Just a reminder that I'll be migrating the site later today.
By read-only, I mean I'll be physically taking away the posting pages.
The rest of the site will stay up, so you can for example keep chatting till the very last moment. But if you upload pictures, change your avatars, post in the wiki, after the notice is up, that stuff probably WON'T be transferred over. My suggestion is to postpone such things.
The site's address will stay the same. What changes is the IP address behind the name mizahar.com . The domain name is just a mnemonic for us poor humans... what the internet cares about is that mizahar.com really means 173.201.20.84 at this time, and that number is going to change. Your machine asks a DNS server "what's the IP address for mizahar.com?" and the server gives you those four numbers. Now, when we move to a new machine, we make a change to the domain record, but this change doesn't immediately register with DNS servers across the world. These servers exist in a hierarchy, and each updates its tables every few hours copying them from its "superiors", so to speak. So it takes some time for any change to be seen everywhere. Until then, mizahar.com still appears to be pointing at the old site.
Now, I suggest clearing your cache and cookies after the move (not now!). Old cookies can give some people trouble logging in. Old cache can cause problems with loading images from the gallery (they are timestamped... long story.) You can do both easily from your browser's option panel. Be careful not to delete every cookie, though... just the mizahar.com ones.
