Chavena Fortunes
In a city of chaos and violence, amidst all the hatred and worship, live is no more predictable than the rest of the world. Some wonder who killed their father, who stole their wife, or who it was that lurked in the ally ways every time they passed? When your wondering what life is bringing and where your going to turn out, you have a fortune teller's shop: Chavena Fortunes.
Located on the edge of the merchant's ring, the shop is made of pale gray bricks, haphazardly placed, creating jagged shadows no matter the time of day. A simple wooden sign identifying the building protrudes out a few feet above and to the left of the thick brown door. The only peek inside possible is through a small window right of the door.
Once inside you are greeted pleasantly by the young fortune teller. The shop is ran by Genesis, a secretive but charming young lady with long black hair, blue and green hints sometimes visible. She is fairly short and curvy, typically dressed in greens or grays colors. Wooden floors of wide planks and simple white-washed walls border the small room. Across the room from the door that leads to the streets, is another smaller door that leads to an empty second floor and Genesis's apartment on the third. It is always locked.Other than a counter and shelves on the wall, the rooms only furniture is a table and chairs where fortunes are told. The room is dark and mysterious, not much for the eyes too look at, but instead allowing a canvas from which your future to unfold before you.
The readings are intimate, more so than with other fortune tellers, not that the customer will ever discover why. Genesis becomes involved emotionally as she foretells you whats to come. Her eyes lock on, holding you tightly in place, her hands graze your palms, reading, seeming to seep inside your mind.
