Center of scholarly knowledge and shipwrighting, Zeltiva is a port city unlike any other in Mizahar. [Lore]

Before Leigo could blab on anything potentially dangerous, the familiar cut him short.
Asking him who he is. I'm pretty sure you can't screw that one up.
Going with the familiar's impulse, Leigo simply stated one of the things that interested him. Hadrian didn't have to answer, but there were always other ways to get infromation.
„Who are you?“ one question. And he would leave – probably. |

He sighed, but did not give up. Perhaps with a name, the student would disappear. "Hadrian Aelius," he said. His title remained unspoken. It just felt strange to be a professor at his age, and while he was confident in his abilities, even as a teacher -- after all, he had taught a Kelvic auristics and reimancy, two disciplines he had wrestled with himself for so long -- he was not a natural at dealing with people.
"Satisfied?" he asked, severe brow rising. His eyes were wrong. If he were a Vantha, they surely would have changed from that too bright, chlorine blue to something more obviously denoting irritation. Add to that how pale was his skin and the obvious fact that if he stood up he would tower over any true Vantha. |

As a good merchant’s son, Leigo didn’t take long to recognize Hadrian’s last name. He probably wouldn’t have cared for this man being a professor at this time either. The blond could surely curse himself after for being disrespectful to faculty. All he wanted to do now was leave. Talking about the old days gave him nothing but sad memories and sappy moments. Needless to say, he despised both.
“Pardon me then, Trajan’s son, I’ll be taking my leave now.”
Without further explanation, he picked up Onuo and his book, disappearing soon after. Leigo couldn’t really call it satisfied – rather interesting. |

Hadrian blinked at the use of his father's name, though he supposed it might be bandied about by people in the know even here. His father did send shipments over the mountains when it was lucrative to do so, though most of what Zeltiva needed would spoil over the trip, and so they didn't always get what they needed.
The student's manner rankled. Hadrian had been raised with an eye toward etiquette, the which made social encounters easier for all involved, but it had not worked today. He didn't even know the student's name, but he noted his departure, muttering to himself, "What a dick." |
