Jaiun chose not to respond, though his teeth bared as he heard the man's taunting words. You're awful mouthy for someone trapped on a roof, he growled in his head, blissfully unaware of the man's workings with Djed.

After a moment of silent seething, Jaiun cast a scorching look at the man on the roof and yelled, "What is your name?" he grinned an awfully fierce grin. "What Hold do you belong to? I think I'm going to find your Hold leader and have a talk with him."

For the man clearly was Vantha; even with the failing eyesight of his human form Jaiun could make out those discerning details clearly enough. Vaguely, he wondered if the man would respond or not; if he did, it would show the man wasn't afraid if his Hold leader knew, but if he didn't, the man would be. Jaiun hoped it was the latter. He'd find out the man's name and Hold through other ways, and then what the man feared would come true regardless.

But if it was the former, Jaiun would have no other option than to just walk away, and let the man go with nothing more than a sojourn on a roof. It was almost the same as letting him go unpunished, for the first Iceglaze that came his way would rescue him easily enough...no, Jaiun paradoxically hoped his answer wouldn't be answer. Bears didn't like losing...

A Cold Day Getting Colder [Coren]

Postby Coren on December 27th, 2011, 12:23 pm

Coren just let out a loud laugh as the man below tried to threaten him with telling Vanis about what had happenend here, did that icewatch guard really think he would be punished just for throwing snow on somebodies head? He doubted anybody would take the man seriously if he reported that.
“Well if you insist, my name is Coren born and raised in the skyglow hold, though not many would like to admit that to be honest.” Coren said giving the man below a mocking salute, enjoying himself immensely and not in the least bit intimidated by the fierce grin on the icewatch's face, seeing as he was safely out of reach.

“So now who do I have the honor of talking too? Its fairly impolite to ask for my name and not give your own in return.” Coren was fully aware that nothing he had did in the last half a bell or so was not even close to polite, but he was geniuly curious to the man's name and if it set him of thanks to the hypocrisy of his statement then it was all the more fun for him.

Jaiun crossed his arms. A flicker of displeasure crossed his name for just a moment.

"Well, Coren," he said, stressing the name, "I'm sure your hold leader would love to know how you spend your days; messing with a bear." he tilted his head to the side slightly.

"Doesn't make you seem too smart, now does it? A bad bet, that's what your hold leader will probably think. Though it probably won't be the first time." Jaiun said, his words cutting.

"Nothing about this is impolite, but I'll give you my name anyways. I'm Jaiun, of the Polar Bear Guard."

Jaiun sighed and turned on his heel. "I'm also done talking to you." he took a step away and then another, trying to release the fuming anger he had at the man on the roof.

A Cold Day Getting Colder [Coren]

Postby Coren on February 10th, 2012, 5:29 pm

Coren just laughed at the man as he once again threatened him. “I'm sure the leader of my hold won't give half a damn if your complaining about a prankster. Especially if your a bear from the ice watch. Aren't you kelvic's supposed to be a though lot and not whine about a little bit of snow that falls on top of your head?” Coren got in a last parting shot as the man began to leave. Shifting his attention to the fact he was still trapped on top of a roof with the ladder lying on next to the building, he glanced back towards the retreating man and waited till he was back out of sight before shoving his hands into his pockets and taking a deep breath and reaching towards the pool of djed that was part of his soul beginning to push out the astral body of both his arms, working from the joints closest to his torso to the tips of his fingers, with a praticed ease and after a scant few chimes both of his arms where hanging limp in coren's robe.

Flexing his astral arms out of habit he reached over to the fallen ladder on the ground and began to hoist it back against the wall as fast a she could. He didn't want anybody to see him using magic and let his secret out. As soon as the ladder was leaning against the wall and felt reasonably stable he sat down on the edge of the roof and slowly began guiding his astral body back where it belonged.

If nothing interrupted him again he would just climb down the ladder and bring it back where it belonged.
