13th of Winter 512AV

The smith at the desk fidgeted a bit as Shadowfang walked in, but he needn't worry. Shadowfang was here for one reason. Without speaking, he pulled out his journal and dropped it on the desk. The open page showed the drawn image of a knife with the words "Assassin's Dagger" written over it. The smith looked from the book, to Shadowfang, and back to the book again. Shrugging, he went to the back of the building and pulled a broad bladed dagger from a pile of weapons.

Placing it on the table, the man said "4 Gold Mizas."

Fishing the money out of his pouch, Shadowfang placed in on the table, grabbed his journal and newly acquired dagger, and left without a word.

Spring, Day 16 512AV

Rail walked into the armory with trepidation... he had never liked weapons but his new job called for some semblance of being armed. A quick scan of the weapons on display didnt do much to hearten him. Most of these weapons would require him to carry them around in a sheath in human form, and would hinder his shifts.

While sifting through some of the more obscure weapons something unusual caught his eye. A dart with wicked blades protruding from the sides attached to a fine chain. He hefted it a bit and smiled. It was an extremely light piece of work and he knew he could carry it without being hindered.

He quickly walked up to the counter and placed the unusual weapon on the counter," How much?" he asked quickly

With a grunt the man looked down at what hed picked out," 7 gold mizas buddy."

Rail quickly dug out the required money and slapped it down. With a final grin at the clerk he turned and headed out the door wrapping the chain around his arm," Time to get to work."

22nd of Spring, 512 AV

As safe as he felt in the possession of the new dagger he had bought a couple days ago, Casper felt unsatisfied with its abilities, especially since the entire population of Sunberth had either the same or something bigger. He knew that he had never had any sort of training regarding weapons, so he thought the knife would do if he had no skill and needed a sharp object to fight with. However, he was quick to learn that the tiny blade needed skill to be wielded properly like any other weapon. After understanding this, Casper felt the need to obtain a weapon he liked and commit to it, learn to use it.

So, there he was, standing as clueless as ever in the Armory, without a single know-how of which of these weapons could ever suit him. His eyes darted around the myriad of blades on display until they came to rest on a particular sword. It wasn't like the others, with its particular hilt and thin nature. He rather liked how his eyes followed the slight but apparent curve that the metal was fashioned in. He grasped the hilt, and ran his hand along the metal as though acquainting himself with it. He liked it.

"I'll take this..." He said, dropping the sword on the counter.
"That's a Tulwar. Twenty two gold mizas." Without any hesitation or attempt to haggle, Casper place the money onto the counter, nodded in thanks at the man, and left.

14th Day of Spring, 512 AV

Davros squinted a bit as he walked down the street, eying the Armory as he approached. From afar he could see the line of costumers waiting to get their supplies. He placed a hand over his forehead to block the sun, tired of squinting as he used his free hand to push his way through a few stand-still civilians and got in line behind a man and woman, apparently a couple. Davros turned around only to observe the street he was on, then stepped up as the two both ordered long swords, crossbows, and metal arrows. Davros sunk back a bit in contemplation as he listened.

''Rich.' He thought to himself. 'Won't be much trouble to follow around a corner and take whats theirs...'

His maleficent thoughts trailed off as they finished and began to slowly walk away. Davros hadn't noticed he was staring until the large man behind the desk got his attention.

"Hey, buddy!"

Davros calmly looked from the pair, to the merchant as he opened his mouth, speaking his request.

"I need studded leather armor, assassin's beads, and a left handed gauntlet with a blade of some sort fixed upon it."

The man looked at Davros with a raised eyebrow, looked him up and down then went to the back of the building. A few moments later he came back with a leather brace-like gauntlet and a set of studded armor. He then reached under the desk to retrieve the assassin's beads and slapped them on the counter.

"The gauntlet isn't bladed." An irritated Davros let loose.

The merchant picked up the vambrace and fitted it to his left hand. He moved his hand about, as if showing off the flexibility, then moved his hand down as a blade slid out of the top of his wrist, only retracting when he lifted his hand.

"Its pulled by a ring, which is attached to a string, all of which fits on your choice of finger. Preferably the pinky." He paused, then said- "45 Gold Mizzas." Almost in a greedy tone.

Davros eyed him at first, opened his pouch to subtract the amount from his inventory and neatly place them on the counter. "Appreciate it." He said as he slid the beads over his head, pursed the gauntlet to his wrist, and folded the armor over his left forearm. He gave the building and the merchant a last glance, then turned to walk off, looking for the couple he'd seen before.

21st Day of Summer, 512 AV

Koeher walked into the store and, to the surprise of the smiths, this Pycon was wandering around Sunberth alone.

He walked up to the closest smith, and asked, stoically, "I want to buy a Py-pole".

The smith picked up the small, yet deadly, weapon out of where he kept them, and stated the price "12 Gold Mizas."

Koeher, having thought in advance, pushed 12 gold coins out of his 'stomach', and arranged them in a small stack.

The smith walked out from behind the counter and picked up the coins, handing the weapon to Koeher afterwards.

Koeher nodded and was off to start whatever shady business he would do.

Season of Winter, Day 12, 512AV

As Alex walked into the Armory, he knew that he had come to the right place. With list in hand of what he wanted, he walked up to the boy behind the counter and placed the list down in front of him. The boy looked at the list, looked up at Alex, looked back at the list, and then looked back at alex with an expression of stunned silence. Alex smiled and pulled out the required payment of 35 gold mizas, but took out an extra 10 mizas. Five for the boy, and five for the smith.

"Can you make everything on that list?" Alex asked the boy, with just a hint of urgency. "I will give the list to the smith, and he will complete your order." The boy said, and raced back to give the list to the smith, along with the money.

Around two hours later, the boy came back with the equipment, along with the master smith. Alex grinned with joy. Everything here had been crafted to perfection. His fur-lined leather gloves were here, so was the velvet shirt, along with the fur-lined high leather boots. Alex couldn't wait any longer. He pulled on the gloves, stuffed his feet into the shin-high boots, and pulled the velvet shirt over his head, being mindful of the linen wrap around his cheek. He then pulled his father's short sword out of his belt, and tied it to his backpack. He now had a proper weapon. He picked up the brand new short sword that the smith had crafted for him. Alex had specifically asked that the handle be crafted in the body of a wolf, and that the guard have the shape of a wolf's jaw. He slid the sword into his belt, pulled on his backpack, made sure everything was secure and snug, and then thanked the smith and exited the shop.

Mathos Rockfist Coglias

4th of Spring 513 AV

As Mathos walked up to what he had been told was the most reputable and quality armory of this slimepit of a city, his walk was full of an arrogant swagger. He was Isur, he was Coglias, it was an insult to suggest that he would be apprenticed under a lesser race. However miza, a full stomach, and a place to work spoke louder than his pride and drove the his spirit to bend and search out an apprenticeship. Nearing the building Mathos noticed that it was somewhat drab, fitting in with the rest of the city like a hand in a glove. But in comparison to the mountain strongholds of his home, cities made by the hands of the lesser peoples seemed as molehills to his eyes.

Walking in the door, Mathos strode up to the front desk and quickly stated his intention. "I'm here for an apprenticeship. I have some skill in the craft and am a hard worker. I also have advantages that none of lesser races can offer, I was born to the craft and need means to fulfill my birthright. Have you a position? And if so what compensation do you offer?"

The distinctive clink the echoed throughout the damp street guided Garret towards it, confirming that he was heading to the right place. His leather boots scrapped against the cobbled floor as he stepped up to heavy wooden door. It was a large building, sturdy and warm to the touch as hot, black smoke rose up from the chimneys. It built by more skilled hand then most of the buildings scattered around Sunberth.

He twisted the blackened iron handle, it screeched loudly as he open the door and pushed it forward, feeling a wave of hot air roll over him as he stood in the doorway of the smithy. The smell of sweat and smoke flooded his nostrils as he face started to redden from the heat "Get ya arse in here and close that bleedin' door, you're lettin' all the heat out" A youthful voice shouted at him.

He wandered up to the counter where a young man leant against it, definitely no more than fifteen years old he had brutally short hair, a blackened face and a chin that had yet to be graced with facial hair. He was dressed in thick cotton clothes that were drenched with the sweat of recent labour and the blistering heat of the forge with only a dirty leather apron and gloves that were clearly too big.

"Well what the petch do you want?" He demanded, clearly miffed that he had to go back to work.
"Mind your tongue boy or I'll cut it off" Garret threatened, he wasn't tolerating any crap from someone half his age who had yet to become a man "I have need of weapons and protection"
"You've come to the right place, what you lookin' for?"
"Throwing axes, three of them"
He stated before adding quickly "From the same set" he had how this armoury came into most of their possessions.
"Anything else?"
"A small shield, round and wooden. The last one accidently became firewood"
"Oh really?"
The worker asked grinning "Were you drunk at the time?"
"That's strange, the dunk guy who accidently threw it on found it funny"
"What's strange about that?"
"He wasn't laughing when I stuck his face in the fire. Now get my equipment before I stick that stupid grinning face of yours into a forge"

It wasn't long before the lad came back with his gear, he laid down the wooden shield for Garret inspection. It seemed new enough, a light brown wood that had yet to become weather and worn for use, with a thin metal rim and a domed metal boss in the centre that had been dented "Good enough for me" he replied as the lad presented the throwing axes to him.
"I could only find two from the same set" he muttered nervously "But they are nigh on identical, you couldn't tell them apart if you tried." The boy wasn't lying, they both had thick wooden shafts with identical steel heads. He picked them both up, testing the weight in each hand "They'll do, how much for the lot"
"Actually I thought this might interest you as well" He laid out several pieces of the leather armour "I found this set in the storeroom, it's all there - Cuirass, gauntlets, greaves-"
"Vambraces, cuisses. Yeah, I have eyes so I can see.." he said as he picked up each piece. It was fairly average quality leather, nothing special about it that Garret could see. Tough, waterproof, dark brown with a hardened breastplate and pauldrons "Fine... I'll take it"
Maths clearly wasn't the lads strong point as he counted off his fingers "Umm...eight plus eight is... sixteen then add a three is..."
"Twenty nine you idiot, twenty nine golden Mizas"
He fished the money out of his pouch and dumped it on the counter "Try not to steal all of it"

Dead before bowed.
Fallon, I didn't thread because I was scared you would kill Garret, I know the rules perfectly. It was simply because I didn't like you, when I logged on and saw a bunch of veterans complaining that they couldImage not find threads and newbies should approach them because they are so much better us new people, I just thought one thing. What a bunch of cunts.

Wisp felt unnaturally good that day. Despite last night's débâcle he felt rather cheery. It was rather like the short lived cheer that had followed him in his first few days in Sunberth. He didn't want to confront it but a nagging suspicion deep within him was telling him that the blood was what was doing it.

He entered the armoury flashing a cheery smile at the young man who was standing at the counter. Wisp detected a hint of something like fear pass the young man's face but it was gone almost before it started. Wisp frowned. Why did people always do that when he smiled?

He stepped up to the counter looking around for wares but he couldn't see any. “Where are your wares, boy?” He asked the teenager.

“No wares on display here, Sir. I can tell you what we got in stock though if you're interested.” The boy answered in a bored voice.

“Go on.” Wisp said simply waiting to hear what they had on offer.

“We got eight knuckledusters, six swords, thirteen daggers, a handaxe, two greataxes, a pair of bladed boots...”

“Wait there boy. Lemme see the bladed boots.” Wisp smiled. That sounded promising. He'd heard of them before. They were spring loaded so they looked like normal shoes until you wanted them too.

The boy turned and went into the back. After several long moments he came back empty handed. “Sorry, must have sold them. We got a light flail, four maces (three light, one heavy), eight rooster blades, a club and three scythes. Uh, think that's it for the now.”

Wisp was speechless. What an odd assortment of weapons. Did the smithies here just make what they feel like?

“Oh and a Wakizashi.” The boy added as the thought struck him.

Wisp decided not to ask what the hell that was. He reviewed the short odd list and came to a conclusion. “Show me the Knuckledusters and bring out the Heavy Mace.”

The boy went into the back and came back some time later with his hands rather full. He dumbed the collection of metal items on the table. A long steel mace with a brutal flanged head lay in the centre surrounded by twisted metal objects that didn't seem to have anything in common other than finger holes and even the amount of holes varied. Some of them were bladed, others were studded and one kind of looked like a hair brush. There was only one pair of similar ones. The had two finger holes big enough for two fingers each. Unlike some of the others they were small enough to be fit into pockets. They had five triangles of hard metal set on a wood panel. They were rather high quality.

“I'll take them.” he said picking up the mace and examining it. “How do you sheathe a mace exactly?”

The young man shrugged “Belt with a loop at the side. Maybe a bit of protective padding at the hip. We might have procured a belt like that with the Mace. Lemme see.” He came back a few moments with a belt just as he had said.

Thannis tried the belt on and smiled. “Perfect! Today is a great day. How much do I owe you, good boy?” Wisp said cheerily as he dropped the mace through the loop to let it hang at his side.

“Eh, um 14 Gold ones, Sir.” The apprentice said hastily counting in his head. Thannis dug out the coins and deposited htem on the counters picking up his knuckledusters and tucking them into his pockets as he left the store. Today was a good day.

Receipt :
2x Knuckle Dusters = -1 GM
Heavy Mace = -12 GM
Leatherbelt with loop and extra padding at the hip = –5 SM
PROFIT = -5sm
Total = -14 GM
