to stick the rings in the holes, so I guess I'm stuck with them. I don't mind.

If I disliked it, why would I do it? Seems silly to me.

Probably a traveler. Or a singer. Or a feather-painter. Or a cook. Or a horseman. Or... well... anything really, as long as I wasn't stuck to one place forever.

The Endal! They bond the Wind Eagles, and fly around hunting for the rest of the aerie... providing for everyone. It's hard not to admire that.

Cleaning, record-keeping, sitting still. They all really bite...

Pretty haphazard I guess. I learned how to read and write, then just started going everywhere and asking everybody about everything. I know little bits about a lot of stuff, but nothing real solid in much of anything. I'm getting better though.

I love it! There's always more to know, more to see, more to explore. Knowledge is power, right? In some ways.
3. Where or how did you learn most of your skills/abilities?
By asking people that specialized in each skill, or trial-and-error. Both, usually.

I learn best if people show me what I'm supposed to be doing, then I practice it. I pick stuff up really fast that way.

No, I don't. I don't know why exactly. Maybe it's that no one seems to think the same way I do about knowing and learning, all stuck in one place or going to one job as they are. They're too still... like water in rivers stuck going one channel, while I'm the wind that goes anywhere. I ruffle the waters too, annoy them with my questions. Haha, I like that comparison.
2. Do you trust people easily? If not, why not?
No. That's part of forming close bonds. I make friends easily, but they're more acquaintances than anything else, and I certainly wouldn't tell them my deepest dreams and secrets.

Probably straight. Girls look real nice, and boys just argue over stuff..

Nah.

I was, once. I'd just turned thirteen; it was market day and someone was passing around wine. It tasted nasty, and when I woke up I hurt everywhere like I'd been beat up by three whole gangs on one night. I've never done that again, and I won't either.

Welcome! Hi, I'm Legion. Glad to have you here in Mizahar. Your CS is looking good. A few things, however. The Inarta Racial Bonus is +10 in either Falconry or Glassblowing. You may not have both nor have +10 in Longbow as your Racial Bonus as you also have listed. I see you have skill points in Wind Instrument, but no such instrument purchased on your CS. I would suggest selecting a specific instrument for skill points and purchasing one with your 100 pinions. You are allowed an "Heirloom" which is any item worth 50 gold mizas or less. The correct listing of "horseback riding" skill is "Riding (Horse)". This is only important because your character is an Inarta and they can potentially gain XPs in "Riding (Windeagle)". You may also have three languages: one at fluent, one at basic and one at poor. Yours lores are not necessarily incorrect and you may keep them if you choose.
