Physical Description
Ardo is a young man who is usually seen carrying a smile of confidence on his face, and even though he is not tall, he may seem like a giant within his own skin. He has strong facial features, but his short, light brown straight hair is cut in a way that may give him slightly boyish looks. He usually keeps his beard very short or carefully shaven, exposing a fair skin and more details of his bony face. His eyes are of a pale green, or perhaps blue, socketed deep under strong eyebrows. His forehead is quite prominent, albeit hardly noticed when covered by his hair. His build is slightly defined and lean, and he is a bit bulkier than the average man from hard training.

He usually wears simple clothes, as he is unable to afford anything much expensive. Overall he cares more about comfort than looks when it comes to clothing. A guige is often strapped around his chest, holding a round wooden shield tight on his back. Around his tunic a leather belt keeps the large scabbard of a bastard sword held by his waist. His fists and feet are also armored with leather, although of poor quality. He is armed as a soldier ready to jump into battle at any time, which may perhaps along with his confidence compensate for his lack of height when it comes to intimidating someone.

Character Concept

Ardo is a free soul and a confident man, perhaps seeming overly cocky to the observer. He is much proud of his Suvan heritage, but at the same time he feels that he needs to seek change to bring thrill to his life. He struggles to build his own path in Mizahar, resenting of those who try to manipulate it. He refuses to bow down to anyone who tries to control his life, being overly stubborn and self-centered at times, often rejecting authority. As such, he worships no gods, and places his own interests above the common sense, not lacking the ability and judgment to recognize the consequences of his actions, however.

He has a feeling of emptiness inside himself, and hence looks for something that he feels may complete him, something that he lacks in order to achieve self-realization. He does not truly know what he lacks, but he feels that it may only be achieved by bringing change into his life. In a way he feels that he was destined to be a warrior by blood and soul, and he truly enjoys improving his martial abilities, but he does not truly know how to use all of this experience and put his training into practice for a higher purpose.

He is fascinated with history, especially with the Suvan Empire, with which he feels a strong connection. As a kid he used to love the stories of famous warriors of old, and he wished that he could have lived in such a time to behold their glory. He grew up training hard with the sword, trying to mimic their feats. Perhaps he truly wishes to see the ravaged and wild Mizahar be turned back into what it once was before the Valterrian.

Character History

He was born in Denval, a member of one of the more militant families in the village. His father had died before he was born, but a man called Dietrich married his mother soon after, and he became Ardo's true father. He had a very ordinary childhood, with perhaps a bit of too much of control and authority coming from his foster father, which may have led him to seek more freedom as he grew up. His father originally intended him to be a guard in Denval, but he ended up ruining everything that was planned for him by abandoning Denval to seek a life of his own.

As all Denvali, he attended to the academy and focused on the study of martial abilities, learning to maneuver the bastard sword with skill. At the age of seventeen, he sought to further understand Mizahar by traveling abroad, seeking to find knowledge and discover the secrets that he had been told by outsiders for his whole life. He visited some of the lands to the east, as well as Wind Reach and Lhavit, but he could not find contentment in his travels. He admired the other cultures, but somehow he felt that he was needed in Denval. He returned, rather matured from the long trip, and eager to meet his relatives once more.

Shepherd's Moderator Intervention

Hello new adventurer!

Welcome to Mizahar! My name is Shepherd, and I am here to assist you in completing your Character Sheet in a manner that is respectful to the Lore and overall theme of Mizahar. I have found a few areas of confusion and error, and I'm here to work with you to set things straight.

Things Needing Fixed

Lore
I noticed that you had the Wilderness Survival Skill. As a requirement, to have that skill, you must have an accompanying lore, such as Lore of Wilderness Survival: Finding Camp or Wilderness Survival: Making a Fire. Link!

Please make the changes I've noted above, and send me a Private Message. Upon receiving your message, and reviewing your changes, I will remove the Intervention. Thank you for coming to Mizahar, and I hope you enjoy writing here.
