As an up-and-up Hair Salon located on the outer edge of the Medical Petal, A Cut Above provides services for not only the Jamoura that inhabit The Spires, but each hairdresser is trained to cut, dye, or style any number of races hair! Catering to appointment as well as walk in guests, one will never feel any less than pampered during their visit. Though technically located on the Medical Petal, the salon resides above the actual platform itself. Forgoing any kind of traditional salon layout, A Cut Above is built around the trunk of a massive Bloodwood. With but a single ladder leading up to the salon, the climb leaves the visitor on a sturdy platform occupied by a single desk and a handful of chairs. Here, the customer gives their name and appointment time to the receptionist before taking a seat to wait. Simplistic in design, the body of the salon itself possesses a unique sort of elegance. With a wide walkway and a thick railing for safety’s sake, ten different hair stations are spread around the massive trunk. Each station consists of a desk that seemed to jut from the tree itself, a wide flat section of wood on which the hair stylist could keep his/her supplies. Thick vines twisted into the shape of a chair with a deep seat and a high, comfortable back were placed at each station, an assortment of pillows were available for those customers who found themselves wanting further comfort. The most extravagant element of all, however, are the finely wrought glass mirrors that hung above every desk. Thanks to the head hairdresser Ailhea, an Inartan formally of Wind Reach, the glassblowers in the faraway city had provided The Spires with such beautiful, as well as useful, pieces of art.   Ailhea Name: Ailhea Race: Inarta DoB: Summer 33, 482 AV PoB: Wind Reach Title: Head Hairdresser Skills: Cosmetology 75, Leadership 52 Teaching 45, Storytelling 30, Drawing 20 Ailhea's life began as the child of two Dek, that worked for a renown glassblower in Wind Reach. Her parents sold her when she was five to a Symenestra man in the city, not knowing, nor caring about his intentions. He traveled east to The Spires to wait for the child to grow to maturity, so she could carry his child, and there she learned the culture of the Hidden City. However, the Symenestra man was Banished from the city for attempting to Harvest an unwilling woman within the city limits, leaving the child without a guardian. She was adopted by a Jamoura woman for a couple of years, until an Endal arrived in The Spires looking to use the city as a vacation destination. When she discovered the girl, she decided to take her back to Wind Reach. Ailhea found that the Wind Reach way of life was too foreign from the Spirian. She met the glassblower that served as her parents' boss, who informed her that both had died. Pitying the girl, he offered his services to her free of charge for life. She returned to the Spires, and eventually began a business of hair cutting and styling out of her home.
