Ethan sighed quietly. She wasn't going to make this easy. But he had to keep at it. Once his curiosity was piqued. There was no going back. He had to know everything about her. But she had the right of it. Ethan was tired as well. Too much emotion in too little time. She didn't have to say anything. The tired look in her eye said enough. "I'll always be around if you ever decide to take my offer." Ethan was never much on goodbyes and it seemed she wasn't either. So he undressed when she was out of sight and took to the skies. He needed to hunt. A good femur would set him right. He saw a carcass the day before, a few miles south. It should be picked clean by now. This forest wasn't much in the way of rock beds but he wouldn't mind searching. Tilting his long black wings, he headed south for the chance of a little comfort food. The End
