Far below the water's surface is the living coralline city of the Charodae, Charbosi. Inaccessible to those who cannot breathe underwater, Charbosi is a city of culture and peace. [Lore]

38rd Day of Spring, 512AV
The new day was still calming from the storm that had torn its way above Charbosi. The storms were just one of the few reasons Rey wished to never be near; they were terrifying while under the deep sea, she couldn't even fathom what they would be like above her home. The only good thing to Rey about these storms is that they often times brought brand new treasures scattered all around the ground. With her home so far away from the large collection of charoda's homes, Rey didn't even bother to dress herself as she packed her bag with her few lite items. The bag found its place on Rey's back as she floated toward the roof of her home which was her only way in and out. Her dark body passed out the opening easily and she began to swim out to the open ocean floor.
Rey's eyes flicked all around, searching the ground for anything that seemed beautiful to her. Only out for a short while, she already managed to find several items that were glowing from the sunlight that managed to flicker down to the ground. The first item she managed to find was a large piece of cloth that looked green with several stones stuck in its threads. It reminded her of her clothing as far of the color, but this was a much larger cloth and looked like it was a clothing piece made for a giant. Not liking how the item seemed so difficult to move in the water, Rey left it where she found it and moved on to the next. The next was a simple silver canister-looking item that she couldn't figure out how to open. Rey figured she could play with the canister later as she kept swimming on to the next few treasures-to-be.
Unlike most of the storms that pass Charbosi by, not many treasures were actually found on the ground, none that she found interesting anyway. Most of the items were heavy cloths that merely dragged the water making them completely unattractive to her. She did manage to find a fork, a canister, and a square piece that looks like a frame for a small window, but she didn't know of any creature that could be so small. She kept it anyways, maybe it would make a good decorative item for either her clothing or her home. Packing away the three small items, Rey grabbed the green cloth that was still floating about where she had left it. With as much strength as she could, Rey dragged the cloth to her home and was excited about the new possibilities of clothing or home decoration that she had found. |

Excitement over took Rey as she swam to the top of her home to drop her bag in first. Then she looked back at the cloth still in her hand and started trying to ball it up. Getting it as tight as possible, Rey then tossed the cloth down the opening and swam in after it. Her home still bear, but a couple of windows and items made from coral, it was home, though still in need of work. The charoda picked up the cloth and brought it too her table, first running her hand across it to make sure than it stayed as smooth as she wanted it. Proud that she managed to keep it smooth, Rey tossed the cloth over the table, it was torn in so many places, but could still make some useful items. Only then did she notice that the cloth had covered the table the way it did, she liked the way it looked, but didn't want to use something so torn, so maybe she would go back out later and grab another piece. First thing was first, Rey floated over to her chest, carefully opening it and raising the coral to grab a box filled with several tools that have proven to help with working on cloth. The first thing she did was grab a pair of blades, stuck to each other with holes on one end; they were perfect for cutting cloth so why not? Rey folded certain pieces of the cloth together to cut out the tears so they wouldn't continue to unravel. Afterwards, she put the blades aside and held up the cloth, not much really came to mind as far as use except clothing.
Taking a moment to look it over, she decided that she would try to make a clothing piece that would cover more of her body for those times she needs to be "more proper". Rey cut of near the rim of the, now in the shape of a circle, cloth, and pulled the large piece over her head. Her head fit in the hole that she had already made and even managed to pull her arms through no problem. Then she took the piece she cut off of the rim and tied it around her stomach, it looked nice enough she thought. It was easy to put on and take off, it was extremely simple looking, and still decent enough that she could wear it if need be. Happy with the new clothing, Rey took it off, folded it up, and put it to one side of the table. Rey then picked up her bag and dumped its contents on her table, several of her already acquired items fell from the bag as well as the new one. She looked at them all and began to wonder what she could do with the new things she had gathered. |
