APPEARANCE & PERSONALITY
She bears the gentle features, gills, translucent white scales, and pale hair that are expected of a traditional Konti, yet even so, there are distinctive attributes to her that set her apart. Despite being from an empathic race of seers, her glacier-blue eyes are completely devoid of emotion and are constantly expressionless, leaving the observer much to debate on when attempting to read her. Her thin, light brown eyebrows are the only features that could ever betray her in the event that she feels frustrated, surprised, or upset. Her long, slender body appears as fragile and frail as a hollow porcelain doll, though under close inspection it is clear that she has quite the amount of strength and muscles due to her Suvai training. Her incredibly wavy hair, bearing the signature white gold sheen of the Konti, is kept only a little past the shoulders, and is occasionally propped up in a simple braid. Her face is shaped a little more on the masculine side, as her jaw and chin are more prominent and sharp than the usual softened appearance of a Konti, or most other women, for that matter. And thus she usually carries an aloof, intimidating, and serious aura, yet in the end she is just as friendly and approachable as the next Konti. She often goes out wearing her favorite blue dress and her leather boots, completing the ensemble with her underbust corset. She never leaves her lodging without wearing her golden pendant, and often times has a backpack strapped around her shoulders.
Erudite is a little more of everything that is commonly attributed to the personality of a Konti. She is terribly inquisitive and hungry for knowledge, to the point that her questions appear to never end, as she is keen on not simply knowing, but also understanding. She is a little more talkative and outspoken, often appearing brave and confident whenever she speaks her mind or simply engages in conversation. Though her voice remains to be almost as sweet and fluid as the chirp of a songbird, it is rather low, and contains an essence of determination and power. As kind as she is loving, she makes friends rather easily after they had put aside the frigid atmosphere that she often tends to emanate. She treats her friends and companions as if they were family, and assists and cares them as often as she can. Her traveling often causes her to be away from the little family she has left in the White Isle, and thus friends are often appreciated and valued. Though, despite this, Erudite also has a rather competitive and overachieving side of her, one that leads her to become distant and more guarded than she usually already is. She thrives and aims for success and improvement, and while that often never gets in the way of her thoughts, feelings, and actions, it does a lot of damage to her and others whenever it does. She is very privy of her history and her studies, and never lets her guard down no matter what the situation. Due to her Konti gift, she often appears very calm and relaxed, until she senses that something is afoot. |
LIKES, DISLIKES, & ETHICS
Out of all the things that the Konti love, medicine is what Erudite enjoys the most. She is not fond of playing music, although listening to some is very pleasant, and neither is she much of a fan of poetry. She enjoys reading, writing, and drawing, though she is not too interested in producing her own artworks. She is content with the notes and sketches that she jots down onto her journals. While most Konti dislike violence and confrontation, she is complacent with both, and will only be deeply affected of jostled if such events occur for long periods of time. Peace, although pleasant, is not inherently possible to achieve in her eyes, as something will always disrupt the calm. As she is fond of conversations, she enjoys talking to others, often advising them, trading stories with them, or discussing intellectual concepts with them. Not only is she very much into medicine, herbalism, and wielding the Suvai, but she is also an avid traveller.
Erudite greatly honors her religion, her family and friends, and the welfare of herself and others the most out of everything. Occasionally her unwavering hunger for learning and improvement becomes her main priority, but she will drop everything in the event that someone is in danger or is in dire need of assistance, and when her religion or beliefs are being challenged. While she often respects and understands the beliefs and opinions of others, she stands firm with her own and does not falter unless the other person’s argument is sensible and true. Knowledge, after all, was meant to be delved upon and understood no matter what. She values open-mindedness, curiosity, strength and boldness, and the mere thought of stepping down or back out from even the simplest tasks due to doubt or anxiety infuriates her. While her morals dictate that violence is not the answer to any problem or situation, it is a given that it is a highly possible alternative or last resort. |
HISTORY
Erudite was born into a relatively large family of six, consisting of herself, her mother, her grandmother, and her three sisters. Due to being the youngest and having the largest age gap between herself and her sisters, she spent most of her time around other adults, whom she found to be better companions rather than those her age. Most of her fellow Konti viewed her as a little bit strange and eccentric, as she spoke, thought, and inquired of concepts that were well beyond her years. While her sisters preferred to sing, draw, and play, she preferred to write and study. They preferred music and art over the things she loved, which were studying medicine, herbalism, and training in the art of wielding the Suvai. They were more feminine than her, older than her, and fit in with the other Konti while she stood out like a sore thumb. This phase in her life caused her to become anxious and insecure, though later on it led to her into becoming a strong, independent young woman.
As her mother, grandmother, and relatives before her were all avid and seasoned travellers, her sisters begged to embark on escapades of their own. They wanted to seek their fortune, their calling, and their mates, while Erudite simply wanted to travel to Zeltiva in order to study more extensively. And as her sisters were old enough to leave the isle, they did, and though at first they kept in touch, they never did so consistently. Erudite focused on her studies and the strengthening of both her body and her mind, a part of her wondering how her siblings would fare when they hardly did such. And alas, news came that one of them had been enslaved, and another had died from constant pressure and stress. It did not come as much of a surprise to Erudite, though it saddened her deeply. Her third sister remained unknown to them, and she and the rest of her family members simply assumed that she was too far away to keep in touch. Unfortunately, she and her mother and grandmother were marked by Rak’keli, not Avalis, and so they could not discover the fates of their family members. Erudite simply cultivated her relationship with her mother and her grandmother even more as she grew up, burying herself in knowledge and strengthening herself for the time when she would be leaving the isle as well.
And when the time came that she was old enough, she was sure that she was ready. Her grandmother let her have her inheritance of coin, and her mother gifted her with the family’s pendant; a stylized golden locket that had been passed down from generation to generation to the daughter that they were certain would live long and prosper. And at that moment, Erudite realized why her mother had no siblings, or seemed to have none – they all underestimated the harshness of the outside world, and were thus devoured whole by it. Her mother, who was resourceful enough to plan and prepare ahead, was the only known survivor between she and her sisters. Briefly overcome with pressure, her determined, overachieving nature only doubled from the discovery. And so she packed up her things, equipped her Suvai, and left with the promise of keeping in touch at least thrice a season. She made her way to Zeltiva and enrolled into the academy, driven to succeed. |

ABILITIES, GIFT & GNOSIS
Erudite is blessed by Rak’keli, the Goddess of Healing and Health, and thus has a twisted swirling sigil in shimmering opal permanently etched upon the palm of her left hand. The mark allows her to close shallow wounds, cure headaches and common colds, ease strained or tense muscles, and take care of minor rashes, allergies, and depression. She can also deal with inflicted snake bites, insect bites, skin irritation due to plants, as well as minor bruising. While she cannot completely heal or close deeper wounds, she can purify and sanitize them with her touch.
As do all Konti, Erudite was born with a gift that allows her to see or sense what others usually do not or would not. She was blessed with the gift of Mischief Sensing, which allows her to sense if an individual, or group of individuals, plans to inflict harm on her either physically or emotionally. However, she will only be aware of their presence and their intent if they are in her line of sight or within the immediate vicinity. The gift helps her anticipate and prepare herself whenever a threat is nearby, though it does not, under any circumstances, assure her safety. |
INVENTORY
Most of Erudite's belongings are contained in a traveler's chest; a three foot by two foot wooden chest, made with large, durable wheels and a sturdy leather leash, designed for traveling uses. The chest's latch is made of brass, and its edges are decorated with wrinkled, worn leather. The chest usually holds Erudite's extra clothing, one of her backpacks, some equipment and tool kits, as well as a few other occasional excess items. When she isn't wheeling it around in her travels, the chest is either left in the room she is staying in at an inn, or in her student's quarters at the academy.

The sides of the locket is decorated with stylized twisted swirls that vaguely resemble the gnosis mark of Rak’keli, while the center of both sides bears a distinctive household symbol that belongs to Erudite’s family. In pristine condition, the locket is handed down from generation to generation to the daughter who is most likely to succeed, a tradition that began with the very first members of Erudite’s family, who were marked by Avalis and were skilled fortune tellers. The locket is currently empty. | Average Dress | Purchased | A simple sleeveless dress in a remarkable shade of ivory, with wide shoulder straps and a square bustline. The torso area is formfitting up until the wide, black silk sash that wraps around the dress just below the waistline. The lower portion of the dress flows freely, its hemline ending just above the knee. In pristine condition, it is only worn during days or nights out in the city. | Leather Shoes | Purchased | A pair of beige-colored leather shoes reaching just below the ankles, with rounded tips and dark soles. Secured in place with cream-colored straps. First Backpack
A relatively worn, wine-colored woven backpack, with its opening covered by a large flap of cloth that is secured to the front with thick string. Item | Obtained | Description | Brush | Starting Package | A simple brush made out of thick, smoothed wood and beige-colored boar bristles. Although gentle on the head and healthy for the hair, applying too much pressure during use may cause one's scalp to ache. | Soap | Starting Package | A bar of soap with a rich, pearl sheen and a sweet, flowery smell. The scent is overpowering and painful for the nostrils when placed too close to one's nose. | Balanced Rations | Starting Package | A week's worth of well-rationed food. Each meal set contains all the necessary nutrients one needs once a day. | Eating Knife | Starting Package | An ordinary little knife with a dark leather handle and a glimmering blade. The outer area is secured with animal skin and leather, with string crisscrossing along one side up to its nozzle, which is covered firmly with cork. Very watertight. |
Second Backpack

Equipment
Item | Obtained | Description | Suvai | Starting Package | A unique and rather peculiar-looking three-pronged weapon that is almost exclusively used by the Konti. Carved from the spiral horns of a certain white ocean while, the three sharp blades of a Suvai spiral around each other from the end of the handle towards their tips, whilst pointing forward. When effectively pierced or cut by a Suvai, the victim will feel incredibly weakened, implying that the horn it is made from may be poisonous to non-Konti. Comes with its own unique leather holster. | Herbalist Tool Kit | Purchased | A tool kit comprised of the tools and equipment needed to cultivate, maintain, and harvest various plants and herbs.
