Romen handed the barmaid a couple of silver mizas then turned back to Gabrielle. ”You’re welcome, I’m not one to judge based on who you are or where you come from. “ he said when she thanked him for the drink. He took a sip of his ale. Romen was glad when she changed the subject. Romen raised his eyebrows and leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table in front of him.
”Surprise you…. “ he murmured. ”Well, this’ll be a bit shocking but you’ll be glad to hear that I’m single” he said jokingly, before returning to think of something to actually tell her. Romen wasn’t generally a very open person, so telling people about himself didn’t come naturally to him.
”Hmm… Well I’m learning Reimancy at the moment if that counts” he said, not entirely sure what Gabrielle wanted to hear but he wanted to keep up this conversation without deception for once. It felt good knowing that everything she knew about him was more or less true, but not good enough to stop him lying to get what he wanted in the future. ”I’m not very good at it yet, but I’m getting there.” he continued from earlier with a grin.
Vida glared at him from where she sat, as if she could understand what they were talking about. That was probably because earlier in the week Romen had accidently set her dinner on fire while he was practicing and while she didn’t get hurt, she’d had a pretty long night trying to catch herself another meal. Vida didn’t hold grudges, she just gave off subtle hints that she was still blaming him for what happened.
