82 of Fall 511 AV - late night

Soft moon light fell down through the cracked roof reflecting of the smooth cavern walls, Sabe wandered through a pearlescent cave, crystals and luminescent mushrooms littered the walls, water trickled down from the roof causing stalactites to form and a steady sound of water drops echoing through the cave. Despite it should be cold the inside was quite warm and comfortable, it reminded her of the Crystal Cavern back in Mura that her grandmother used to take her to.

The thought never hit her why she was there, or how she even got there she just admired the surroundings, the light got stronger as she walked almost blinding her as it glistened of the crystals. A small river appeared out of the ground and flowed past her towards a small bright spot further ahead.

Gradually the stone under her bare feet got warmer and Sabe noticed the light seeping in through the cave opening was sun light not moon light. Odd. Just now, in the cave she could have sworn the cool, pale light had been moon light from Syna's lover Leth. Stepping out from the luminescent cave her hair shifted from an almost silvery hue to a pale golden, Sabe looked around, taking in the golden beach gradually shifting to grass and a forest. Crystal clear water licked at the sand in soft waves, and the call of sea gulls added a real atmosphere to the place.

Smiling into the sun Sabe walked across the beach relishing in the warm air and the tickling of sand between her toes, she walked out into the water, letting the waves wash over her legs pulling at her long dress. She gazed at the water, her gills prickled slightly longing for water but something stopped her from following her instincts.

Something was missing, it didn't feel right to have this beautiful place to herself, others should see this as well. But was there even others around? The peace and quite was soothing but also served to tell no one seemed to be nearby, looking around and shielding her sea green eyes from the sun the Konti saw no one, but she felt a prickle inside from her gift, like another person was closing in.

Meeting of Friends [Gabrielle]

Postby Gabrielle Seawind on December 3rd, 2011, 3:35 am

Every time she took a step, Gabrielle saw that the sand turned translucent pink where her feet touched, only to return to its normal color after a few seconds. She could hear the sounds from the ocean, and she tried to call for her dolphin friends, but she somehow couldn't bring herself to do so. The sun shone bright in the sky, and she shielded her eyes to try to look at it. Were there more than two suns? She couldn't tell either, but that would have been strange. Her surroundings seemed to be foggy, as if she couldn't really make out what was going on.

She sensed someone before her, and slowly looked forward to see a woman with long blonde hair and a familiar face. Gabrielle felt as if she had met this woman somewhere before, in the distant past, but she couldn't attach a name to the face. She attempted to remember a name, or even a place, but nothing came to her lips.

"Hello," said Gabrielle in a voice that was no more than a whisper, and she brought down her hand from her face because the sun had set once again and the sky was dark. The millions of stars and the moons guided their way, making the sea sparkle. At that moment, a wave crashed into the shore and materialized into many small shimmering stones, alike to the ones Gabrielle had collected years ago in the island of Mura. The stones spilled over her feet and were cold to the touch, and Gabrielle glanced down at them. Unknown to Gabrielle, they were a reminder to what transpired in the past, when she met a Konti lady who helped her gather stones from the beach. It was a good memory, and one that seemed to merge with her present state of mind.

The stones turned into pink sand once again, and then back to its normal form, disappearing. The young Svefra forgot about them instantly and looked ahead of her, to the blonde woman, and stared at her with a curious expression.

Meeting of Friends [Gabrielle]

Scanning the horizon Sabe suddenly saw a figure approaching, a young woman it seemed. The sight stirred a memory, an old memory from before she left Mura, of the South Tower, stones and a young girl Sabe had met. Trying to think back to that time Sabe felt relatively certain that this person and the girl from her memories was the same but the name of the girl escaped her, it was just out of reach. But she headed for the young woman anyway, the water was so shallow it didn't slow down her long strides though her dress clung to her legs for every step.

When she came close a sudden picture of a dolphin came to her mind, she could almost hear its whistling laugh. Strange? She thought, why would she think of dolphins now? Examining the girl closer, her blonde hair just slightly touched by red, as by fire or the sunset, and curious blue eyes. Something nagged in the back of her head, but somehow thinking was hard here, like her head was stuffed with wool.

Frowning as she thought Sabe got annoyed at her own mind that seemed to fight against her, the melodic song of a bird ran through her mind, accompanied by a dolphin and laughter from two persons. It got stronger, more clear the closer to the young woman she came, inside she also recognized this person, her gift with atmospheres had grown and after being around people she wanted to remember she could memorize their atmospheres. In her mind she wanted to give the girl a name, something on Ga or Ca maybe, having no idea that it was her dream state that made it hard to form thoughts and remember past events.

"Hi," Sabe said smiling when she came close, a bit bewildered as to why she had spoken in Common. Normally she'd have used Kontinese. "Have we met before?"

OOCSorry it's short but as they are still trying to remember each other I wasn't sure how much more I could drag it out:)

Meeting of Friends [Gabrielle]

Postby Gabrielle Seawind on December 6th, 2011, 8:41 am

A name finally crossed Gabrielle's thoughts. It was a beautiful name, just like foggy image of the woman before her. "Hello, Sabe," Gabrielle's voice said calmly and in a spaced-out manner. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she could again remember the memories of Mura, mixed with many stones and gems and statues of Gods. "You are Sabe, the Konti, right? You helped a kid some years ago make some beautiful ornaments," as she said that, she wondered which kid was that?

It had been years since she had met this woman before her. She wasn't even sure if her memory served her right, or why they were meeting in such a place. The last thing she knew, she was still in the city of Syliras, slumbering off to sleep beneath thick blankets.

"How are you, Sabe? Have you painted the world yet?" asked Gabrielle. If she had been awake, she would wonder if Sabe could recognize her. She had been much younger, shorter, and childish when they had met. Her body had developed into a young woman throughout the years, though the other woman's face didn't seem to change much from their last encounter.

'Painted the world? What does that mean?' When they had met, Sabe had some painting materials with her. In a conscious state, Gabrielle would never have remembered that.

“Where are we?”

Meeting of Friends [Gabrielle]

As the young woman spoke it all came back to her, most of it at least. "Of course, hi again Gabrielle!" Sabe said and smiled. "Its been awhile, you've grown up a lot." Now she recognised the girl she'd taken to the beach to find stones, a dolphin had been there too, Gabrielle's friend and companion she believed. She still had those stones in her room in Mura, kept safe in a glass vase, too bad they'd been too many and way to heavy together to bring with her to Riverfall.

"Unfortunately I have not painted that much yet but it's an alluring idea," Sabe smiled, a small part of her planning on how to achieve that. "How does the sea fair you? And how is...Cairo was it?" She was almost certain that had been the dolphin's name. It was annoying to remember things and faces but names and details was so hard to recall.

"I have no idea, last thing I know I fell asleep in Riverfall with Eira by my bed." Sabe said, suddenly hit by the thought of Eira, why wasn't she here? Her watcher never left her side usually. "Is there some kind of magic that could do this?" Sabe asked, not well versed in magic. The thought of being in a dream wasn't even close to hit her, then again it wasn't often, if ever, someone knew they dreamed.

Meeting of Friends [Gabrielle]

Postby Gabrielle Seawind on December 7th, 2011, 4:46 am

A wide grin spread across Gabrielle's face. The woman remembered her! Aside from that, she even remembered her best friend, who had been with her at the time that they met. "The sea's kind to me, because Laviku is as well. Kairo, yes, he's great as ever. He'd be happy to see you, I'm sure he remembers you as well."

She seemed to forget that Kairo had sailed away with his dolphin pod, who was swimming with the main ship of the Seawinds. As much as he loved Gabrielle, he needed his family as well and wouldn't stay behind with her. The Svefra felt lonely without Kairo, but at the moment she forgot about this, because nothing but airy feelings of delight seemed to be present.

Eira. She didn't know that name, or maybe she had forgotten. "Riverfall? Isn’t this Syliras? Where are we?" she was just as confused as the Konti woman, and looked around, though she found no clue as to what was going on. There was nobody else aside from them, no hints as to what was going on. However, even though her surroundings weren't livid, even though her mind seemed to go astray, the present seemed to be more real than anything.

"It's okay, miss Sabe," Gabrielle said, though she couldn't remember if years ago, she called the woman that way. "It doesn't seem to be a dangerous place. I don't know who Eira is, but maybe she's around here? Do you want to look for her? I'll help you."

With a pang of guilt Sabe wondered how she could have forgetten about Eira for so long, it was something about this place that made you forget about everything except the peace that surrounded the beach.

"Have you seen Kairo while you've been here? Maybe he and Eira are not her because of a similar reason." She said thoughtfully, mulling over the different possibilities over why the animals wasn't here.

"Eira is my Imperial Watcher by the way." Sabe added as an afterthought, she'd recieved the dog only three years ago after all so Gabrielle couldn't possibly know her.

"Well if you don't mind we could look around," Sabe said, the same calm, content feeling inside her. "Now that I think back, so far I've been here I haven't seen anyone or anything else than you." As she said it Sabe wondered how much time had really gone by, it was next to impossible to tell time here it seemed.

Meeting of Friends [Gabrielle]

Postby Gabrielle Seawind on December 12th, 2011, 10:32 am

"Yes, let's look around!" said Gabrielle happily, and she felt as if she was a girl again -- the same naive girl who had been to Mura and whose biggest worry was how to get the most colorful stones. The Gabrielle she was more familiar with today was a lonely one, a young adult she didn't really know how to describe.

Gabrielle kicked some sand around and decided to lead the way. For some reason, she felt like turning right and walking forward. They were met by a thick forest, with the sounds of wolves howling and owls hooting. There was a fresh smell of leaves in the air, something which Gabrielle wasn't accustomed to, but she welcomed just the same.

"Would Eira be in a place like this?" she asked Sabe absently. She was sure Kairo wouldn't be, because Kairo could only be found in the sea. "I don't have any idea what an Imperial Watcher is, or what Eira is like... but this seems to be the only palce around. But yes, you're right, there doesn't seem to be anybody else."

The animal sounds grew fainter, though they didn't get any glimpse of any other living creatures aside from themselves. It was eerie, but at the same time Gabrielle felt protected, as if she were positive that nothing could go wrong. If she knew any better, she would say it felt like a dream.

Meeting of Friends [Gabrielle]

Postby K'Sabe on December 19th, 2011, 12:35 am

Following the eager girl Sabe smiled, somehow Gabrielle gave off the feeling of happiness, of troubles rising off her shoulders maybe. As they entered the thick forest the mysterious howl of wolves sent goose bumps down her spine, she had always liked the sound ever since she had first heard it, the mix of melancholy, companionship and a regal bearing just caught her heart. That was one reason she loved the Ivaski so much, they were closely related to wolves after all.

"She may very well be," Sabe said imagining all the fun Eira could have among the trees. "A Watcher is a large dog breed, you can't miss her if she's here though she is amazing at making herself smaller sometimes, Eira is a harlequin, white with black spots." She explained with an askew smile.

Slowly the sounds of the owls and the wolf pack died down, leaving an eerie silence, despite knowing that wolves could be aggressive if threatened she preferred to hear them instead of the silence. Yet she didn't truly feel scared, deep inside she was calm like her body knew it wasn't dangerous here.

"Do you also feel it's something strange here?" Sabe asked, pulling her hair behind her ears. "I was just in Riverfall and you in Syliras, right? We shouldn't be able to meet with such a distance between us."

"Oh, a Watcher's a dog," said Gabrielle when she found out. "I haven't seen any dogs around."

A shiver ran up the Svefra's spine as the silence hit their surroundings. She liked the silence -- she thought a calm sea during the dead of the night always felt relaxing. But this... this was creepy. She tilted her head to look at her Konti friend.

"Yeah, I was in Syliras. Do you think this is magic? Maybe there's a reason why we're face to face right now, like something we need to tell eachother?" replied Gabrielle, though she was just putting random thoughts together. The girl had no idea what was going on. She tried her best to think of any reason, of anything she had to say to K'Sabe, but she couldn't reach a conclusion. "I am... starting to find this creepy."
