Her appearance is commonplace among Svefra, but outside of them, her beauty can easily be seen as exotic. Her skin is a light copper, tanned from days spent in the sun, and as soft as sin, though several pale scars litter her body. Her eyes are the typical blue of the Svefra people, though hers stand out somewhat. The colour of the deeper, unexplored ocean waters, or the surface of the ocean during a storm, they’re a dark, vivid blue with a faint teal tint, and it’s easy to lose yourself in their depths. It's not uncommon for her to accent the dark colour of her eyes by rimming them in black-in fact, she often has dark smudges of kohl beneah her eyes. Aery’s hair is her favourite feature, her pride and joy. Usually kept several inches past her shoulders, her hair is tousled and messy, more curly than straight, and is soft and silky despite the spray of ocean water and sometimes rough sea winds. A stunning sable, her hair is a sandy blonde with streaks and highlights of darker brown, and darkens when it becomes wet. Often tied back or away from her face messily, it’s common for her to braid it with feathers, coloured string and beads. Relatively tall, at 5’7’’, Aeryna has a supple,athletic body, lean and well toned from work, at 120 pounds, with a full bust and long legs that many women would kill for. She has a pretty face, with high cheekbones and a defined jawline, a straight nose and full lips. Aeryna has several tattoos, to the point where, on occasion, she's been mistaken as a Drykas woman. A black tattoo adorns her right shoulder and upper arm, as well as a small tatto on her right hand, while somewhat sharp swirls decorate her lower back and curve around her hips and sides to finish at the top of her thighs. On her right calf, she has a swirling flower-like design, as well as swirls on her right foot, and on her left leg, a curving vine starts on her foot and swirls up her calf. She also has two paw prints on her back, on the left side near her shoulder blade, to represent her Tavan, Muir. Often, Aery wears a white peasant blouse with the sleeves pulled down to leave her shoulders bare, and a brown leather corset over it. Along with this, she wears tan, tight-fitting breeches and knee-high brown leather boots, and colourful purple, blue and orange scarves often decorate her hips in layers, along with a brown leather belt, and she’s never seen without her cutlass at her side. However, when at sea, the young pirate usually keeps her breeches rolled up to her knees, and forgoes her boots, preferring to go barefoot. Seven plain copper bangles, half an inch wide each, almost always adorn the young woman's wrists, the numbers on each wrist always changing, and she has a set of large, thin copper hoop earrings that she always wears. Character Concept Aeryna is a rather laidback individual. She has no real sense of responsibility, nor any desire for it, and enjoys being as free as the wind that guides her. Mischievous and curious, she has an uncanny knack for finding and stirring up trouble, though she doesn’t usually intend any real harm. Adventurous, the prospect of danger excites the young woman, and she's always trying new things and eager to explore new places. She can be rather nosy in asking questions, and she’s used to being told to shut up and to mind her own business. Aeryn has little to no regard for any authority (other than the word of Lias, whether from her pod or not) and prefers to do what she wants, when she wants. Reckless and good-natured, Aery enjoys being teased as much as she likes to tease others, and has a good sense of humour, enjoying a well-timed comment or a particularly humorous joke. She’s outgoing, fun and playful, and quick to laugh or flash a smile, and enjoys a good mug of ale as much as the next man. At first, many may find her rather simpleminded, but there’s no mistaking the young woman’s intelligence once you get to know her. She’s quick-witted and sly, and knows how to manipulate words to get what she wants. With a stubborn, proud streak to her, Aeryna hates being ordered around and rarely backs down from a challenge, and she’s tough as nails. Despite her fun loving nature, she has a rather quick temper, and she rarely says something she doesn’t mean, and has a bad habit of getting into brawls at taverns. A bit too confident, her cockiness has been her downfall more than once. To Aeryna, family and friends are sacred, and she’ll rarely have anything but insults for someone who has betrayed their own blood. As for belongings, she takes what she needs, preferring to steal rather than to pay. It’s rare for Aery to go up against someone much weaker than her in battle, as she sees no real point to that, as her foe’s defeat is inevitable. There’s nothing better than being at sea or in the water for the young pirate. She loves swimming, especially with sea animals and her Tavan, Muir, and could be content spending hours at a time in the water. She enjoys drinking and getting into the occasional brawl, and loves a good joke. With an excellent sense of adventure, the young pirate adores trying new things and exploring. Aery absolutely hates cold weather. She’s not one for snow and ice, and she’s never been to Taldera, nor does she plan on it. She dislikes nighttime for the most part, unless at a tavern, finding it eerily quiet, much too dark and much too cold. Aeryna also dislikes those without a sense of adventure, or a willingness to explore or try something new.

History Aery was born to the Seaworth pod, a relatively small pod. Her mother was Lishara Seaworth, and her father Trakin Seaworth. Growing up, Aeryna was a curious soul, and spent more time with her father than she did her mother, eager to learn his swimming, sailing and fighting techniques, as he was more rough and, in Aeryna's eyes, experienced than her mother. As well as often being around her father, Aery often spent time with the Lia of her pod asking questions about the Svefra, their history, and why they lived on the sea. Not only did she ask about the Svefra, but about Laviku, the ocean itself, and the animals in it that the Svefra were so intimate with. When Aeryna was eleven years of age, the Seaworth pod was devastated by a storm. Her father was one of the many that perished in the storm, leaving Aeryna alone and hurt. Coincidentally, it was the storm that brought Muir to Aery. Injured from the storm, she took him in to nurse him back to health. Gradually, she began to come out of her shell once more, coming back to life, with the help of the playful sea otter she named Muir, and began to grow closer to her mother. For the next five years, Aery took over her father's place in the pod, doing everything he'd showed her to help her family as much as she could, always under the watchful eye of her Lia and her mother. Whenever they stopped at cities near the sea, Aeryna would be the first off of the ship, eager to explore the new city and to discover it's secrets. Gradually, she began to become more and more curious of the world outside of the ocean. When she was sixteen, Aeryna finally acted on her passionate curiosity of the rest of the land. Despite how the others protested, Aery decided to leave her pod, and eventually, her Lia gave her permission to go and explore on her own, knowing full well from experience how curious and stubborn the girl was, and finding that giving her time to explore on her own would benefit her. Despite being on her own for the moment, Aeryna is still part of her pod, and will one day rejoin them, a moment she eagerly awaits despite how interested she is in the rest of the world around her.

Tavan A young male sea otter named Muir is Aeryna’s Tavan, and the two are rarely seen apart. Sleek but well-muscled, the young otter is about 4.5 feet in length, and weighs 85 pounds. His fur is a pale shade of brown, darkening in water, with his underside and face being more of a cream and pale tan. His small eyes are bright with intelligence and curiosity, and a dark, liquid brown.
