[Flashback] A Taste of that Summer Sun (Hadrian)

With a thought, Faraluun brought a slight smile to his features and nodded graciously at the title bestowed upon him. "I've a keen interest on matters of summoning, and I'm willing to assist professors, or even teach students how to defend themselves to help pay for these classes. As for my new associates desires, they are known, and the interest is welcomed as the terms have been set" He spoke respectfully to the Registrar, knowing very well that his chance at learning at this institute hinged very much on the fact of this man's approval.

Taking a deep breath, he prepared himself for the man's answer.

"Ah," he said, not even having to look down at the ledger. "Summer term has begun, but Professor Stonemiller is teaching a course on glyphing, which supports summoning as I understand it. If you can get young Master Hadrian here to tutor you, I would imagine you could catch up to the class."

"I would tutor you," Hadrian offered quickly. "And the class he's teaching this term, there are open assignments that you can do where the student gets to direct his or her own studies. That would be where we could work your glyphing toward summoning."

"There you have it," said Sanderson. "As for the martial arts, those aren't taught in classes, but you might assist Ser Denys of Syliras. He is offering extracurricular, intramural sort of sessions. The pay would be commensurate with your skills, I'm sure."

"You have my gratitude Registrar Sanderson, I look forward to studying in this fine institution" Faraluun said, his voice firm and polite. "and you have my gratitude as well Master Hadrian"

Pausing to take in both Hadrian and the Registrar underneath his cool teal gaze, he put on an easy smile. "Now when do we start?"
