Noravennsalar
Physical Description Name: Noravennsalar Race: Dhani Age: 105 Birthday: 41st Day, Fall of 409 Character Ethics Salar, or "Sal" when he is disguised as a human, does not often go out of his way to help others. This is due to his personal belief that strength determines a person's worth. If the person, human or otherwise, is incapable of helping themselves first, without any outsider intervention, it proves that they were weak and not worth the effort. However, various circumstances can dictate him to act such as injury, sickness or any condition where one is not at their fullest capability. He, himself, admits that he cannot predict what situations he will decide to intervene in. Character History Salar has spent all of his life from birth to present in Zinrah. When he was born, he was the second of five and the most dominant male. He only deferred to his elder sister as a child. She would be the group leader and he was her enforcer, a relationship that both mother and sister approved of. His younger siblings simply accepted this arrangement, especially when it became clear that Sal was going to be larger and stronger than any of them. He has a voracious appetite and likes to eat often. For this reason, he likes to go hunting. To sneak past the Myrians, he has learnt the basics of stealth and camouflage so that he can get to his dinner without becoming a wall decoration. So far, he has been successful. Appearance Snake - In his snake form, Sal is 46 feet (14m) long with reddish-orange body crossed with black stripes. This makes him one of the larger Constrictors, despite his youth. He has a yellowish-white belly. Sal is a solid mass of muscle in snake form. Dhani - In his Dhani form, Sal 23 feet (7.3m) long from snout to tail. Like his snake form, his body is a reddish-orange with black stripes and yellowish-white underbelly. Human - In his human form, Sal is 6'4" (1.93m) tall and light skinned. He appears as a muscular and stocky young man, with short black hair. He weighs about 190 lbs. In all three forms, he has bright green irises. Personality Salar, or "Sal" when he is disguised as a human, is a male Constrictor who is extremely boisterous to the point of arrogance. He believes that if he does not make himself known, his achievements will go unnoticed. Despite his attitude, Sal is still fairly congenial most of the time. Unlike many other Dhani, Sal is not particularly interested in manipulation or torture. That is merely the prolonging of a defeated foe. He does take sadistic pleasure from displaying his physical superiority to a helpless opponent or prey. This is especially heightened whenever he hides his true strength in human form, only to surprise the unsuspecting bandit. Salar gets a rush from watching their surprise and then their despair. He is not particularly interested with intellectual engagements. It is not his forte and he is willing to admit it. He was built with raw, physical strength not a strong brain. Sal will respect those who prove their intellect to be a substitute for physical strength, believing it is a sign of personal fortitude. Similarly, if someone stood their ground on a moral issue, he would have some respect for them. Whether he would even consider empathizing with them is a wholly different matter. These more subdued forms of courage and personal strength represent a grey area which Sal believes to be unnecessary in Falyndar. Cunning and guile is necessary for a hunter and warrior but not philosophy. In combat with the Myrians, Sal often starts fighting with a weapon to give his opponent the impression that he is relying on it. It is his simple attempt at deception. Due to his large size and strength, Sal enjoys swings large polearms as if they were toys. He has proven adept at making swift attacks with this style. He considers "good practice with human toys." If Sal is unarmed, he will immediately pounce on his opponent and wrestle them violently until victorious. His weight and serpentine body make wrestling and pinning easier. Sal enjoys wrestling because it is a physical test of strength as well as a warrior's prowess. Furthermore, it is a test of one versus one and no excuses can be made or blame placed on others for a mistake.
