Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

One of Riverfall's most prominent recreational feature is the The Water Park. Lars Varkas, having something of a sense of humor, established the park more than fifty years ago as a way to train young geomancers before turning them loose on more important projects within the cliff of Riverfall proper. The park, as a result, had only grown over the years. Half designed within the cliff and half on the surface, the water park lies just north of Riverfall fed by a side channel diverted off the main course of the waterfall outside walls of Riverfall.

On the surface the park is featured a cluster of stone gazebos by a very small artificial lake that acts as a staging pool for people who wish to slide down the rather large set of rapids that are all smoothed off and provide a fast long slide down part of the cliff to the waiting seawater below. There are half a dozen channels that utilize this surface flow. The lake itself is generally, in the summer and late fall season, filled with eager people all laughing, tossing floating balls back and forth to each other, and taking turns sliding down the rapids. Long stairways lead from the surf below up towards the staging pool. People don't have to slide all the way down to the beach. It's quite a slide if they do. Instead, they can slide to any number of small plunge pools dotting the cliff and then climb back up to shorter make the shorter runs again. The pools along the cliff side are elegantly decorated, some with smooth lips and some very private with clumps of climbing roses and jasmine which bloom in the summer.

The second portion of the Water Park is all inside and underground, heated from the harshest Riverfall winters. From the stone gazebos people can drop down a narrow stairway, through a perfectly hung stone door that swung so easily a child could open, and down into the cliff itself. A large underground gallery area allows people to stow their stuff and hold events at the park itself in the shelter of the cliff. A similar, though far larger, stone pool holds fresh waterfall water where it can be heated before its sent down to pools via a series of slides deeper into the heart of the stone. The slides here are long, well intertwined, and often spill out into private pools and quiet alcoves. Stairs lead everywhere, carved into the very stone in a maze form that is easy to get lost in or find privacy.

The Water Park is open year round, but is most heavily utilized in the Summer where the outdoors portion is filled with young people and warriors alike. The indoors is most commonly used during winter and into early spring and late fall. The cost is free, the heating services provided by The City of Riverfall.
