Cumulus and Cirrus (Lessira)

Spring 33rd 512 A.V

The sunlight slanted off of her.gilded hair and crystal horns, pooling in her blue eyes and making them shine. She mirrored the land with the gold of her sunspun hair, the green of her leaf-coloured horns and the blue of her sky eyes.

And what a beautiful sky it was that they mimicked. Clouds scuttled across the sea of blue, columns that descended into whispy tails that became nothing before rising again into another column some distance away.

Wind stirred the grass. Somewhere a bird unseen chirruped.

It was almost as though the Storm hadn't brushed the world. The scars were hidden from her, lost in ignorance for she didn't know the world before it. It was beautiful as it was and she couldn't imagine it any different.

Chamaeleon was easily brighter than sunlight.

Her eyes closed as the breeze that made the grass tremble flowed over the angles of her face.

Chamaeleon loved the wind on a bright day. She could say that with certainty and conviction.

Her eyes reoppened as the wind died and she looked down at herself, lifting her hands to watch the sparkle of gold across her fingers. She could lose herself in her own body for hours in the sunlight.

She could lose herself and not be aware of her surroundings, and that was what happened.

She stood there, looking daft and staring at the play of light across the digits of her left hand.
Spider, spider.

Cumulus and Cirrus (Lessira)

Postby Lessira on March 10th, 2012, 9:21 pm

Sun's light flowed freely though the every blue sky, and a soft breeze whistled through and tasseled Lessira's white locks. Once more Syna reigned over the world, and the glow of Leth was just a memory within the girl's mind. WIth a sigh Lessira shook her head, returning once more to the matter at hand.

In her hands Lessira held a single metal object. It was small, round and had many ridges along its outside surface. A single hole in the very middle brought many interesting ideas to the girl's mind, and on a whim she held it up to her eye to look out through the miniature point. What she held, of course, was a metal gear. Its size and simplicity had captivated the girl to such an extent that she had spent most of the morning simply looking at it, taking in its form and shape with a single-minded intensity.

The girl sat cross-legged in the grass, turning the gear over and over again in her thin fingers. Her head tilted this way and that, those wavy logs swaying back and forth with every motion. Sparkling blue eyes were so trained on the objects strangeness that Lessira almost mist the form standing just a short disnance away.

When had she arrived? Lessira could not say, but then it was very possible that the person could have been there from the very beginning and Lessira had simply not noticed. Thus having worked through this strange conundrum, Lessira's attention was once more beginning to tune back into the interesting piece within her hands, but then she noticed something.

Her head whipped back around, eyes lighting upon the figure once more,
Are those horns?

Now, as the sun's light fell upon the girl before her, and it was obvious that the figure was female, Lessira was greeted by a visage that was far more than any mortal could be. Indeed those had been horns, and now the girl looked upon this picture of heavenly beauty with eyes opened by realization. She took in those shimmering jewels of green that rested upon a pallet of dark blond hair. The woman's eyes shown out as if they held behind them the force of the sun itself, and Syna's glow upon her skin set dancing sparkles of light about the glade where she stood.

For the briefest moment Lessira was stunned to silence, frozen in place by a mixture of feelings. Surprise and relief were predominant, with a mixture of excitement that send the Konti scrambling to her feet. With quick strides that spoke of grace and confidence, Lessira made her way toward the woman, her eyes never leaving those shimmering horns and stunning eyes. One hand came up in a wave, and a smile touched her lips like the due upon the early morning grass. Her entire form and posture spoke of excitement, of joy and happiness as she came to a halt just a short distance away.

There she stood, eyes roaming over this picture of beauty as she faught to find the words...

When she spoke, her voice was light and lilting, like the sound of chimes in the wind,
"Please... what is your name?"

Blue eyes gleamed as a voice spoke out, rousing Chamaeleon from her examination of her golden skin. They flicked around briefly, lost as they fought to find the one who spoke with a voice like Zulrav's own soft melody, before they settled on another woman with sapphires set in her face and hair paler than any other Chamaeleon had seen.

Who was she?

With a bright smile, Chamaeleon faced this interesting woman. She was smaller than Chamaeleon and lesser in appearance, but still she soared above the women of the human race. Scales glittered along the column of her throat, where gills sat. The sight amused Chamaeleon for some reason.

"I am Chamaeleon," she said. Her own voice was warm, like honey heated by sunlight and sweetened by oranges. It lilted, bordering on laughter at the beauty of the girl in the sunlight and the realisation she must look magical by moonlight.

"And who are you?" A slender eyebrow rose at her own question as she stepped closer and her eyes flitted up and down this interesting woman's form. Not a lecherous gaze, but an interested one. She didn't mean harm, but she hadn't met another girl inhuman in nature yet. Could she be blamed for her curiousity?

"What is that?" The Ethaefal found her attention upon the object the girl held, the circle with ridges and a hole. It brought to mind the sun high above with the bright eye of Syna in the center.

Her eyes were captivated, stunned to silence by the figure presented before, and for a moment she did not realize that she was being spoken too. Shaking her head, the long white hair splaying out around her, Lessira offered a small smile, still gazing with the greatest of wonder.

"I am Lessira." What more could she say? Lessira blinked and tilted her head, her finger absently stroking the gear as she sought further words, but she was saved the trouble by the girl's question. Raising the device so that both could easily view it, she answered, "This is called a gear, and it is used to make such wondrous things!"

The girl's eyes wandered over the rideges for a moment, taking in the shape and feel of the metal object, "It is so interesting... no?"

When she looked up the girl's sought something deep within, an answer to an unspoken question, though she felt she knew the answer already. Stepping closer still, Lessira brought up a hand to touch one of the golden locks, stopping just short of one of the glistening horns, almost as if she hesitated. Her eyes fell on Cham's once more as she softly spoke, "You are... of Syna? Is it true, that which I now feel... are you fallen as well?"

OOCSorry it took so long :)

"Where did it come from?" Chamaeleon murmured as she watched the gear in Lessira's hand. It was probably sad that Lessira took awe in Chamaeleon's appearance, while Chamaeleon herself was awed by that circular, ridged piece of metal. She wanted to know who made it, why, and for whom. Was it a gift to Lessira? Did she buy it? If age did, where did she buy it?

She didn't get the chance to put her thoughts into words, because without warning, Lessira breached the realm of what most people saw as personal space and touched Chamaeleon. Chamaeleon didn't mind however, and allowed the girl the chance to feel her curled hair and horns.

Lessira then asked a question that caused Chamaeleon's heart to jump in her throat and step closer, her head tilting quizzicaly.

"How do you know what I am?" She asked quietly. Her voice was muted as she thought quickly. "I am of Syna, yes, but also of Leth." Her brow furrowed slightly in thought. "You aren't of Syna and Leth too, are you?"

Chamaeleon felt she should recognise the girl if that was the case. Wouldn't she have horns too? Her guess felt wrong, yet she had to ask. This moment felt like the moment before a great realisation, and she felt her heart beating rapidly and loudly.

Her heart skipped a beat as the music within her soul swelled to crescendo and danced and swirled in a fantastic cascade of excitement. It was true! There were others, and she was no longer alone! Oh those beats thrummed through her, echoing her pounding heart as she was filled with questions and undulations the likes of which she had never felt before!

Thus she was unconfined, unable to recapture that burst of feelings and motions until, without pause she leaped with excitement and wrapped her arms about this shining example of perfection.

"Yes!" She cried, "Yes so it is! I am of Leth's fallen, one cast out from her home to wander the world for a purpose."

Her arms tightened around Chameleon, a warm trickle beginning at the corner of her eyes that complimented the slight tremble of her voice beneath the excitement, "Yes my sister, my dearest companion in this existence... yes..." The girl pressed her face against Cham's shoulder, the warmth falling freely now as she spoke, "I-I had thought... th-that I was alone..."

Mentally shaking herself, Lessira freed Syna's fallen from her desperate grasp and stepped back, quickly wiping away the showage of passion that had left streaks upon her cheeks. A bubbly laughed escaped her lips, a mixture of relief and joy as she looked up to catch Cham's eye once more, "But it seems that Leth guides us still, for here I have found another. I am overjoyed to see you my sister."

Cumulus and Cirrus (Lessira)

Postby Chamaeleon on April 16th, 2012, 11:21 pm

Chamaeleon's blue eyes went wide as the other woman suddenly pulled her into an embrace. Moisture pooled visibly in Lessira's eyes, and for a few breathless moments, Chamaeleon thought she had said something wrong and brought up some painful memory.

And then slowly, what Lessira was saying beneath her tears and the wobble in her voice began to catch in Chamaeleon's mind, and the sun spun music that lilted through her soul both solemnly and vibrantly began to resound. Like the beating thump of a drum and the jingle of soft bells it swelled inside her, picking up into a crescendo and rising into a forte from a piano in pitch.

Lessira told Chamaeleon that she was not alone. The small woman in Chamaeleon's arms said that she was lost from the realm of her father, as Chamaeleon had been lost from the realm of her mother, and the doubt of the moment previous slipped away as a bubble of laughter erupted past her shimmering lips and she embraced the slender woman in turn.

It was a wonderful, somber feeling to find out she was not alone. She was sad beneath it all that yet another beautiful soul had to join the quiet vigil of watching the days and nights melt away, but this feeling of closeness she had thought she lost was enough to send her in the realm of soaring joy.

The two long lost sisters stepped apart after a few moments of giddy laughter, in which the daughter of Syna felt a quicksilver tear slip past her eyelid and dance down her cheek. She hadn't cried before, and so she wiped away that lone show of emotion and smiled brighter because of it.

"I am overjoyed to see you as well, my sister," Chamaeleon said, her voice much more warm than it had been. It seemed the sun was smiling on this meeting as well, for the light felt much more pure than it had anywhere else in Sunberth. "I am overjoyed that I am not alone as I had thought I was. It seems both Syna and Leth have placed us here for this meeting!"

She laughed again and clapped her hands, her joy still trumpeting through her with an overwhelming force.
