I live in the South West of England and most people probably know that it rains a lot here. Well, yesterday it poured. We had over a month's worth of rain in about 24 hours. The water levels in my town reached numbers that have never been recorded down here in history.
I've never been in an area that's flooded before so I was in no way prepared for what I saw.

There are fields under there somewhere. And a bridge.
Our roads turned into rivers. I'm not even kidding when I say you could swim down them.

Or kayak, you know, whichever.
The road at the top of my town had all its tarmac ripped off it because of the sheer force and volume of water that just flowed everywhere.
Basically we were stranded in our houses. My friend showed me this picture of the town she lives in. (The next town over)

She has horses and stables, and they had to go out in all this water and rescue the poor things.
We can get about today, but only because my dad has a good old Land Rover. We had to go and collect people from various places and take them home because they'd been stranded overnight!
So yep, that's what's going on in England right now! Yay.
I figured that was a more exciting start to a scrapbook than what I had planned.
