Nai'shee was barely walking along the streets, directed upon University. It wasn't easy to move. Late last night she was meeting with the customer at the wild beach a little further from the city. It had to be there, because he wasn't one with the best reputation here. She knew nothing about him, but she knew that they had to meet secretly. She successfully completed the job, except for the fact she used too much Djed. Again. She didn't overgive nor even collapse, but she was exhausted and as soon as man left with the small rowboat, probably directed towards bigger ship he rented a place on, she fell asleep right there. When she woke up she realized that she was late for breakfast at cafeteria and that she had to make it until lunch. She was used to hot weather, but it didn't help her at this state.

Pulling her legs along little dirty streets close to the end of the town she found herself in the middle of completely weird scene. For a second, she thought she might really be overgiven and hallucinating. Kaeson stood at the middle of the street confused, watching confused woman, which seemed like she washed herself in oils, temperas or something with bucket full of water, obviously just washing the wall in front of her. She also had painting equipment. Maybe she really did wash herself in colors. Or she just had one really unusual style. Adding to the landscape, Tock stood besides holding her own paintbrush and Bitey was running around her in excitement. That's when Nai'shee realized that was Tock's house, her back yardin which she'll be having Nai's rowboat by 20th when we do that thread which we should XD. She saw her boat and some wood lying not so far from there. It seemed like Tock worked on it too. All in all, show seemed worth watching and there was still a lot of time until lunch.

"What on Mizahar are you guys doing?", Nai'shee asked in loud tone while still approaching.

"Nothing! Uh, ju - just everything could use a bit of cleaning, now and then, right?" Kaeson responded, smiling, hoping Tock wouldn't blow up at his subtle suggestion. He already knew the red headed gadgeteer had a fiery temper, and wasn't prepared to argue with her on the cleanliness or rather, the lack there of, of her cottage. The last couple of times he'd been over Kaeson had noticed what he thought to be a fine layer of ash mixed in with the constant layer of dirt. Whatever it was, Tock's house could use a decent scrubbing either way.

Kaeson felt the blood rush up to his ears as the colorful woman yelled at him. Quick to defend himself, "No, NO! I knew you used sarcasm, uh, I was just using some of that sarcasm myself. Obviously," Kaeson smiled, quite pleased with his answer. His smile quickly faltered as he realized the young vantha woman had just screamed through his oh so clever response, only to be screaming about his lack of ability to cope with a nearly naked Tock.

"N - no, it - it's j - just she surprised me, is all! I was here, and," Kaeson blurted out, quite embarrassed the woman had noticed his behavior, "- and, of course, you were there and then all of a sudden Volos had fallen and the wall was dirty, because you said you were the captain of the maids and then Tock yelled, and I was suprised. I was just surprised is all," Kaeson mumbled to himself, have lowered his voice half way through his retort in hopes no one would hear him.

Still quite interested in Volos' thread count, Kaeson was quite pleased to see Tock dressed when she yelled at him to get some water. In any other circumstance, it would have annoyed him to be bossed around like that, but in this case he was glad to leave.

Grabbing the bucket, Kaeson turned around at the sound of a familiar voice. "Nai'shee!" Kaeson called out, clearly glad to see the sailor girl. He hadn't see her since they had gathered materials in the woods, and was glad to see she was doing ok. However, seeing Nai'shhe had given him an idea on where to find water.

Quickly, Kaesn grabbed the young girl's hand and brough her around to the other side of Tock's house. Reimancy was a well known magic, but a magic nonetheless. He knew Tock would be interested enough to ask questions, but Kaeson wasn't entirely sure how the rude tattooed woman would respond to seeing Nai'shee bring water into being, purely from her strength of will.

"Here," Kaeson said, offering Nai'shee the bucket. "Do you think you could reimance some water for me?"

Iris Timandre, made her way through Zeltiva. She refused to acknowledge the fact that she had gotten lost. She had no lore about Zeltiva. She just decided to leave Mura for a little while. Just for the experience. The Konti wore her typical white robes. She didn't carry much with her other than a bag of supplies that would last one week. The Konti did look tired. She stopped for a second to rest herself and look around. That's when she spotted other beings.

She wasn't just going to but into what they were doing. She made her way over to the slowly and remained quiet until they realized she was standing right near the housing. Iris was worried, she didn't know anything about any race other than her own. The wizard looked on, watching the cleaning and grinding her teeth. She placed her white backpack down onto the ground and continued to watch.

Iris admired the other races. When it came to them she feared what they'd try to do to her but she got curious. Raising her eyebrow she wondered why no one else in the area had gills. Iris lifted her right hand up to her face and turned it around to see the back. There rested the first mark of Rak'Keli along with scales. She did look different from the other people around the housing

The Konti said to herself softly in Kontinese.

"I wonder why they don't at least look similar to me. I would ask but it might be rude of me. And they speak Common. I won't be able to communicate with them that well."

Iris covered her mouth. She thought she said it too loud. And she was by now close enough as to where anyone around the house could hear her and see her watching them. The quiet Konti backed up a few steps no breathing hard. She didn't know what to expect. Emotions raced through her body, mostly fear.

Nai'shee was still confused when Kaeson pulled her to the side of the house. She allowed him to pull her, but didn't really put much effort in following him. What paintbrushes have to do with cleaning? Who's that colorful girl? Is she Vantha, Nai'shee thought she saw her eye color change. But she was pretty sure their hair is always dark. Did she dye her hair? And why was Tock so happy? It didn't seem like she liked cleaning too much. "Kaeson, what are you doing, seriously? Are they going to paint the wall?", she asked with playful smile.

"Oh, sorry, I would, but I'm not sure can I. I-I... I kind of abused Djed yesterday and now I'm really tired. Maybe if I ate and got some more sleep, but now... I really can't. But there's a beach not so far from here, on southwest end of the city, if you want we can go get the water together... They will never know that it's slated, haha!" She didn't really feel like offering this was the best choice either, firstly since she really didn't want to trick Tock anyways, even nor it would be a good prank, and more importantly because she wasn't really into going all the way back to that beach. But she felt it would be rude to let Kaeson go alone all the way to over there. It was kind of rude to ask that too, but when Tock asks you to do something you just can't be insulted. "Or", she added, "I can go ask Tock if she has something to eat and give you some water when I recover a bit".

She turned her head to mumbling in some language she didn't understand. She recognized Konti, pale woman with white hair. She seemed lost and really confused. "Hey, Konti tourist!", she yelled out in excitement. She didn't know Kontinese, tho, and she didn't know if any of her friends spoke it. The woman would probably only understand word 'Konti' in her sentence and Nai'shee was now worried how would she translate it if she didn't speak Common.

Postby Wart on June 24th, 2012, 9:04 pm

Whenever Wart went off on a shouting tirade (and this happened often) she was either met by more shouting, drawn weapons, or meek, if not sad, submission. Never before was she met with a happy smile.

When she rose from her painting she had prepared herself for further arguing. When the woman responded with a slap on her arm, she at first took it as some sort of violent threat. But when this was followed by the happy response and gesture of allowing her the wall, even an offer of giving her a hand, she had no idea how to respond. She always knew exactly what to do when things developed into a shouting match, or even a physical fight. But this... The woman suddenly disappeared inside, leaving Wart standing there completely dumbstruck.

What the hell just happened...

She looked at the boy, but he was no help, standing there still messing with his scarf, mumbling to himself it seemed. ... This has got to be some sort of freaking trick

When the woman came back out she was still standing there with no idea what to do with herself. Should she go back to painting? Should she get out of here and away from these people? The sudden appearance of another woman, who apparently knew the others, just added to the utter confusion of the situation. Who the heck... "I's all yers, Conch." All mine... What? Wart stood there still unsure of what to do, and when the boy left, taking the strange new woman with him, she finally turned and noticed the tools the first woman had brought out with her.

A small smile spread across her face, and she sort of laughed in disbelief. "You... You want to help? Ha... Well A'right then." Facing the wall again, her eyes had a slight spark to them. For the first time someone actually wanted to paint. With her. Not shout, not fight, just paint a wall. And by the look of the supplies she'd brought out, she wasn't no amateur.

Using the brush in her hand, she started to explain her idea of the painting. "Now see what I had in my head was, see the small picture I started here, this is a painting hangin inside a ship's cabin, ya know? Not too fancy cause its gotta contrast with the rest. So you got the inside of the cabin, lil table, maybe a compass or somthin on it. And then you go a little bit to this side--" She stepped back gesturing to various parts of the wall "and here's a big window here, and you look out here and you see the same sorta horizon you got on the lil painting, a sunrise, but more detailed. More real." Caught up in the picture her gestures got more expressive, almost painting the outline of everything she spoke of in the air. "Say like waves, lotsa waves, and the sun risin right about here, then you got the tinge of gold on the tips like here and down here, some clouds here... Course you gotta account for the lighting inside the cabin too..." Finally she turned to the woman, running her hand through her hair. "I dunno, that's just kin'a the real basic idea of it."

Tock listened to the woman's explanation, nodding along with it. It was more artistic than anything she herself would have done, but she was a builder, not an artist. She was the sort that only tended to add little decorative touches here and there, while focusing more on form and function. But then, the wall was already serving its function. It kept the bugs and the rain out, and the inside held all of her tacked up sketches and diagrams. So why not pretty it up?

"Sounds good, Conch," she told the woman. She grabbed a rag and started cleaning the rest of the wall. She was at best qualified to assist, since her painting skills were somewhat limited.

As the party started to grow, she waves at Nai. "Oy, Conch, lend a 'hand, aye?" She didn't bother to answer the question about what they were doing. She hadn't even asked the painter girl what she was doing when she caught her messing with the wall; she had just insisted that she wasn't paying for anything. Besides, it should have been obvious what they were doing, and Tock absolutely hated being asked that question.

When Kaeson dragged Nai off, Tock assumed they would be returning with fresh water soon. A moment later she heard someone speaking the Konti language. She had spent a year in Mura, and knew the Konti quite well. She didn't speak a word of their language, but she had heard enough of it to recognize the dialect.

Whoever the Konti woman was, she was standing just inside Tock's yard. That meant she was in he work zone. Being in the work zone meant you got put to work, or you left. So Tock tossed the woman another rag, pointed at the wall, and said, "Lend a 'and, aye? No dodgers 'round 'ere!"

The Konti caught the rag in her right hand. She didn't understand half of the things the woman said to her but based on her body motion Iris could conclude that it meant "Help us clean." Iris blinked twice with a puzzled look on her face and made her way over to the wall.

Instantly the Konti began to scrub the wall cleaning all the dirt off it. It wasn't actually all that bad, Iris grew up helping her mother clean so she has grown used to it. But Iris couldn't help but still be curious about the rest of the people around her. She turned her head right to examine the woman who tossed her the rag. Iris' violet eyes ran up and down, side to side.

Iris suddenly turned all the way to Tock, though she didn't know her name. The Konti spoke in the common language finally but it was very broken up with a heavy Kontinese accent. Though, they would be able to understand most of the things Iris said.

"I....Iris....names? Your names?"

After asking Iris turned back to the wall and scrubbed up and down some more waiting for the people around her to answer. Iris may not have shown it but she wanted to sit down with one of them and ask them all about Zeltiva and the human culture. It's something she'd been interested in for quite a while. The Konti looked at the wall. There was still some dirt left on it but Iris was a clean freak. When ever she cleaned something she wanted it to be spotless. She mumbled to herself disappointed in Kontinese language.

"I can clean better than this."

Posting Order :
Okay a couple people have asked about who's supposed to when in this thread. Groups of five tend to get confusing. So I've found it helps everyone out a lot most times when someone posts a set order so we don't get confused.

So order from here should be:
Kaeson
Nai'shee
Wart
Tock
Iris

It's not necessarily a big deal if we go out of order, but since there was some confusion, I hope this makes everyone's lives easier.

Postby Kaeson Dakano on June 28th, 2012, 10:24 pm

OOCRL has been crazy, and will probably continue being so for the next couple of days. I'm helping out with orientations at my uni and I've got more hours now at work since my training is officially over. I don't want to keep up the story so if takes me longer then two days post feel free to skip me -- I don't feel it's fair for me to keep a story where so many others are involved waiting. Again, so sorry for the wait.

Kaeson paused, considering the two options the young girl had given. It was early afternoon, but Kaeson was already beginning to feel tired from walking through the summer heat, so no, he wasn't going to walk to any beach -- especially not to full an empty bucket. Kaeson sighed, "So you're that tired, huh?" casually looking Nai'shee over for any signs of overgiving. He hadn't expected to find anything, considering the majority of overgiving was mental in nature, but it couldn't hurt to look the girl over.

"Yeah, let's go ahead and ask Tock if she's got anything for you to eat -- or maybe she's got some water stored somewhere in that mess of a house," Kaeson smiled, a pathetic attempt at humor. He had never considered himself very funny, and generally avoided making jokes, preferring to not make himself out to be the idiot. However, anytime Kaeson found himself in a humorous mood, his jokes often came at the expense of others.

Turning around, Kaeson saw the Konti. Eyes filling with a soft pink, lighting up with flashes of a deep blue, his sole vantha trait betrayed his own curiosty and keen interest to the others around him. "HI," he mumbled sheepishly -- like most men, or the majority of the male mizahar population, he grew rather bashful and shy around the Konti. Besides the obvious, the white women of the Konti isle had always been a secret interest of Kaeson's. He had always wondered what it would be like to have his fortune read by one of the mystical Konti.

Kaeson waited till Tock and Wart had finished talking, he knew enough to not even try to interrupt Tock and based on how the colorful girl had reacted to his simple question, Kaeson figured he shouldn't even bother to ask her.

"Hey Tock, you got anything for Nai'shee to eat? Or water for the bucket?" Tock had already asked him to get some water, but hadn't even bothered to check her own house -- he wondered if she even had any.

Hearing the Konti's small voice, Kaeson turned around, eager to be the first to answer. "Kaeson," he smiled at the Konti, "And your Iris?"

She left Kaeson to think, slowly breathing in and out. Her mind was tired and warmness around her felt somewhat comfortable. She didn't notice Kaeson was afraid that she overgave, but she wasn't worried. She was tired of Flux usage, which can only lead to her muscles breaking. God, she has to give up on magic, instead of taking more and more classes in it. She could already be classified as some small wizard. And, ironically, she's a thief. You would expect there's a profession she could use her talents in in a better way, but no.

She was glad when Kaeson chosen the second option, not willing to go all the way to beach herself.

When everybody finally noticed the Konti the girl spoke, trying to ask for names. Kaeson hurried to reply, which led to Nai'shee's suspicious sight. Perhaps, he was interested in beautiful girls of Mura. "I'm Nai'shee", she added, pointing at herself, trying to sound and be the most enthusiastic she could, even if her top priorities of eating and taking a nap screamed from the bottom of her mind. "Iris is beautiful name!" She wondered if Konti was even able to understand her.

Nai'shee looked at Tock and she made a face when Kaeson asked about water. She hoped Tock wouldn't yell again, since it was utterly stupid question after he was asked to get some. "I'm kind of tired and I thought I could... get you... some water if I recovered." She had no idea if Tock was introduced to personal magic and ways of recovering Djed, but she hoped so. Surrounded by Wart and Iris, who both didn't seem open to unnatural arts, she didn't want to babble about magic too much. Animatons were probably enough for those too, let alone explaining that she was tired because she overused magic which made her body use it's potentials to fullest and now she needs to recover special energy used for it so she could create water out of nothing. Did Tock even know that she was Reimancer?
