Yes that is a picture with a mermaid in it and a tiny reproduction of the one in Copenhagen on the book beside the chair.
The Board has a card from my sister and a portion of the letter-press piece of my wedding invitation. I usually change its decor for each season. The porcelain basket has stationary, stamps, an address book and a tiny Bible.

I don't really own/use desks apart from the office. I'm a computer on my lap sort.
