Lewis? He wasn't going to actually tell her his name? Do all kelvics do this? she wondered. And when he explained what he learned - though Syrah meant it as rhetorical - she felt like he was 3 years old! He said what he knew with pride, when he didn't know anything at all!

She was annoyed, and she didn't want him here, and she wanted her money back! But if she went and told that shopkeeper he sold her a person he would probably demand more coin as he sold her a slave of sorts. She didn't want this man to 'stick around' or 'help out' and he still seemed to think she had a problem with bed sheets.

She tried to explain: "I know what bed sheets are, I know they are not clothes, but I used it like it was a towel, something to cover you up, because I don't want a naked man in my house!" She sighed, hoping he would understand. "And, I don't want to be rude, but I don't like people, I'd rather be alone. Do you understand? I don't think it would be the best idea for you to stay, I don't have enough money to feed you, as well as me."

"I know what bed sheets are, I know they are not clothes, but I used it like it was a towel, something to cover you up, because I don't want a naked man in my house! And, I don't want to be rude, but I don't like people, I'd rather be alone. Do you understand? I don't think it would be the best idea for you to stay, I don't have enough money to feed you, as well as me."

Lewis started slowly talking, trying to understand this thing with her and bed sheets.

"But bed sheets aren't towels."

She sighed loudly so he decided to move on in topics of conversation.

"And as far as not liking people, that's just because you haven't met the right peoples. There's always people that other people like. Maybe I'm people that you like!"

Lewis felt pleased with this idea, and thought this worked since he really just wanted to help someone out. He really had nothing else to do, and he ought to do something helpful. And if he stayed with her, he even had a way to solve the food problem.

"And as far as food, I'll get you some. Besides, I have some stored up for when I'm not mice hunting. I can even get you some if you don't like mice and meat. I just give those people the shiny round things, and they give me food. Well, as a human. For some reason they don't sell to ferrets, so I just get the food and keep the shiny thing."

He kinda hoped she wouldn't be like the other people who had problems with him keeping food and shiny thing. They just don't seem to get it. But even so, he had lots of shiny things to keep him occupied, and he got more when he went around city and when he did his juggling and acrobatic tricks.

Syrah sighed, he was an uneducated weasel and if he didn't know what she was saying then to hell with it!

"I have enough food for myself, but only for myself. So you should go back to your home, or wherever you live, and do whatever you do. But don't stay here."

She knew this wasn't going to mean a thing to him so she made up an offer to make him leave. "How about this, Lewis, if I need help with something, I will find you and then you can help me. How does that sound?" She smiled knowing she would never go to him for help, she would rather go to the man she sparred with 6 days ago that to him! "And hey, maybe I'll see you around town and say hi." Syrah laughed, she wouldn't go say hi, she would hide.

She got up and walked over the the tall man and put her hand on his back, gently pushing him to the door.

"You can keep the sheet, I will get a new one, and I will see you around then?" She said, while opening the door and pushing him out.

"I have enough food for myself, but only for myself. So you should go back to your home, or wherever you live, and do whatever you do. But don't stay here. How about this, Lewis, if I need help with something, I will find you and then you can help me. How does that sound? And hey, maybe I'll see you around town and say hi. You can keep the sheet, I will get a new one, and I will see you around then?"

Lewis thought this over carefully. She would ask for help when she needed it, should would say hi to him if she saw him, and she will get a new sheet. There we go, he knew there was a problem with this.

"Maybe you should let me get you a new sheet. You seem to have trouble figuring out what bed sheets are. But for the other stuff, that seems OK. I will bring you a new sheet tonight. Bye bye Syrah."

He happily walked out the door as Syrah shut it behind him. After taking one step, he heard the sound of the door locking and smiled happily that she was getting the sleep she needs without any more distractions.

Lewis moved out to the park, still wrapped in only a sheet, until he got to the statue his den was behind. After slipping the silly toga off, he flashed into ferret form, and went into his den, grabbing six round shiny things and pulled them out to the top of his den. He also decided to pull out his shirt and pants, and then flashed back into human form. After pulling the pants and shirt on, he picked up the 6 coins, and put them in his pocket.

He took a moment to consider what to do with the sheet, and got another mischievous grin as he then slipped the toga on the statue that was there. After disposing of that, he went into the market for a moment, and bought a new bed sheet for 4 coins, even the same color as the old one. He then took the bed sheet and the last 2 coins and walked back to Syrah's house. Knowing the door was locked, Lewis set the two coins on top of the bed sheet and then set them down in front of the door and then sat them down before walking off to the park to sleep in his den, inside he's newly purchased fur hat.

As soon as Lewis left her doorstep she quickly shut the door and locked it. She sighed heavily against its frame and, exhausted, went to her bed. She was too tired to acknowledge the fact that she had to blanket, or that she would have to spend even more of her precious Mizas because of the Kelvic. She just wanted to sleep and get this meeting out of her mind. And soon enough she dozed off.

The next day she got up and smiled because the crate across the room was empty and she was the only on in the house. She got dressed and had some breakfast before she left the house to roam the town. but when she opened the door there sat a neatly folded blanket, the same color as her old one, and you could tell this one was new, and two nicely stacked coins. She instantly felt ashamed that she had pushed the ferret out so rudely and he was still kind enough to be this generous.

She smiled as she picked up the gifts and pushed the Mizas in her pocket and paid the bed sheet neatly back on her bed. Then she left the house with a smile on her face, vowing to say thank you, whenever she saw him again.
