Lhavit CS Template Physical Description Name: Aless Race: Human, Mixed (Inarta) Age: 18 Birthday: Winter 49 Physical Appearance Like most Inarta, Aless is not tall. She stands just around 5'1", and has a slender build. Her eyes are a bright green. Because she is not pure-blooded inarta, her hair is not the typical Inarta red, but is instead a deep black color, although her heritage still shows in the red highlights that seem to run through it. She has cut it short since leaving the Wind Reaches, and it now falls just to her neck. Aless does not dress like a typical Inarta, and has taken to wearing the clothing of Lhavit since entering the city. However, she still wears a simple Sontav on her arm in order to keep a bird of prey. Personality and Traits At her base, Aless is hotheaded, determined, and unafraid to get into a fight. She can be fiercely loyal, but only to people and causes that she feels deserve her loyalty. Aless is stubborn, and does not easily change her mind once she's made a decision. She tries to see everything she does through to the end. She's a free spirit, and will make her own decisions regardless of the laws of the place she is staying in. That isn't to say she won't follow the rules--she will obey the law to a certain extent, but once it stops making sense to her, she has no qualms about subverting it. She abides by her own personal code of ethics, and any law that goes against it seems to have been made to be broken in her own mind. Or at least, that's how she was. After the death of her friends and traveling companions in their ill-fated run from Wind Reach, she's become withdrawn, quiet, and uncharacteristically unsure of herself. Suddenly everything she knew about herself, everything she was confident in, had come crashing down with disastrous consequences. This new Aless hasn't lost her spark, but it's hidden deep down at the moment, and it's going to be tough to bring herself back to who she was again. As she puts herself back together, there's no telling who she could become. Likes and Dislikes Will be added as they are established Character History Aless was born in Wind Reach, the child of an Inarta Chiet and a passing traveler, and carried the stigma of not being pure Inarta her whole life. Her mother died in an accident shortly after Aless became Yasi, leaving her with a talon sword and no real place to call home. Aless managed to establish herself as a Chiet when she turned fifteen, but the more days passed, the more unhappy she became with the Inarta caste system, with the rules against leaving, and with the society in general. She wanted to leave. She managed to talk a few of her friends who had been her friends since her Yasi days into joining her. It would be great, she said. They would travel the lands, make their own rules, and answer to nobody. Aless talked it up so much that her friends eventually got excited about the prospect, and in Fall 511AV, they set off, with Aless leading them. That was a little less than half a year ago. When they left, there were five of them. They lost one on the way to Alvadas. The remaining four managed to winter it out in Alvadas, but the city's illusions became too much for them, and they agreed to leave as soon as the winter weather let up. They left in late winter, heading, without knowing it, on the road towards Lhavit. It was on the road that they lost another traveling companion. An argument broke out between the three that remained, with one of them wanting to go back to Wind Reach. Aless managed to convince him to stay, telling him that they couldn't be too far from civilization. They were almost upon Lhavit when the Djed Storm hit. Aless doesn't remember much of that night, just bits and pieces. She remembers rain, and a mad dash towards shelter. She remembers a cave and a battle, and she remembers blood. She remembers losing her small hawk, the bird's claws digging into her skin as she tried to calm it but eventually lost her grip. Everyone died that night, everyone but Aless. It was a cruel twist of fate, she decided, that the leader, the person who had convinced them to leave Wind Reach in the first place, was the only one that survived. Ironically, it was the storm that led her to Lhavit in the first place, the rain and fierce weather making the glowing city glow even brighter in the night. The next day, she made her way towards the mysterious glow, entering the city.
