Inoadar Name: He no longer goes by "Inoadar", preferring the name on his looted citizenship papers, "Nolan Parnell". He uses a variety of other names as well. His true name is Trandino Adarius, but he will not acknowledge that name, unless he plans to kill the person using it. Race: Human Age: 28 Birthday: 80th of Fall, 486 AV Physical Description (undisguised) An average height, pale-skinned, green-eyed man, seeming always about to break into a sardonic grin, with a look in the eyes as if he’s sizing you up to determine how hard it would be to break you. Wiry and dark-haired, his eyes are always moving. He prefers dark clothes and often walks with a common-looking cane, though he does not limp. Well-spoken and humble, when it suits him, sarcastically eloquent and insulting the rest of the time. Hates tatoos, but loves scars. He is now missing his left little finger and the first knuckle of his left ring fnger. Character Concept Inoadar is a devoted believer in the strength of pain, seeing in it a power to numb himself to that which most forces use to verify truth, thereby enabling him to manipulate them. He was rejected by The Second Edict of the city, Nyka, as being too extreme when he began taking his whips to fellow members after lashing himself beyond anything they could endure. He has found that he likes pain, and considers death to be the highest intimacy one can bring to another. Truly, it is something that can only happen once in life and cannot be lied about. Character History
Inoadar was born to a monk of Uphis and had his baptism into the martial life at an early age. One of his father’s most profound lessons was that, upon entering a battle, you accept that you WILL BE HURT, perhaps not injured, but that there WILL be PAIN. Therefore it is best to school yourself in the embracing of pain so that it does not unman or distract you when it does occur. Inoadar took the lesson to heart and began picking serious fights at age 10. He began aggravating his own injuries to cause himself pain so that the pain inflicted on him by others would pale in comparison. At age 12, he even feigned disloyalty to be subjected to interrogation and got through it by imagining what he would do to make it even more painful than what was being done to him. His questioners were shocked and disturbed by his refusal to break and he was placed under house-arrest as punishment for his hoax. At age 14, monks and administrators began to worry about his extremes and got him to enroll in The Second Edict as a way of diverting his sadism onto himself. At this time he learned of the poison, “Phantom’s Shell”, which increases the body’s sensitivity to pain. He spent a few years indulging his desire to learn more of such things, but at age 17, his dissatisfaction with his fellow members’ lack of ‘faith’ brought him into conflict with his master over the arbitrary lashings he inflicted on them. At age 19, he slew his master and escaped the compound. He spent the next 6 years traveling through Sunberth and Zeltiva studying various classes of toxins before pressing on to Ravok. When not traveling, duffel bag remains in room, minus whatever is borrowed. Heirloom Sturdy hardwood cane. Fairly useful as a melee weapon. But it's real value is that it unlocks into two parts. One, the shaft, is a blowgun. Two, the curved handle is also the handle for a six-inch stiletto blade. Inserting the blade into the blowgun, pushing and turning, you will feel a 'click'.
