PHYSICAL: Very easy on the eyes and possessed of a certain grace to his movements, Gunho could easily be described as a quintessential pretty boy. He isn't excessively muscular, just adequately lean and is blessed with both the tall stature of his human father and the exotic beauty of his Vantha mother. The Lhavit borne's hair is black and wavy, his eyes a soft inviting brown and his comely sharp jaw and sculpted nose lends some edge to what would have otherwise become a far too pretty face. PERSONA: Gunho has the typical demeanor of expected of someone who has trained to become Shinya, he is serious about everything he immerses himself in and always strives to do his best. On rare occasions he does seem to try and do things beyond his ability, especially when he believes that the other party is expecting a lot of him and this may stem from a deep seated regret at having failed in succeeding the family legacy. Regardless, this perseverance and desire to please is probably his most endearing trait, but he is not foolish enough that he would fail to notice people trying to use his nature against him. BELIEFS: Gunho was raised to become Shinya and even if he has veered away from that destiny he still retains their trademark industry and their calm mindset. He takes things in stride and shows remarkable patience in all endeavors he pursues. He also has great respect for his betters, a trait he picked up from Lhavit's meritocracy-based social structure. As far as religion goes Gunho has great respect for Zintila but is not truly devout. He has simply accepted worship of her because that is what is expected of him as a man of Lhavit. Now that he walks his own path he finds himself distanced from the goddess and any other deity for that matter. BACKGROUND HISTORY: Like his father before him Gunho was groomed from the moment he could walk until the tender age of nine to become Shinya. That was the destiny that had been determined for him long ago, it was honorable to inherit the legacy of your family and he did not question his family's decree then, he did not yet know how to decide for himself at such an age. His mornings were spent doing back-breaking chores, his afternoons endless martial training and his evenings were but a culmination of quiet contemplation spent with the star-studded sky and solitude. This was the cycle of his life until he was fourteen, the age young viraya were often deemed ready to undertake the next leg of their training. He was presented to the Shinya Elite to officially be recognized as an acolyte. In the course of his acolyte training Gunho discovered a talent for the art of massage. Being the person he was the half-vantha dispensed his services freely, using them to learn and expand his knowledge of the human body. But all his good intentions would be for naught, he would only be rewarded with doubt and hate by a fellow pupil no less. The lover of one of Gunho's had sparring partners had sought out his services and the fellow acolyte mistaken the half-vantha's massages for something more. He turned his spar with Gunho into a battle to the death and before anyone could interrupt Lyner was forced to defend himself out of instinct, he stepped aside, turning to dodge a lethal attack and he responded with a powerful kick that twisted his opponent's neck killing the foe instantly. It was a tragic mistake. The event was scandalous and while Gunho was not guilty of malicious intent his actions had still caused the death of a peer. His chances at advancing his career in the order of Shinya had been stemmed forever. Gunho had two options, to become a permanent viraya - a mere attendant to his peers for the rest of his days or to leave the city and test his fortunes elsewhere. His course was set, his nature would not permit him to endure a life where he could not pursue his full potential. With the blessing of his family he left and he silently hoped that the brothers he left behind could succeed where he failed in life.
