"Yes, Avalis is the Goddess of Visons and Divination. The Konti are her children. Most of us are born with her mark," she explained with a smile. She felt rather comfortable with him, especially as he had just told her that she was welcome to look in his chavi whenever she felt like it. That was not a common thing a stranger would tell her, as most thought that someone peering into their past without permission was a trespass on boundaries. The Konti liked listening to him. He seemed to know what he was saying, and so she stared right at him, finding his every word interesting. "A season, huh...?" she repeated, barely a whisper. "I would like that... and I probably will. Listening to you speak about your classes just makes me want to do so even more." Nira'lia found herself daydreaming for a second. She imagined in herself in one of the classrooms, taking down notes, and maybe even seated right beside her new friend, Elem! Maybe she could even meet other people -- the thought made her smile in excitement. The Konti chuckled to herself as she stared at the sky. "Yes, I might do that... don't worry, we Konti live a long life. Maybe it'll take me a decade more, but I know I'll be able to enrol someday. However, you most likely would be a doctor by then," she looked at him and grinned, her eyes twinkling. Standing up, she straightened out her dress before her. "Well, Mister Elem Bree, I should be going now. I've taken so much of your time already... please, have a safe trip home," she said with a smile. Carefully, she put a hand on his shoulder and squeezed it gently as a way of saying farewell. Then she nodded and turned around, practically hopping as she continued to daydream. On her entire way home, she found herself thinking about their conversation. It was true that she had so many years before her, and even if she couldn't enrol right away, she surely would find the right time to do so. |
