Zeltiva now has a comprehensive player's guide which contains a whole host of information. The linkmap and NPC library have been integrated into this guide too. It's still very much a work in progress, especially the NPC library, but take a look. We hope this will be an invaluable resource to new and old players alike!

A note on skills:

Yes, we're a writers RPG, but this is also a game. Your character is bound by their skill levels, and too many players are punching above their weight, not just in Zeltiva, but game wide. Reread the skill pages for your skills, and make sure you know what is likely and what is unrealistic.

Indestructible and invincible characters are dull, boring, and we get fed up with them quickly. It doesn't make your character "cool". Interesting stories and personalities do that.

Thank you so much for all your responses to the quest questionnaire - I'm going to be taking on board a lot of what you said, and applying it to the next Act!

Can I also get some opinions on the Player's Guide. How does it feel? Would it be helpful to newcomers? Is it aesthetically pleasing? And more importantly, what else would you like to see in it?

If the newcomers read it, it will be helpful! I've been floating around Zeltiva for less than a month but I found some information I hadn't know before had not been aware of previously.

Aesthetically, I like it. Perhaps because I'm used to seeing the template with your posts Paragon but I still enjoy it. You broke everything down into simple sections so it was easy to find what I was looking for.

The only thing I would say to add is maybe a link for the Zeltiva lore itself. ^-^

I like the player's guide, and I appreciate that you condensed all that information into a single thread, which keeps us players from having to look in several different places for city information and also helped reduce number of stickies in the forum. I also like that you broke down the linkmap a little further into different types of locations, and the clarification on mizas versus nilos in Zeltiva was very helpful.
