Nomad

56th of Spring, 512 AV

It was a typical night in the Sunset Quarter. Dark, mysterious, and full of crime. Nomad decided to scout out the local area for somewhere to rob. There weren't too many people around because most were afraid of being alone at night in Sunberth. Nomad was the exact opposite. He hated the day because it was very hard to pull of robberies and assassinations and favored the night because it was the opposite. All shadows, everyone asleep, and silence filling the air. He was walking around a street that he knew somewhat of. He knew this street by certain stones in the street that were missing and the street had a very "distinct" smell. He didn't know every nook and cranny, but he had a general idea of good houses that were not too difficult to rob.

As he was gazing into the stars, looking into the sky trying to notice a few patterns that were reckognizeable, he had bumped into a strange-looking man. The man was glaring at him, Nomad just stared back not talking, just giving the man a look that said "Don't mess with me." Nomad looked down at the man and saw that the man was pulling out a small weapon. Nomad identified this as a dagger. The man lunged forward with his dagger as Nomad quickly side-stepped the attack and stabbed the man in the abdomen. The man fell to the ground shrieking in pain. Nomad just stood there, giving the man the same look as before. The man cried out, "Please! Kill me and let my death be fast!" Nomad took his sai and stabbed the man, this time aiming for the heart. Nomad wiped off the blood of his blade and thought what else to do.

Nomad decided to look up at the stars for a while, without a care in the world, just relaxing. After about 5 minutes, he became very tired and decided to go home. To get practice, he always sprinted home as fast as he could. As he was sprinting, he tripped over a rock and had fallen over straight on his left arm. He was laying on the ground for about 10 minutes as he was doing showing no emotion on his face, but screaming in pain in his mind because he had broken his left arm twice.

What The Shadows Have To Hide(Ren Tanor,Riley Hawker)

Frostbight sees a dark figure walking around staring at the stars, but then encounters another man and kills him with no remorse. Frostbight watched in horror as this character he just saw murdered someone. A million thoughts racing through his head. He couldn't stop thinking. The rooftop he was on seemed even higher than before, he looked down and couldn't stop thinking about that act that was committed. It completely put his sanity in questionable circumstances. He stopped, he looked. He watched as the same person who just spilled civillian blood just stood in one place and stared at the sky. Frostbight noticed he was watching the stars. Was he spotting constellations? Or was he telling time by the stars? The figure stopped watching the stars and started running down the alley. Instinctually Frostbight followed along the rooftops trying to just watch what the figure does. The figure didn't get far and fell hard on his left shoulder. Frostbight noticed that there was a large stone in the road. He must have fallen on that. But the figure didn't move. It stayed there for a while, breathing quietly. Frostbight made the assumption that the figure must have hit more then just his shoulder. Frostbight wanted to check if he was alright, but then got a glimpse of his face. It was emotionless. It immediately struck fear into Frostbight. How can somebody just get hurt and not have any emotion? Frostbight chose not to talk to this character. He then knew that sanity was not something this character had. Frostbight stayed on the rooftop, watching.

What The Shadows Have To Hide(Ren Tanor,Riley Hawker)

Postby Ren Tanor on June 13th, 2012, 7:49 am

Ren's naked form slid gracefully down the alleyway as he silently gazed at the many run-down building. Broken glass from a shattered window littered the alleyway. The glass sparkeled from the almost mezmorizing light that emanated from the moon. Shining like a bright beacon in an otherwise dark and dangerous place. As Ren continued down the alleyway he turned and peered into the broken window. The building's interior seemed bare, as their was only a single crudely made bed whithin. Ren also noticed that blood stained the floor in several places. The stench of death drifted out of the window, causing Ren to scrunch up his nose in disgust. Ren turned back and continued on down the dark alley.
As Ren stepped out of the alleyway and onto the street. The cobblestone street was ridden with missing stones and covered in moss in some places. A flash of bright light brightened the dark street for the briefest moment before being ovetaken once again by the thick shadows that seemed to devour light. The tranformation into Ren's wolf form would ease the discomfort of walking barefoot over the pock-ridden streets of Sunberth. To any onlooker, peering out of one of the many dingy window that peered out of the street, Ren would be imediately noticable. His white fur contrasting against dark blackness of the shadows.
As Ren started to trot down the street at a fairly fast pace OOCAlmost jogging but for canines :p, he began to smell clearly, his enhanced senses breaking down the meledy of scents into individual scents. Ren lifted his head up a little higher, pointing his nose up ino the air to get a better smell. Ren smelled achohol, decay, mold, and among other things......blood, sweat and fear. Ren trotted off torwards the scent, slowly increasing his speed until he was almost at full speed.
Thoughts sped through Ren's head. Maybe he could help whoever was in trouble, maybe he could save someone's life. The scent was starting to intensify. Whithout any thought Ren began to bare his gleaming white fangs and a low almost inaudible growl began to emmanate from within the depths of his body.
Ren rounded the corner onto one of the wider streets in sunberth, only to see a cloaked assailant plunge a dagger into the heart of a helpless bystander. Ren's rage was slowly replaced by curiosity as he saw the assailant, who had just moments ago cold-heartedly kill a man, just stand theer and gaze at the stars. Ren watched until he saw the assailant turn and run off down the street. Ren also turned and followed suit. Ren, easily keeping pace, stayed back a distance so as to not be detected in his eavesdropping. Suddenly the assailant tripped and fell, landing on is arm with an inaudibleRen can hear because of his heightened senses snap. Ren stalked up torwards the now sitting man as he nursed his broken arm. Ren seamlessly shifted out of wolf form and immediately pounced on the injured man. Ren pulled the man's broken arm behind his ack, the limp limp bending at an unnatrual angle.

Nomad

Nomad breathed quietly as he thought of a way to escape this painful manuever. He analyzed everything, hoping to find an escape. He shut his eyes tight, hoping to ease his mind of the pain. It wasn't working. His arm was throbing of pain so bad that he almost screamed. He showed emotion on his face now, but still very little. If you looked at him, you could tell he was in pain. Nothing as serious as a broken arm, more like when you stub your toe. He couldn't hold out any longer. He was about to scream when he thought of something. He tried to put the man in a one-armed headlock. Nomad succesfully did this and the strange man let go. Nomad released the headlock out of respect and backed up about 3 feet.He said to the man in a low voice, "Who are you?"

What The Shadows Have To Hide(Ren Tanor,Riley Hawker)

Postby Riley Hawker on June 13th, 2012, 8:02 pm

By that time Frost made his way down the rooftops. He first jumped from one rooftop to a lower one. He felt the wind push against his hood, but the way it was formed made sure the wind didn't carry it off. He landed on the last rooftop before he could land on the dirty street but as he did his landing on the rooftop, his boot slid on a shingle and Frostbight landed hard on his back. He was not worried about the pain, he was more worried about the noise that he just caused. He finally jumped off the small house and when he landed on the street he did a foreword roll, just to make sure he didn't land wrong again. It wasn't the most graceful maneuver, but it did the job. He looked at the two people but they couldn't tell he was looking at them due to the features of his face being blocked by the darkness cast by his hood. He had no weapons but he was not afraid. The only person he feared was the heartless assassin lying on the ground. He didn't fear the kelvic, for he knew where his heart was. There was something about him that immediately made Frost trust him. Frost walked forward holding his hand on his hip, to give the impression he had a weapon... Just in case things turned south.

Ren felt the assailants arm wrap arounf his neck, Ren then relinquished his own grip on the man's broken arm. Pushed away and took a few steps back to put some distance between him the man.
Suddenly the man spoke,"who are you" the man said in a low voice.
Ren heard the sound of someone falling to the left of him. Ren didn't want to risk looking and giving his opponent the advantage. Ren charged torward and threw a right hook torwards the side of the mans face. At the same time Ren was creating a distraction with his right hand, he was wrapping his left hand around the hilt of the weird sword.OOCsorry for the short post I'm using my phones to do this one, hope it wasn't to much of a bother. Btw Ren has a 26 unarmed combat skill which mean he will win a close range batlle, you have no unarmed combat skill so you wouldn't have been able to pull ren into a headlock but I let it slide just for fun so for future reference your character has no skill in that so he probaly would have countered it and the gone back to the armbar and probakly ended the battle right then and there.

Nomad

OOC:
Secret :
Sorry about this taking so long. I've been in a creative "slump" and I have been very busy. Hopefully we can get this thread back on track :D

Nomad looked as he saw the man jump down from the building. As he was distracted by the man, the one who was attacking him threw a punch straight at the man. Nomad fell to the ground as he pretended to be knocked out. He hoped his plan had worked.
