Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

Dawn was setting; having only been awake for a few hours Ryce had made his way through the majority of the city and now stood on the edge of buildings where further would lead him into a familiar area where he often would hunt. Verlyna’s pond was within the thicket of woods, the tall grass that surrounded was a marvelous place the ferret enjoyed to creep about. Sniffing as he moved he soaked in the aroma paying attention to his movements and on the lookout for those of others. The scene was clear and oddly quite, aside for the rustling of the tall weeds as the wind blew, it almost seemed threating and left him with the idea there was another on the look for their next meal.

Ryce clenched his paws into the dirt, as uncertainty arose his actions became fully instinctive, not moving was the only thing he could until a better grasp was had. As the wind died, the rustling continued a short distance in front of him, Ryce stepped forward weaving through the larger bungles of weeds and continued his attempt in catching a distinctive smell. The breeze flowing past him coming from behind he wasn’t able to catch anything. He could hear that he was getting closer; the sound getting louder and louder it became obvious as to what it was.

The wild turkeyImage shuffled through the grass, with the appearance of a robotic ease, stopping periodically to bend over and peck at the ground in search for food. The ferret could feel his mouth moisten; ready for his upcoming feast, crouching low his prey was fixed well in his sights and became the only thing of interest around him. His tail flicked as he slowly moved forward, not wanting to startle the bird to soon, this meal would be one of his bests.

Sometimes, Sasin really had to wonder if Ionu was truly brilliant and creative, or just insane. Having streets and buildings move around was one thing. Having a pond which, he had been told, drowned anyone who dipped in it in the middle of the city was another. Not that it was usually in the middle. He usually found it in the fringes of Alvadas.

Of course, it was a surprisingly good hunting spot. He wasn't sure if it was the lack of people, the pond, or just magic, but there were usually quite a few animals wandering around. Today was no exception. There were some smaller rodents, which he ignored, and a few birds, which he couldn't be bothered to chase after. It wasn't even that he was that hungry. He was just bored.

Which was why he had decided that it would be fun to leave all his weapons at home and climb a tree, he supposed. He wasn't very clear on why he had thought this would be a good idea. Still, he was at the base of a tree staring up, so he might as well do this. Raising himself with his tail as high as he could, he grabbed on to one of the lower branches, and began to pull himself up. His tail coiled around branches, knobs, anything, until he finally found a branch low enough that he would be able to survive a fall, but thick enough to support his weight.

Settling down on the branch, he focused on his heat vision instead, trying to detect the heat signature of anything he could eat. He spotted several small creatures, but finally settled on a turkey wandering aimlessly around the grass. Flicking a small twig onto the ground, he grinned as the bird approached.

"Here turkey turkey" he muttered to himself as it approached. Almost, almost, just a little- there! When the bird was right below him, he did something his species was never built to do, and slipped off the branch and flopped right on top of the turkey. He heard a squawk, and the snapping of bone from underneath him, and raised his tail to find a rather squished dead turkey.

Well, he had to admit, that was rather fun. Unconventional, and inefficient, but fun.

OOC: In case it wasn't obvious, Sasin's in his Dhani form :)

The long shrill hiss had escaped from the ferret before he actually understood what had occurred right in front of him. The thud was deep into the ground as the dhani squashed the turkey, blood curling anger rose from within Ryce. Instantly the kelvic stood in human form and walked towards the suddenly appeared imposter.

Communication wasn't a strong suit for any animal, and neither at this time was he able to voice such frustrations with the sudden loss of a meal. The dhani was a new site for him and however threatening it was, he wouldn't let it show nor would he allow the creature to stop him from feasting. Instinct fueled his emotions and actions, it was obvious that Nyahna had seen the now human as it closed in, hissing and chattering his slightly pointed teeth.

Now coming into a short sprint to close the rest of the distance, Ryce quickly leaped and placed all his weight on his left foot and sent a quick round house kick aiming for the gut of the half human and snake. After hitting, he replaced his foot in stance, now standing in front of the dhani Ryce's chest heaved from the heavy short expelling breaths. Adrenaline was coursing through him, barely controllable he stood thinking he had gotten his point across.

Gods, that was satisfyingly fun. Lifting up the turkey, he was about to swallow it whole when he spotted the naked human stalking towards him, evidently angry for some inexplicable reason.

But wait, how was that possible? He hadn't detected a human at all while searching for prey, not through scent, sound, sight, or heat. He frowned slightly, before realizing. A kelvic. That would explain both why he hadn't noticed a human around, and why the man was naked. Now that he was closer, Sasin could also see his teeth were pointed slightly.

Now that he was closer, Sasin realized he was getting too close. An angry Kelvic being too close was never good, especially if you didn't know what kind of Kelvic it was. He expected the Kelvic to shift, and attack him, or try to grab his meal. What he didn't expect was a kick to the gut, which, naturally, was what he got.

Doubling over in surprise as much as pain, he hissed in anger at the Kelvic just standing there like an idiot. That did it, he decided, dropping the bird. He was having Kelvic for dinner.

Lunging at Ryce, Sasin flared his hood, arms outstretched, and fangs showing.

Ryce had expected a reaction, dropping the turkey was as perfect as it could have been for him; he just wasn't going to allow his meal to be stolen from him. He watched as the humanoid snake figure angered and then came at him quickly. The scene was frightening; nevertheless the kelvic had a meal on his mind and had every intention of eating it.

It happened suddenly, shifting back to ferret form he scurried right under the dhani's lunge. His one tracked mind fixated on his intended meal Ryce ran quickly to where the squashed bird had been dropped. A small jump landed him on the top of it as he feverishly began clawing ripping out the feathers to reveal the thick meat lying beneath. Similar to a snide child quickly stuffing his mouth with sweets, Ryce bit deeply into the turkey breast. Blood oozed from the missing chunk, and he chewed and swallowed as fast as he could manage bite after bite tentatively watching for when Nyahna would notice him again.

He growled angrily as the kelvic turned into some small rodent and dodged under him. Turning around, he was somewhat surprised to see the ferret (Weasel? Stoat? Whatever) ripping into the turkey. Was it… was it really that hungry? They were in the middle/edge of the city, for Ionu's sake.

It was really ripping into that turkey. Wow. He watched it for a moment, considering. On one hand, he wasn't really that hungry, and this was kind of cute. On the other hand, the damn kelvic had kicked him. Hard.

Making up his mind after another moment, Sasin bent down. Picking up the turkey again, he would shake it to dislodge the ferret if he was hanging on, unhinge his jaw, and swallow the turkey whole.

Hah.

He was feeling childish. Maybe the drop had knocked some brains out of him.

Being shaken loose from the turkey gave more reason for the enraged ferret to attack the dhani. Instinctively Ryce felt the need to compensate for dominance due to his small stature, never letting his own size be shown as a form of weakness. As the dhani engulfed the turkey Ryce sprinted towards him, the distance was short however he made quick use of his gained momentum and jumped latching his small claws into Nyahna's underbelly.

Using all the claws on each paw, Ryce staggered his way quickly up the creature's body. Moving from the underbelly to his back, having seen earlier the smashing technique used to kill the turkey, he saw it as a potential threat to thwart his advance upwards. His small pin like claws leaving little punctures as he moved along, as the dhani moved Ryce knew it was time to end his venture to prevent himself from any real harm.

As he now grasped onto the back side of where the section of the human portion began, Ryce released and jumped away from the dhani's body. Reverting back to his human form, he tilted his weight to send him in a clockwise spin, his foot once again made contact with the dhani. With his own movements and those of Nyahna he couldn't be sure where he hit him, not that it mattered but he was just satisfied with the contact of a strike. Just to the left of the powerful snake tail, Ryce landed and tumbled into a roll in order to increase the distance between them until he could gain his ground and advance in attack again.

Siku petching dammit this thing was persistent. Coiling himself round and round, Sasin tried to slide the ferret off him, but only succeeded in nearly knotting himself up. He really didn't like this. Reaching behind him, he nearly managed to grab Ryce, but the ferret jumped away just in time.

Whirling around, Sasin saw him shift into his human form, and growled angrily. Anticipating the kick, he brought up his tail, curling it around the Kelvic's foot as it connected with his chest. Aware the Kelvic could change at any moment to escape, he quickly yanked down, trying to knock Ryce off his feet.

Lunging forward, he grabbed at any part of the ferret he could, trying to hold on to the Kelvic and prevent him from escaping.

Gobbling Altercation's [Nyahna Sasin]

Postby Ryce on January 29th, 2012, 5:30 am

Ryce didn't even feel the tail wrap around his foot until it was too late. The sudden yank had pulled him down, his left knee hitting the ground as the right leg was pulled under the dhani. The smothering attempt to grasp onto him was indeed working, just due to the lack of energy the kelvic knew that transforming again into a ferret suddenly could leave him completely exhausted.

He wiggled and wormed in attempt to free the grasp that was now clamped down onto him tightly, Nyahna hand grabbed his left arm and as well the tail still wrapped firmly around his right foot. Ryce knew it was important to not allow himself to be caught in a hold any further than such. In a swift motion the kelvic straightened his left leg, which was previously holding him on the knee; tucking his right shoulder and his head under himself he rolled. As the dhani held tightly on to his left arm it twisted uncomfortably, but with the motion it was enough to catch the creature off balance as it further attempted to hold Ryce in place.

As the dhani caught himself, Ryce took the short amount of time to free his foot. It jerked violently has he attempted, fed up with being held, the kelvic barred his teeth and after a deep hiss sunk them into the portion of the tail that held his foot. The quick release gave him time to jump backwards and gain some distance in between them. The hissing anger that the dhani expressed was more than enough to scare Ryce from continuing. The adrenaline mixed with instincts told Ryce to continue, guiding him in his way.

Crouching low he placed his right hand on the ground preparing for a quick assault. Two leaping steps and the kelvic soared the short distance through the air. Misleadingly he kicked out his left foot, but instead of following through with the motion he jutted out his right foot for a kick. The change in momentum decreased the power of the kick however; the hit was still a hit as Ryce intentionally aimed it in the same portion of the dhani's gut, which surely would still be tender from the previous kick.

Gobbling Altercation's [Nyahna Sasin]

Postby Nyahna Sasin on January 29th, 2012, 11:13 am

To his delight, his tactic worked, and the kelvic dropped to the ground. He coiled his tail tighter around the foot, trying to keep a firm grip. With his hand on one arm and his tail around a foot, Sasin was beginning to think he had a chance of winning over this ferret, and-

He yelped as the kelvic rolled unexpectedly, and he was forced to release his arm, or get rolled into a ball. Jerking Ryce's foot again only served to enrage him, and he hissed in pain as he was bitten. He was the snake! He was the one who should be doing the biting!

Ryce's kick took him by surprise, but he managed to shift his body enough that his tail took the impact. For Ionu's sake, this was ridiculous. "It's a turkey! Go get your own!"He hissed angrily. He was tired, frustrated, and confused. This bloody kelvic was beating him so badly, it was embarrassing. Apparently this one knew how to fight people.

People. Now that was an idea. This one seemed to know how to fight humans, which he supposed, translated to fighting a dhani. But could it fight a snake?

He lunged at the kelvic again, focusing on using his tail more this time, as he began to shift. As he grappled with Ryce, his arms fused to his side, scales grew up his body, and in 30 seconds, he was fully a snake. Curling his tail around the kelvic's leg again, Sasin managed to get close enough to bite into the kelvic's shoulder.

He left his fangs retracted, not wanting to kill the ferret, but his teeth were sharp, and he had no intention of letting go.
