Accusations and feigning innocence (Coren, Sera)

Postby Sera on January 6th, 2012, 2:00 am

Sera continued to back away from the two, until Alea backed up. She felt bad that she wasn’t really helping Alea out, but she entered this mess on false pretenses. And she wasn't going to be rude to a fellow Skyglow vantha. So, the girl just bit her lip and watched, an eyebrow raised. And then the human girl threw a snowball at Coren. Sera had to cover her mouth with both hands to stop her from laughing. 'Good girl!' She thought and decided to pick up some snow as well. She packed it together in her hands and waited, wondering what was going to go down. Would Coren retaliate? Cause, suddenly it turned back into innocent fun, just like how it felt the night before.

Sera chuckled outwardly, and ran after Alea. She slid to a stop several paces away from the girl, cautiously and rolled over two snowballs. "Just to get the record straight, I'm not actually picking sides, I have no idea what took place between the two of you, but this looks like fun, so I'll help you make snowballs? I just won't throw any, okay?" Secretly, Sera hoped Coren would try and get them. It looked like fun. And the girl knew she wasn't going to hold back for long. Eventually she'd join in, but... it would have to be provoked. As in... someone would have to hit her first. And in a way, Sera expected Alea to smack her in the face with one for not helping too much. "By the way, did your cat, I think his name was... Tom? Did he ever return home?" She winked as she made a few more snowballs and rolled them over towards the girl.

Accusations and feigning innocence (Coren, Sera)

Postby Coren on January 6th, 2012, 6:33 pm

Coren was pretty surprised when alea actually listened and stepped, was she really going to calm down just because he yelled at her? Coren's face fell into an annoyed expression as alea quickly scooped up some snow and tried to throw it right in his face, His reflexes that he had gained from playing in snowbalfights where rusty but still good enough that coren quickly ducked underneath the thrown snowball, which narrowly missed his head.

“Why you little,” Coren muttered underneath his breath as he tried to grab a hold of the fleeing alea, who slipped away from his attempt to catch her without to much trouble. He was about to just run after alea and sera, who once again switched sides between them, but came to a stop after he had taken a few steps... just charging right towards them would probably just get him pelted with snowballs and wouldn't help him one bit, he just had to think for a bit and prove that he was smarter then both of those girls he quickly and silently made his way towards the other side of the library. Packed some snow together to make two snowball's and began to sneak around the library as good as he could, planning to catch them off guard. Heck if he was lucky and fast enough he might be able to get this over with before the others showed up for work.

Just as Coren was about to turn around the last corner and hopefully take both of the girls by surprise, coren accidentally stepped on a branch, breaking it with a loud crack. Coren just dropped any pretense of sneakyness poked his head out from behind the corner took aim and threw one of his snowball's straight at alea.

Accusations and feigning innocence (Coren, Sera)

Postby Alea Davenport on January 8th, 2012, 4:06 pm

Alea has expected something like Coren coming around the other side, which was why she'd been keeping an eye out in both directions. She had a snowball ready in each hand, waiting for the attack. She was so tense that as soon as she heard the branch break, she threw a snowball directly at the sound and then ducked low. She heard the thud of her snowball hitting the building and felt Coren's just missing her head. Now that he was in sight and empty-handed, she lobbed the other snowball at him.

She realized that it had been a mistake to only make one wall, but now that Sera had decided to redeem herself by making ammo, she might be able to make it work. She grabbed two more snowballs and hopped over her wall, waiting for Coren to make himself vulnerable. Her mind was already thinking up new fortifications that would be useful, but there was no time to build them. She would just have to remain alert and hope that she kept her two-against-one advantage.

Accusations and feigning innocence (Coren, Sera)

Postby Sera on January 13th, 2012, 12:20 am

OOCSorry for such a late reply. School just started and I've been trying to figure out how my schedule is going to be during the week!
So, the whole trying not to get too involved thing was not going so well. She was in the middle a feud. Sad thing was, she didn't even know what started it. Sera had no idea what had happened between the two. And now they were fighting with snowballs; Alright, that part was kind of fun. Though, Sera had to choose to do something... After Alea grabbed the balls Sera had given her, The Vantha tilted her head in wonder. Maybe she's just this kind of person. "You go Girl!" She yelled in Vani on accident, and then corrected it into Common for the Human..

Though, Sera couldn't deny, it was turning into a very entertaining morning. So she continued packing snow into balls and putting them in a pile. After about a dozen hand sized snow balls were created, Sera decided it might be time to let them fight their own battles. So she stood up and prepared to run off to get done whatever chores her father had for her to do, but not before looking back at the two battling each other with snow. Maybe it was the incisiveness. Or maybe it was the thrill of adventure, but suddenly Sera didn't want to get out of the snow ball fight. It was "innocent" fun.

She looked around, trying to think of a way to be involved in this without having to pick a side, until she looked at the top of the building. The roof! That was it! There had to be layers of snow on the roof. What if she could come up with a way the push it on the two crazy enemies? But were they really enemies? She shrugged, not really sure and began looking around for a staircase of a ladder of even a big enough pile of snow.

Accusations and feigning innocence (Coren, Sera)

Postby Coren on January 15th, 2012, 4:18 pm

Coren quickly hid back behind the wall as alea threw a few snowballs into his direction, letting a few curses in vantha slip out as he had been spotted, so much for his plan to sneak up on them and grab them by surprise. Half considering just giving up and going to work right now. But the very idea of that left a bad tast in his mouth, he was nearly twenty five years old for morwen's sake, he should be able to handle a couple of uppity brats. Especially if one of those brats made a sack of rocks look intelligent!
“Why don't you just give up and stop being a little annoying brat already.” Coren yelled at the two teenagers. Though it was obvious which one he was talking to.
“We both know how this is going to end anyway. You covered in snow up till the neck you tikita!”
Coren tried to taunt alea into making more mistakes then she usually made, making another snowball. “So spare yourself the effort and just go clean up the mess you and your helper made.” Coren didn't have even a small glimmer of hope that she would take up that offer though.

oocTikita is a term vantha use to insult non-vantha :) you can find it in the swears lore page

Accusations and feigning innocence (Coren, Sera)

Postby Alea Davenport on January 17th, 2012, 7:58 am

This was great. Coren was wasting time talking which gave Alea more time to prepare, and kept her aware of his position. She'd noticed the swear word; even though she didn't know what it meant, the context was obvious, plus Coren had a history of swearing. She'd learned about "petch" from him, entirely against his will probably.

She started by quickly making a pile of about six snowballs. Then, since Coren was still talking, she erected another snow-wall behind her, to make sure she had cover on both sides, in case he was silly enough to try sneaking up behind her a second time. His threat of covering her in snow made her instinctively pull her hood up, ensuring that she was as well-protected by her clothing as she could manage. While he was wasting his breath trying to convince her to surrender, she drilled a small hole through her first wall with a finger, and peered through it, satisfying herself that she could see him coming without opening herself up to attack.

Having fortified herself as well as she could in a short time with few resources, she grabbed a snowball and peered through her peephole, waiting for the inevitable attack. Only then did it occur to her to wonder where Sera went, and why she wasn't helping Alea...

Accusations and feigning innocence (Coren, Sera)

Chuckling to herself at Coren's comments, she leaned her back against the wall of a building, her eyes fixed on an old ladder that was leaning against the wall across from her. The morning was very entertaining, but the lack of sleep was beginning to show. She peered around the corner to see the two still going at it, before running towards the ladder. She wasn't the greatest at thinking things through, so once she moved it to a point that she expected the ladder to stay in place, she just began climbing it, without anything to support the bottom.

The ladder slipped, but only a small amount. The Vantha's eyes changed and she held onto the rails fearfully. Sera dared herself to look down. It wasn't a drastic drop. Well, if she dropped. She'd probably be okay. Weighing her options, Sera chose to climb upwards. 'Might as well follow through...' She looked up at the snow on the roof and bit her lip. Then a smirk. And she climbed the rest of the way up.

Accusations and feigning innocence (Coren, Sera)

Postby Coren on February 9th, 2012, 7:00 pm

Coren let out a pissed of sigh as he didn't get any reply from alea. What was he wasting his breath trying to convince her to quit this anyway? He should be spending his time doing some more important stuff instead of wasting it here. He just shook of the little bit of snow that had landed on him and turned around and quickly began walking the way back to the entrance of the library, really hoping he hadn't wasted to much time with that little runt. When he arrived at the library door he checked the door, smiling underneath his leather face covering as it was still locked it seemed he hadn't wasted that much time, that or jake and felix were late today. Fishing the key out of one of his pockets he unlocked the door and walked inside, planning to get everything ready for the day that was coming.

oocFeel free to come inside and bother coren there ;) but he has lost his patience with alea right now.

Accusations and feigning innocence (Coren, Sera)

Postby Alea Davenport on February 14th, 2012, 8:35 pm

Alea waited several long moments for Coren to make an appearance, but instead of rounding the corner, he fell silent. Was that quiet crunching sound the sound of his footsteps walking away? She frowned; could this be more trickery on his part? Perhaps he was trying to sneak around the building from the other side. Or maybe he was trying to lure her out! She waited nervously for a bit longer, trying to keep both directions under surveillance. However, Coren never showed up from either side. She was going to have to check it out.

Slowly, carefully, with a snowball in each hand, Alea stood up. She made sure to keep her back to the wall, glancing behind her frequently as she edged toward where she'd last heard Coren, trying to muffle her footsteps in case he was waiting for her. When she reached the edge of the building, she paused. He could be expecting her to look, and waiting to plant a snowball in her face as soon as she became visible. To thwart this evil plan, she crouched down low before peering around the edge...

Only to see that Coren was not there. She quickly looked behind her; could he have been planning to sneak up from the rear the whole time?! But no, he was not there either. This was most troubling. Surely he hadn't given up? No, no, that was what he wanted her to think! And then when her guard was lowered, he would strike! She tried looking for his tracks in the snow, but rather than a smooth, white sheet in which footprints would easily show up, the snow around the library was still a mess from when Sera and she had piled it in front of the library last night.

Remaining somewhat cautious, but not quite as slow, Alea checked the perimeter of the library, making sure he wasn't hiding in front and then going back around to check on the other side. She tried to stay out of the street; a few people were starting to walk by, and while she was hiding it made her very uncomfortable to be seen by anyone, even an unrelated passerby. Back at her snow-wall behind the library, she paused to figure out what to do next. Coren was apparently nowhere to be found. Sera was missing. So what should she do now?

In the end, she decided that Coren had foolishly given her the time to make an ultimate snow-fort, so she expanded her wall so that she was surrounded on all sides. She took the time to make sure the walls were sturdy, and she added small holes through which people inside the fort would be able to look without exposing themselves to snowballs from the enemy. When the fort was finished, she planned to stock it with ammunition (snowballs), unless something interrupted her first...
