One of those Mornings (Krivak)

As the Yak carried her, she couldn't help but feel special. How often was it that an animal someone had just met would be so caring? He seemed to be thanking her. And on top of it all, he seemed to enjoy her playing with his long, thick hair. Had she just made friends with a yak? That had to be it! And her smile widened as he continued walking and she continued to scratch and play with his hair. The Vantha continued to hum the same tune until she noticed they were heading into the Tavern. Her first thought was a question on how he would fit into the place, as in, would there be enough room in there for the Yak to move around. Maybe he had been in there before? Sera leaned against him, hoping to ease their entrance.

The animal brought them into the Tavern, a place she didn't visit too often. She looked around awkwardly as several people turned to stare. Though oddly enough, not everyone was surprised. Some just went back to their own business. This confused her a bit. She bit her lip as she tilted her head to the side, thinking. Was it possible that he was well known? Some people seemed to know him, but… how did? Sera knew there was a race that could change into an animal, or was it that it was an animal that could turn into a human? Or was it just an animal with human characteristics?

Sera smiled and shrugged as the Yak lowered his head. She slid down gracefully, landing on her feet. And scratched the top of his head as he rubbed against her again. Then he took a piece of bread and began to leave, without paying. Sera shook her head, then took her bag in front of her and threw money on the counter. “Here, I’ll pay for it!” She said and then turned, watching the large animal leave.

Without thinking she ran past the Yak and slid to a stop right in front of him. “Thank you!” She said loudly and kissed the top of his head, before moving aside. “Thank you.” And with a smile and a wave, she danced back into the Red Diamond Tavern to get something to eat.

Secretly, Sera hoped she would see the bold animal again. And soon.

-Sera- Skill Points: Singing 1 Dance 1 Acrobatics 1 Wilderness Survival 2 Riding 1 Persuasion 1 Lore: Helping an Animal in Need Riding a Yak Notes: (Directed to Sera only, as Krivak has been retired) It was entertaining to read on how an animal and a human interact without being able to speak to each other at all, and I particularly enjoyed the fact that Krivak was never revealed to Sera that he was Kelvic and understood more than a normal beast, but they still managed to work things out. I do believe that you sometimes played over what you have the skills for, specifically when she flipped herself back onto her feet from her back while also singing and when she was able to tell that the exact amount of legs the distant footfalls were being caused by. Other than that it was a very entertaining and heart-warming story of a new friendship, and I look forward to grading more of your threads! Also, this is probably the only time ever that I will be able to award someone a lore of riding a yak, and I want to cherish it.
