A surreal cavern city inhabited by Symenestra where stones glow and streets are reams of silk. Cocoon like structures hang between stalactites and cascade over limestone flows in organic and eerie arabesques. Without a Symenestra willing to escort you, entrance is impossible.

Devero entered the back of the Nerium Family Shop, to see his mother, wife, and a naked woman he didn't recognize. She was a good bit older, well past her fertility. His mother and Navara were taking her measurements, clearly looking to sell her new clothing. The older woman spoke first, "Ah, this must be your husband, Devero. He is quite easy on the eyes, much more... manly than many of those around here." She turned to Navara, "Do you mind if I borrow his company for the day? You should have my new wardrobe finished by then correct?" Navara smiled, "Please do, he's more of a distraction when he's around here anyways. No one can ever seem to keep their eyes off of him. Or their hands. And we are done with the measurements, so you two can get going." She loved to tease him, and she was quite proud that she had one of the best looking men in the city.

The older woman dressed, and grabbed her very full coin-purse. "Let's go do some shopping, I haven't gotten any new art lately."
Devero held out his elbow, and she slipped her arm through it. He guessed her to be about fifty years old or so. And while she was older, she was still beautiful. Her face had very few age lines, much of her skin was still tight, and her breasts only had a slight sag to them. They began making their way across the lines toward the Orchard Market. "I'm afraid I don't know your name, and you clearly know mine. So what do I call this charming creature on my arm?"

"You can call me Anyo, but my full name is Anyolaisa. I, unfortunately, am a widow of my Web. My husband died of weakness of the heart a decade ago. It gets lonely now. I've never had an empty home before. At least he left me with enough to live comfortably until the end of my days."

"Well Anyo, let's see if we can't keep one another in fine company for a good while."

The pair entered the hanging stalls of The Orchard Market. Here, she took the lead, pulling Devero along. They approached an amethyst colored stall. It looked to be stocked with jewelry made of the skyglass popular in the nearby city of Lhavit. Anyo picked up a large necklace, with plates of colored skyglass along the neck, with a large sapphire pendant in the center. She went to try it on, the pendant nestling between her breasts. She turned to Devero, "Am I too old for this piece? It seems to be a bit much."

Devero examined her, trying to make an honest opinion. Her cleavage had a slight sage to it, but cushioned beneath the pendant. Quite frankly, she was too young for that necklace. "You are actually too young for that necklace. Your breasts still have their youthful spring and fullness, so the pendant covers your natural beauty. You need something small, that sits perfectly in the valley of your curvature."

"Oh, you are too kind my sweet Devero. How about this one then?"
She held up a choker, that had a long string of pink and red diamonds down the front. She put it on, the line falling between her breasts and settling there. It suited her perfectly. "It is beautiful my dear Anyo." She lit up like a girl being asked into marriage by her childhood sweetheart. She handed the merchant 2500 golden mizas.

"How about we go and get a drink?"

Devero smiled at Anyo, a drink would be quite nice right now. And there was only one place for a good drink in town. He delicately took Anyo's hand, and began along the rope bridges. Anyo was giggling the whole while, as if she were on her first date all over again. Devero was glad he could bring her some joy. He couldn't bring himself to think what he would do if he were to lose Navara. Or if he left her behind. He quickly stifled the idea, and continued along the red lines until the large, glowing pillar appeared in the distance. It had been a while since Devero had come here for a drink.

"Oh! The Hunter's Gather! I haven't been here since I was a girl!"

Devero smiled, and led her into the tavern. There were only a handful of customers, and Devero selected a table in a dark corner in the back. He decided that he would truly treat her, despite her being much more well off than himself. When one of the servers approached, Devero shot Anyo a smile, much like one a new male suitor would give to his date. "Allow me." He ordered the best bottle of wine they offered, and a platter of fruit. The man told Devero that it would cost a good bit extra, to which he agreed. The man brought him a bottle labeled "Eyktol Ruby," a dark red from the great Eypharian city of Ahnatep. A pitcher of wine would normally cost about a gold, but this would run him four. The fruit would run him another two. The platter consisted of sliced strawberries, pitted cherries, and sliced peaches. He paid the man, and turned toward Anyo.

He poured each of them a glass, and handed one to her. "To a night divine my dear." They both said a quick prayer to Viratas over their food, clinked glasses, and took deep swigs. The wine was deep, robust, and the alcohol was well hidden behind the tones. He plucked a small cherry from the platter, and slowly, sensually brought it to Anyo's lips. The woman smiled slightly, and parted her lips, allowing the fruit and the tips of his fingers to slip within. She suckled gently on the finger tips before removing her lips and lightly chewing the fruit.

This continued for several more gestures, and even more glasses of wine, until the both of them were fairly inebriated. The shoulder strap of Anyo's long, flowing dress had slipped off her shoulder and down her arm. Devero had a hand resting on her leg, just above the knee, the bottom of the dress bunched up just above it. She was leaning onto him, an arm around his shoulders. Devero pushed her hair back, exposing her neckline, which he stroked with the backs of his fingers. She shuddered at the touch, even more so when he followed the touch with a kiss on the curve.

"How about we go somewhere more private Anyo?"

She giggled, and said she knew just the place.

Anyo led Devero along the line, the pair stumbling drunkenly along, not falling into the darkness below by sheer racial memory of walking the lines. He laughed, "Where are we going dear?"
Anyo giggled, "We are going to the Temple! We are going to do something I've always wanted to do! Ever since I met my husband for the first time. But he wouldn't do it, said it was disrespectful to Viratas. But I disagree! Viratas would gladly accept the offering!"

In his drunken state, Devero had no idea what she was talking about. But soon, she was dragging him into the temple, which was surprisingly empty. She led him over to the pool of blood in the center. She giggled, "I haven't gone swimming for many years now, it's a dying tradition." She removed her dress, and stepped out of it, and looked back over her shoulder. "You going to join me?"

Devero smiled back at her, and began to slowly peel off his own clothing. He watched as the beautiful older woman stepped into the sacred pool. She immersed herself up to her neck in the dark crimson liquid. Devero had never entered the pool himself, it was, as she said, a lost tradition. He stepped up to the edge, and said a quick prayer to Viratas, and took a step in. It was strange, despite being centuries old, the blood still felt warm. It was often a shared belief that Viratas blessed the pool so as to never age, nor lose it's life-giving contents. Devero lowered himself down into the blood, up to his chest. It was a strange sensation. Warm, thick, smooth. He'd never experienced anything like that.

He made his way over to Anyo, cupping her cheeks in his hands. He raised her face to his, her crimson coated breasts pressing against his chest, and his mouth began to devour hers. Maybe it was the blood, or the alcohol, or because she was truly a beautiful, amazing woman, but his lust for her was peaking. And she was returning the feelings several fold. He pressed her back against the side of the pool, and slipped his hands beneath her thighs. Slowly, he pressed into her, a small moan escaping her throat.

A couple bells later...

As the two exited the pool, all the blood seemed to drip down and off their bodies back into the sacred collective. Not one drop escaped. They dressed, Anyo appearing to be very satisfied, after years of disappointment. They made their way back to the Nerium shop, she purchased her wardrobe, and began out the door.

"Thank you Devero, thank you so much."

Devero gave her a soothing smile, and took Navara's hand, and the two left the shop, and went home.

THREAD AWARD!

Skills: Seduction 3, Swimming 1, Persuasion 1
Lores: Acquaintance: Anyo, Swimming in Blood

Notes: I love reading your posts! Feel free to make more work solos!

It should be obvious what I gave you points in Seduction for.

I also gave you a point in Swimming because Devero probably did at least a little bit of swimming in between "satisfying" Anyo.

The point in Persuasion is for persuading Anyo to get a different necklace.
