Tiaue`a
Basic InformationRace: Kelvic (Wind Eagle) Birthday: Fall, 500 AV Gender: Female LanguagesLanguage 1: Nari - Fluent Language 2: Common – Competent
Physical Description: A raptor of colossal size, Tiaue`a, more commonly referred to as Ti`ue in her absence, stretches her wings across the sky at a span of thirty-six feet. Ti`ue’s reach is coupled by her size and weight, among the other Wind Eagles found in Wind Reach’s expanse. Her talons are vicious in their sharpness, and kept warm from their feathered appearance. Her down feathers are a reddish brown, much like the Inarta around her. However, her true plumage is comprised of shades of brown with crème accents. Her beak is long and sharp, ready to peck at the prey held in her predatory gaze.
Tiaue`a, being kelvic born, does indeed possess a human form. Her last encounter with her own image was during her earlier pubescent stage, revealing a thin, tall, and young Inarta. In the perspective of a kelvic, even a wind eagle, time has passed and so she has grown much from being such a girl, though no one really knows what she looks like; not even herself!
Character Concept: Ti`ue is perhaps denial incarnate. After having had time to reflect on her oddities as both Inarta and Wind Eagle, she has comes to a conclusion that she is ill, and for that she is ashamed. Having preferred her animal form for most of her life, she is convinced that she is in-fact a wind eagle. Her opinion of the kelvic race is somewhat abominable. However far from the truth this may be, Ti`ue refuses to accept the capability that she is not a fully bred eagle. Instead, she wraps herself in the pride, grace, and respect demanded of her eagle form, often flaunting her magnificence. To hide her faults, she accentuates her beauty. Inside she is not quite as beautiful; she is overly paranoid of people finding out despite her full control of her shifting. Her difficulty finding a mate or Endal has also contributed to much of her irritability. Regardless of the truth, Tiaue`a does all in her power to embody the majesty of the Wind Eagles as a guardian and hunter.
Character History: (Pre-Creation) Ti`ue’s history joins those unexplainable tales of fate. Born of a Dek woman in her own nest – assumed to have been fathered by a kelvic – Ti`ue was more of a runt at birth. Being her mother was a Dek, and she had no father, her and her siblings were taken to the nursery. It was not until some few weeks after that she had first shifted her form. As fall turned to winter, the new born took her new form in the night to warm and comfort herself. Her little legs managed to scratch and slide from her siblings. The young chick fell, though not too far, and cried. She was found, a bird far from her place, and taken to the eagle aeries. The occurrence, though odd and appalling to some, was not thoroughly investigated, and most likely resulted in the punishment of some Dek.
Raised among the Wind Eagles, she was one of them, she appeared so, behaved so, and could even perform as one. For the next two years the runt grew into something fantastic. She developed a personality of wit and spite being a bastard eagle, or so such rumours were whispered. The elders among the eagles had their theories, but not the proof, of Ti`ue’s origins. The eagle who mothered her was blunt in her defence of the chick, and the issue stopped there. In time, Ti`ue had the chance to prove herself. She flew, and she flew high and fast.
For half a decade more, she would grow and learn to hunt and to do those incredible aerials the greatest eagles of Wind Reach could, or at least she dreamed of such. But her time was growing short, and she was growing. By her ninth year she felt the strangeness about her body, the change of her balance, and investigated it in private. She felt the soft skin, the weak sponginess, saw the rosy hair linger in front of her in fear. She never spoke of it, and from then she was changed. Despite excepted changes from her elder eagles, her odd behaviour was dismissed, and Ti`ue did adapt. Her fight mating flight would come soon, as well as her choice of an Endal.
Her first mating flight was all but successful. She was too rough, or too ignorant to the males, unapproachable and isolated. Her solitude weighed on her and she went the first year without finding a suitable mate. She was told it was okay, that it’s not always easy to find the one. A greater challenge was approaching; in due time, the young Inarta girls would be looking to prove themselves and find their wings. She would be the force to raise the flightless on high. She has yet to be successful in that task as well; it seems no girl is tolerant enough for her.
So in this time, now, here in Wind Reach, Tiaue`a, glorious sky watcher, waits for calling in life. Meanwhile, that other anomaly of a Wind Eagle, the praised Sira dances before her. Ti`ue is lost in herself, combating whether or not she too would gain or lose more from revealing her own secrets. |
