Magic Haters

Is there an organized group? Like the Silencers are sort of that but not really. I'm more thinking of a group who hunts down known wizards or something.

No organized group, but the majority of people distrust magic and those who practice it.

Sunberth in particular. They publicly slaughter anyone even rumored to practice magic.

Myrians, as a whole, distrust magic, particularly personal magic, due to its effects on the user and the potential danger these effects may pose to those around them. They will especially despise it after the year-change event (the wild djed storm) triggers. Known (personal) magic users will be ~~prosecuted~~ persecuted.

OOC-wise, PC's may only learn magic in my region (from and for the Myrians, at least) under special circumstances. The Dhani are more likely to use magic (especially Hypnotism) than the Myrians would.

Thanks a ton. This character's goal is to make magic more widely accepted, so a group of the sort would obviously pose serious problems (more than he will experience already haha)
