What if your PC was your roommate?

Postby Alois on April 21st, 2012, 4:59 am

Hmm... Interesting question. Now is this us sharing a home in modern times, or in the Miz world? I'm going to guess the Miz world.

Vuil - Me and Vuil could never, NEVER, be roommates. We would fight too much, because I can't offer her the attention that she craves, but I'm not bold enough to tell her no. So she'd be so clingy to someone distant, which wouldn't make her happy, and it would annoy me. Also, I wouldn't be able to have any friends over without them having a risk of being mauled by a jealous leopard. Or vise versa, her bringing someone home and me getting mauled and sent to a hospital for speaking to them. Also, since she's a cat, she will have this physical need to hunt, and I am not cleaning up dead animals that she happens to drag in. Yeah, no. It just wouldn't work out... Though, if she was bonded with me, she'd be doing all the housework. That would be nice.

Kilik - Oh Kilik... I would fall so hard for my little Benshira. He's a sweety, who is musically inclined. I would not be able to keep feelings out of it. Which would suck because I'd be too shy to say anything, and he'd be completely oblivious and totally not interested. Also, he'd likely be the starving artist, meaning I pay most of the rent. As long as he's doing the housework, that's fine with me. My, I hate housework. He would be out a lot, probably meet a nice girl who is also musically talented, and I'd die in a bubbling pool of jealousy. All the while, still playing the role of his best friend roomie.

Vulpeculae - I wouldn't allow Vulpe to be my roommate. Sure, he's sparkly and beautiful by day, but come night fall he would become dangerous. The man is a sym at night, and worst of all, he remembers being a harvester. He would be trying to bone all the women he met, even hypnotizing them if he had to. Which I wouldn't allow. So I'd be blocking him from doing his job, making me a liability, or painting a huge target on myself. Him being my roommate, I would likely end up part of the harvest.

Alois - This guy is probably the only one I could live with peacefully. After the initial awkwardness of trying to figure out his gender. We'd be friends, I suppose. Though i wouldn't be able to keep a secret from him, which is annoying. He'd try to know everything about me, just because his curiosity demands it. And any friend's or family I brought over would be subjected to the same. No privacy with this one, but at least he's mentally stable and not trying to kill me. Also, it would be very clear that romance is not an option. He has no inkling of physical attraction to others, and would make this very clear. Though, if he got drunk enough, maybe something would happen. We'd both freak out about it. Awkwardness abounds with this boy.

~Edit~

All four of these and me would make for one very crowded, one very chaotic house. Vulpe would bring home random girls all. the. time. Which in turn annoy Vuil, who would likely kill them or maim them before Vulpe could have his way with him. Those two would be fighting constantly. Unless Vulpe used Vuil. Still, she would not be happy with the other women, and there would be angry fighting. Me being a delegator of sorts, would throw myself right into the middle of it to try and keep peace. And Alois? He'd be sitting in the corner, pretending to read a book while secretly watching us fight and making notes about who had what viewpoint.

What if your PC was your roommate?

Postby Chamaeleon on April 21st, 2012, 5:44 am

I'm gonna make the assumption my friend up there did. :P

Chamaeleon- Frankly, despite Chamaeleon's girl-next-door routine, I would never be able to settle with having her as a friend. Like, I might be nice to her and all that, but I would honestly hate her personality. She is clingy and obsessive and would really annoy me. I'd probably talk behind her back about her, not gonna deny it, and she would bring home friends and more and generally crowd the house.

Other than that, her loyalty would probably soften my initial dislike of her, and perhaps in a few months to a year, we would be the best of friends.

Yaotl- Yaotl would be the bane of my existence. She would be a bitch to me and my friends and I would go out of my way to avoid her. She would be mean to my dog and cat and leave a mess for me to clean every day. She would be nosy and pry into my business and just in general ruin my day every day. Need I go on?

Leaf- He's the noble sort. He would be a patient friend and a good, strong support. I wouldn't have trouble with him but to talk over who paid rent and the bills. I may be physically attracted to him, but his aloof nature would kind of make me very shy. He's the kind of guy that wouldn't bring home random girls but would try and get to know someone really personally and make sure they could be integrated successfully into his life. We would be good friends.

All three of these guys and me together and we would have a.big fight. Leaf and Yaotl would be at odds immediately, and Cham would sweetly do what she thought best for our friendships, and I would just flail and walk off, maybe keep in touch.

Anyway, that's what I think.

What if your PC was your roommate?

Postby Caelum on April 21st, 2012, 6:49 am

Caelum would make a fantastic room mate for me. He would take care of all my ailments and be really, really tidy and quiet. The doom and gloom wouldn't bother me because I would be doing stupid things like breaking out into spontaneous dance while doing dishes.

Dor would make an awful room mate. No way. No how. She would make a mess of everything and annoy me to death.

Izdihar I would room with for an opportunity to mooch off all her family's money, but she'd probably try to enslave me. Hrm. Fair trade?

And Toli would be, by far, the very best room mate. He would be so bloody grateful not to be in Hai he would constantly be on his best behavior. Mm. Until he snapped and slit my throat. Okay, maybe not.

What if your PC was your roommate?

Postby Andalusia on April 21st, 2012, 8:39 am

Andalusia - Her stuttering and crippling shyness will probably amuse and irritate me at the same time. I wouldn't be too fond of that side of her, but I think we'd make very good friends. By the time she's comfortable with me, she wouldn't be stuttering and worrying about herself, so in time, that side of won't bother me any longer. She's a rather plain woman, so I suppose we'd just be talking about random things and current events, though there's nothing wrong with that. She'd probably keep to herself and rarely be out or have friends over, but that doesn't come as a problem to me at all.

Auguste - Auguste and I would probably hit it off the second we meet. He's a brilliant conversationalist and a charmer, and would probably sweep me off my feet after the first day. He's got a horribly bad side of him, a temper that explodes into a sort of mania that I'm not sure I could survive without crying. But I'm a sucker, I'd forgive him time and time again, because his friendship would be too valuable to me. He's a very interesting individual, and would probably never run out of stories to tell, especially stories about the women that he "meets." He'd be like a brother to me, a best friend, maybe even more than that.

Erudite - While Andalusia's insecurity comes from my own nature of being anxious and paranoid, Erudite has all the rest of me. She's basically me, without the social anxiety that I'd injected into Andalusia. She's knowledge-hungry, no-nonsense, and incredibly confident. She comes off as aloof and unfriendly, and that'll make me avoid her and dislike her for a while, but once she speaks, it's clear that she's approachable and kind. We'd hit it off after a week and become best friends, sisters even, as we'd practically be twins. She'd bring out the best in me and make me feel secure, and I'd loosen her up with humor and lighter topics, as compared to the heavy, deep conversations we'd probably be having most of the time. She'd be the best roommate of all.

This was fun! :D

What if your PC was your roommate?

Postby Taln on April 21st, 2012, 4:57 pm

Hmmm if Taln were my roommate I'd be alternately happy/pissed off. He's a nice, neat obedient person which would make me happy. However his low self-esteem would work my last nerve and I'd kill the big stupid Dek before a week of shared company! Besides, he'd be too poor to pay his half of the rent! :p

Now Bolden on the other hand, I could and have lived with--he's a model of one of my brothers so I know exactly how to handle him. He's a hella bad slob in the house, but he's great with horses so I'd have him do all my stable chores. I'd cook for his ungrateful, sleeping around, almost illiterate self in exchange for his training my animals. He's someone I could totally boss around and have done so in the past.

What if your PC was your roommate?

Postby Casper on April 22nd, 2012, 6:16 pm

Hrm. I think that for the first few months, we'd pretty much just stay out of each other's way and not really talk to each other. I wouldn't bother him because I don't want to piss off a guy who's like twice as big as me and possibly a little disturbed in the head, and he wouldn't bother me simply because I'd just be in my room all the time and I'd cook enough for two. Maybe after a few months he'd be used to having me around especially since I'd always be home and stuff, and would like someone to rant to about whatever happened in his day. And maybe after a few sessions of bonding/ranting on his part, I'd invite him for a good smoke or drinks, and we would be sort of friends. Definitely not a relationship with much talking, but we're both pretty introverted so that's cool.

What if your PC was your roommate?

Postby Veltha Draculin on April 22nd, 2012, 6:52 pm

What would Veltha do? Well, me and her are COMPLETELY different, so I think we would stay out of each other's way. We would talk once in a while, and eventually build up a good friendship.

What if your PC was your roommate?

Postby Navisya Curare on April 24th, 2012, 6:58 pm

Surprisingly, I think Navisya and I would get along perfectly. She is neat and clean, and would never let the place look out of order. She would be passive aggressive about getting me to clean up stuff too, but she would also be aggressive-aggressive, and would really twist my arm into helping her. While it would be really annoying at the time, I think I would feel good about it afterward that, yeah, I really should be helping her. And she'd know that, too. When we were done cleaning, we'd probably sit around and play videogames or talk about our opinions of everything.

I wouldn't say we'd agree on everything, but we'd offer up points of view that makes the other think about things a little differently. It would be great conversation.

Navi also has a great sense of humor, and can take jokes as well as make them. She also has a huge DOG, and I would freaking love him, even if he would constantly chew up my stuff. Occasionally, she would get irritable and want her own space, the same way I do. The difference is, when I was being a recluse, she would pressure me into doing something with her. When she needed her privacy, I would keep my distance as much as possible (she scary!).

We'd probably become good friends, especially considering we both hold a high standard for what qualifies as a "friend" in our dictionary. This also means we'd probably alienate other people, which could be unhealthy, but whatever.
Words have no power to impress the mind without the exquisite horror of their reality.
