Jarah often takes things in, focusing on his surroundings through his five senses, a literal and very concrete manner. While he often bottles things up like some rare treasure, he tends to deal with things that come at him according to how he feels at the time or even how they fit into his system of values.
He is truly warm while being kindhearted, because of this he is rather optimistic and wants to always believe the best of the people in the world. The cook finds value in harmony and cooperation, and is likely to be sensitive toward other people’s feelings.
The man of the higher end of his thirties is constantly taking in information about people, situations and the world around them, especially those that are personally important to them. He tends to take this information he gathers and store it away, pulling it forward with startlingly accuracy and precise detail, even being able to recall the details years after the actual event took place, especially if the situation made quite an impression on Jarah’s mind.
He takes great value in security and kindness, respecting the traditions and laws, thus he is less likely to buy into doing things (
government wise) in a new way unless someone can prove to him that the new way is actually a better way to do things than that which is already established.
Doing best by getting his hands dirty, Jarah is better suited toward experimenting with things (like new flavors and recipes) and thus because of this he is rarely found in fields that require a lot of conceptual analysis or theory. He prefers a more practical application, since he learns a task when he is shown its practical application and given time to learn the task and its practical importance. After taking such tasks to heart and mind, he will rather faithfully and almost tirelessly carry through until the task at hand is complete. This makes the man extremely dependable and thus reliable for any job he is given.
While Mister Sulayman is extremely aware of not only his own internal feelings but also the feelings of others, he does not usually express their own feelings, often keeping things locked away deep inside. When the feelings he stores are negative, they often end up building up until the point that they cause Jarah to form a firm judgment toward or rather against individuals or events which end up being rather difficult to unseed. Rather like trying to move a tree with deeply grounded roots. Often feeling a strong sense of responsibility and duty towards others, taking his responsibilities very seriously and he can be counted on to follow through. Sadly Jarah often has a difficult time saying no when asked to do something, thus often becoming overburdened. When this is the case, the Sulayman male doesn’t usually express his difficulties to others because he dislikes conflict and because he places the needs of others before his very own.
Sadly Jarah does have another weakness to his personality that he often does his best to hide from those he is around or works with. You see he deep down needs the feedback of others, positive feedback. In the absence of such feedback, or even in the face of even the slightly amount of criticism, Jar gets discouraged and might even become depressed. When he becomes down on himself or even suffers from great stress, he begins to think about how all the things in his life might end up going terribly wrong. He suffers from strong feelings of being an inadequate man and this leads to him becoming convinced that something if not everything is wrong or even that he can do nothing right.
To sum it all up, Jarah is a generous, dependable and warm. He has special gifts to offer due to the sensitivity he has towards others, and their strong ability to keep things from turning to conflict. However he needs to remember that he should never be overly critical of himself and to give himself the same love and warmth which he often dispenses to other freely.

A cry rung out piercing the solemn night as a beam of moonlight shone through the single window in a small room of an insignificant home of a carpenter and milk maiden, the cry announced the birth of their first born son out of a sea of daughters that had been blessed to them before that fateful night on the 65th day of that year’s (473 AV) Spring. Soft tiny russet eyes blinked open to take in the images of his parents’ faces as little hands where held closed in fists as if he was ready to take on this new blinding world he had been born into. However over time that petite babe would grow up into a man who was happier avoiding conflicts in life then actually causing them.
Jarah grew up in Slyiras among the fields of his mother’s family farm, along with his four sisters and parents. His father worked hard among the people that needed repair work or even anything else a carpenter was good for. His mother worked as a milk maiden often delivering jugs and jars of milk to the city. While his parents worked, Jarah and his sisters tended to the house and other chores upon the farm. However one thing that Jarah took a love to was helping his mother and oldest sister prepare the daily meals. The young man even began to add flare to the meals with his experimentation with seasonings. When he was around thirteen the lad was glad to be given the chore of not only shopping for the ingredients used in the meals but also being allowed to cook the family dishes almost completely by himself.
Around the age of eighteen Jarah began an apprentice ship or a part time job at one of the local inns in Syliras hoping to help bring in more money to his family’s life. He worked hard as a young man that started out as nothing more than a dish scrubber and then up to the one that was sent out to purchase the stock for the inn’s kitchen. His life continued to be as normal as one could have in the city of Syliras and in the world of Mizahar. In fact it wasn’t until two seasons after his thirty-eighth birthday that Jarah dared to dream of grander things, and a job somewhere outside of his family home city. So packing up the few belongings he owned to his name, the young man signed up with a traveling band of merchants that where hiring up guards for the trip from Syliras to Zeltiva. And while he was not a guard the boss of the group gladly welcomed Jarah among the group after tasting some soup and bread cooked by Jarah.
The travel was long and hard but finally came the day that Zeltiva’s main gates came into view and soon he along with the caravan was allowed into the city. Leaving the group of merchants at the market, Jarah headed off toward the city’s University in search of a job. His fate now would rest in the hands of those that ran the school.
