58 Spring 512 Stalking... It sounded like something one did to an animal, when hunting... He supposed it was sort of like that... Going after the one thing... The need to not be noticed. All for the eventual goal of getting them, though more literally when actually hunting for killing and food. In this case, Rykanis was stalking, or spying on, a woman. She was the wife of a high standing akalak, who suspected her of cheating. And so he had brought the matter to the council. Telling of her leaving the house, going off mysteriously, and having a different excuse for were she had gone. And she seemed to disappear whenever he was at worked. He had checked in on her once as a surprise, and she had been gone. Of course, this was little evidence, so instead of having to gather the full council on it, to question the woman, they had tasked Rykanis to follow her, and find out the truth of the matter. That was why Rykanis found himself hiding early in the morning, before even the sun rose, as the said akalak left for his job. The akalak did not even notice as he walked past were Rykanis was hiding. He had found a good dark spot, were he was hard to see, but he could see out through a crack. Now he had to wait for the woman to leave, whenever that might be... He had long since switched over to his other side, since he was more patient when it came to long waits like this. |
