It's All In The Wrists - Tock (FlashBack)

Timestamp: 65th of Fall 511 AV
Where: Ravok
Who: Kyra, Tock

The city of Ravok, the floating city and a place where dreams could come true and nightmares could be realized. There was a beauty to the city, by day a serenity guided by the bright sun; cast over the tall buildings and left the shadows to cling to the back of the alleyways. By night, the streets were just as alive, lanterns lit the paths and from a distance showed the city in a unique light. The waters under, and around the compound-like structure were a deep blue, and helped the city to stand apart like no other. It was a site to see for both Ravokian and traveler alike, still the true bliss was known only by those who worshiped the dark God that reigned supreme over the city.

Music could be heard playing from a single street in the city. A small crowd had gathered around to see what the commotion was about. A man stood out front for all eyes to see, his arms held out to either side of his body as he strutted about and spoke loudly.
"Good sirs and Madams, come one and all to see the magnificent Marcelo and see for yourself..His wonders!" The music became louder, surrounding them, the sounds of drums, fiddles, and even flutes rocked the scene. Marcelo, the man pumping up the crowd, continued to strut about and waving his arms to attract more people. The dark leather coat that he wore, which appeared to be covered in flames, billowed as he moved about the crowd. He wore dark makeup under his eyes, and kept his long black hair in a ponytail at the base of his neck.

Alessa, now known as Kyra stood behind him and a bit closer to the men playing for the showmen. The kelvic girl was dressed in a dark tight-fitting, albeit; gothic looking jesture's attire. She sauntered around, her lips wrapped around the mouth of the metal flute that she carried as she played along. She still had much to learn of the instrument, but in realizing that the holes in the metal had a purpose, brought her closer to her goal. Luckily for those in attendances, the music played by those with skill easily drowned out her awkward, yet amusing squeals. Once more people had joined the wanderers, Marcelo smiled and spun around, taking a horn from beside his musician's chest, before turning back to speak to them all. "What you're about to witness is magic of the truest sort. I am no mage mind you, for my magic is not limited like reimancy and there are no ill effects."

He continued to walk the crowd, looking over the faces of those interested, and those becoming annoyed. "Watch and be amazed..." His voice was strong and charisma exuded from him as he spun around to face his assistant Kyra. "Kyra if you would please...My staff!" The man seemed to have a wicked smile carved into his face, and his eyes, a light shade of blueish green poured into anyone he looked upon. Hypnotic some might say, and he had used his talents to pursue many a man and woman for his own purposes, whether for monies or a more personal use. He waited patiently as Kyra leaned forward to reached inside the chest and pulled out a small black stick.

She smiled as she stood up again, and dainty held the stick out in front of her so that the crowd could see that it was only a stick. Turning back to Marcelo, she tossed him the stick and in a flashy, suave movement, he spun around and caught the stick in his hand which instantly grew into a short staff. Kyra smiled, swaying her hips a bit as she held her arms out and applauded his performance. Marcelo stood there, his body posed as he took in the bit of excitement that was slowly growing over the crowd. Turning around again, he lifted his arm and began to twirl the staff between his fingers, his wrist rotated slightly to make the moment more exaggerated.
"Now then, let us begin!" He said loudly, hauling his twirl with the crown of the staff pointed at Kyra.

She smiled and reached into the chest again, taking from it five red balls. Turning around, she held one of the balls up for all to see while curling the other four against her chest. She swayed her hips a bit as she moved, and slowly rolled the ball over her palm, before she gently tossed it to Marcelo. He turned, and held both hands out to catch the ball and quickly cuffed them together once he had it. A curious look stretched across his face as he looked down, his hands open and yet there was no ball. Marcelo looked around himself, on the ground and at the feet of the people closest to him, still the ball was gone.

He looked to Kyra, and planted his hands firmly on his hips, as if she was somehow the culprit. Kyra stared back at him, a quizzical look across her face as well and showed him the four balls that she had left.
"Again!" He said loudly looking to the girl. Kyra blinked and gently tossed him again ball, this time even slower to make sure that he didn't loose it. Marcelo reached out, cupping his hands again to catch the ball, and quickly clasped them together once he had it. He was met with more frustration as he opened his hands once more to find them empty, and the ball no where in sight.

Marcelo looked to the crowd, all seeming to have different expressions. While some looked confused, others were hoping that a fight would break out or something more. He glared at Kyra, his eyes narrowed and his lips folded into a frown. Kyra stood there, holding the three remaining balls, and if not for the white makeup plastered on her face, the redness in her cheeks would easily have shown.
"Kyra is this some sort of joke? Hand me another ball and make sure that I catch it!" The angry musician demanded and held both hands out again. Kyra pouted, frustration building and finally she pelted him with the ball. The ball bounced off his forehead and dropped into his cupped hands.

Opening his hands a third time, he was met with the same fate. The ball had vanished just as the others had. Marcelo looked to the crowd with a mock expression of shock. A few were coming around and understanding what they were witnessing. The musician never intended to do anything with the staff, the disappearing balls were the real trick. Not the most extreme of his tricks, but Marcelo always liked to start out small. Some began to chuckle at the odd trick, while other were still in the dark. Finally he stood tall, waving his arms about to allow the collected balls to fall from his sleeves and onto the ground. The crowd erupted in unanimous laughter, and some even began to applaud their effort.

Once he had wet their appetite and firmly gripped their attention, he would move onto more interesting and daring tricks. The music began to play loudly again and Marcelo started to perform, what he called his 'One Man' Solo, while Kyra collected donations from the crowd. She moved through the crowd swaying her slender hips to the beat of the drum and holding a silver tray flat against her palm. She moved about them, allowing those willing to place mizas on the tray while Marcelo wowed them with his magic. It was going rather well, as those with coin didn't seem to mind parting with a few, until she came upon a certain well-dressed burly fellow who didn't seem to want to lend a hand.

Kyra smiled towards him, moving the tray away just a bit so that he could take in her full shape as she danced in front of him, even bumping her hip against his. It seemed to work, as the man's face became a bit reddish and he reached for his coin pouch. Kyra smiled and brought the tray back to him, and was a bit surprised when he placed a single miza on the tray. She could tell by the size of his pouch that he had plenty more and that annoyed her. The kelvic arched her brow and turned up her lips and stood there starting at him. With a loud huff, the man reached back into his pouch and pulled out a hand full of mizas, and started to count them as he decided how many he wanted to give. Kyra narrowed her golden eyes, a smirked curling her lips as she brought her hand up under his, causing the mizas he held to flip over into the tray.

The burly man was not thrilled and looked down at her with wide eyes. She smiled at him and winked sweetly before she sauntered off. Her plan seemed to work as his anger wavered and he did not cause a commotion. What she didn't expect however, was the swift hand that landed on her rear. The outfit she wore was almost like a second skin, and the material was of a very thin leather. The sound of the impact rang in her ears and she felt a sting warming the, probably bruised area. Kyra frowned, a low growl building in her throat as she continued on. As much as she would have liked to express her gratitude, she knew that Marcelo would not approve. They were in the city to make money, not start trouble.

It's All In The Wrists - Tock (FlashBack)

Postby Minerva Agatha Zipporah on July 28th, 2012, 6:28 pm

Tock was pretty miserable. She needed to get out of this city. Petch Ravok, petch it up the petching arse! With an iron pole! Mad fanatics, racist poshies, Crazy Midget Bitches, and that damn evil God they all worshipped. Petch them all!

She trudged through the streets, miserable and alone. Her broken arm, fixed in a splint and hanging from a sling against her chest, had cost her her job at the Defiled Blade. They had told her they had no use for a girl with only one working arm, and she could come back when she was able to swing a hammer again. She'd gotten pissed off about the way they were treating her, and gotten into a screaming match with her boss about how she was perfectly capable of working with one good arm. A point she'd then tried to prove when, after he continued to dismiss her, she swung a fist at his head with her good arm.

Trying to punch an Isur was a bad idea, but Tock had never learned to control her temper or her violent urges.

She was now banned from ever setting foot inside the Defiled Blade again, and left trying to figure out how to get passage to Nyka. She could catch a ship from there to Zeltiva, and check out this University that Valerius had told her about. Maybe she'd have better luck there than she had in Ravok, or Syliras, where she'd been thrown out of the city onto her arse by an old wizard's angry golem.

Her attention was pulled from her own woes when she heard some man calling out with a dramatic flair, drawing a crowd around himself. She wandered over, frowning, wondering what all the fuss was about. When the man started talking about magic, however, she rolled her eyes. She was a Magus. Sue knew magic, had crafted it and worked it with her own two hands. She wasn't going to be impressed if this man started doing tricks, which likely weren't even real magic at all.

She watched the 'magic staff' trick, without being the least bit impressed. She had built gadgets of her own, and would have bet it was nothing more than a spring loaded telescoping pole. The 'magic' of such a performance was quite lost on someone who knew the science behind it.

She yawned when the man 'lost' his ball. She'd had enough knives pulled on her by seemingly unarmed men to know that the hand was quicker than the eye, and he likely had the ball tucked up his sleeve the same way some Sunberthans hid their daggers.

The crowd certainly seemed amused and impressed with the display and the interaction between the man and his assistant, but Tock was growing bored. She saw things from too practical of a viewpoint to be impressed by tricks, and after helping a wizard forge intelligent swords, self-loading crossbows, and mechanical men that walked on their own, she just wasn't impressed by parlor tricks.

Though she did smirk when the girl pegged the old guy in Tue head with the ball. Good fer yous, she thought, giggling a bit.

Though she rolled her eyes when the man dumped the collected balls from his sleeves and everyone clapped. Could they seriously not tell that's what he'd been doing? Some people could be so dense.

She waved the assistant girl away in disgust when she came around begging for money. Tock worked hard for her money, and she wasn't about to give it away to someone who hadn't earned it. Besides, she had an important trip to save for, and it wasn't likely she'd be finding a new source of income before she left the city.

Though as much as she didn't think the performers had really earned her money, she still didn't think the poor girl had earned the lewd slap she received. If there was one thing that would really set off Tock's temper, it was when a man out his hands on a woman like that. That was part of how she'd wound up with the broken arm.

Not that she was ever one to learn her lesson.

She pulled a small pair of metal tongs from the tools in her pack and latched them onto the man's ear. She pulled and dragged him forward, yanking downwards until the man was forced to drop to his knees in order to not lose the ear (not that it would be the first time she'd taken someone's ear off). The crowd gasped, but just watched the scene, thinking it was part of the show.

Once she had the man kneeling before the girl he'd slapped, she shouted, "'Pologize!"

It's All In The Wrists - Tock (FlashBack)

Postby Kyra on July 29th, 2012, 7:32 am

Kyra continued to walk, trying to ignore the sting on her rear. She needed to stay cool and collected but the sting was a continuous reminder of the jerk who dared to put his hand on her. She wanted to be a good girl and stay out of problem as per Marcelo's plan, however trouble had a way of finding her. Kyra turned on her heels, heading back towards the man, ready to pound him into the ground and take the rest of his mizas while she was at it. But before she reached him, another woman had stepped up. Fiery red hair clearly made her stand out from the rest, and with a interesting blue trim on one side. She appeared with what looked like tongs and snapped them around the man's ear and brought him to his knees.

Kyra smiled devilishly as she brought her free hand to rest at her hip and cocked it to the side. Apparently she wasn't the only one that found the man's actions in poor taste. Although now, there was no turning back, and she would have to take it all the way. She glanced around at the awe-struck crowd, realizing that many were watching them, while others were still watching the show up front. She smiled, tilting her head a bit and pressed her lips together as she waved a single finger in front of him.
" No, no Sir...The stage is this way."

Kyra smiled towards the woman, and waved her to follow her through the crowd and bringing the man with her. Marcelo was still up front, unaware of what was going on. He moved about, dramatic as always, playing to the crowd before, after, and sometimes even between the tricks that he performed. Marcelo was known for over doing things, and as far as he was concerned, the flashier the better.

He had just finished an unique trick using a bag of glass and a buckle drum, when he turned and noticed Kyra coming towards him, with an attractive redhead tugging along a man in suspenders. Kyra walked up to him, a wicked smile across her lips as she, in a somewhat dramatic fashion, lifted her arms and pointed towards the man in question.

"We have a volunteer."

Marcelo wasn't sure what happened but, he could tell by the fire in Kyra's eyes, the look of pain on the man's face, and the irritated look upon the redhead that he had wronged one of them if not both. Either way it didn't matter, one thing that he would not stand for was a brute who put his hands on a woman. The crowd had grown silent as they all looked on, unsure of what they were witnessing. Marcelo moved forward, his eyes narrowed and a twisted smile grew upon his face as he tightly gripped the man's shoulders and pulled him along.

"Madams and Sirs, Our first volunteer!"

The man started to speak, to protest with all he had, but Marcelo was faster and clamped his hand down hard across his mouth, and pulled him further. "Don't be shy Sir, I am a professional." He smiled big, allowing the frightened, yet angry man to count all of his teeth if he so chose to and pinned him against the side of the building closet to them. Marcelo leaned in closely, a new fire in his own eyes as he stared down the suspender clad man. "Do not move, I would not want to miss, even professionals can make mistakes."

He turned back to face the crowd again, a new interest seemed to had form among the group, as all eyes were now on them. "This trick is more about skill than of magic. Watch...and be amazed!" He said loudly, turning his body in one smooth motion and held his hand out towards Kyra. "If you would please..." The girl giggled, the event to occur already known to her, and the thought was very exciting. She dainty slipped over to the chest, this time pulled a single red apple from within the square box. She stood up, a simple twist of her hips, and her arm extended to display the apple for the crowd, before she tossed it to him.

With just a bit of dramatic flare, he turned to his left and caught the apple with only three fingers wide. He turned away from the crowd and gently placed the apple on the top of the man's head.
"Don't move..." He said as he slowly pulled his hands away. Standing back, Marcelo lightly flicked his wrist and a tiny dagger slipped from inside his sleeve and into his palm. He held up the dagger for all to see, and then stood back as he readied himself to strike his target.

The man in suspenders stood against the wall, his beady eyes were wide with fright and if not for the excessive fatty tissue surrounding his legs, his knees would have surely knocked. Kyra moved a bit closer to get a better view, she had watched him throw daggers many times, and he was always on target. Marcelo stood focused, his arm behind him and the other at his side. Just as he was about to strike, he paused, another idea forming into that wicked mind of his.

He turned yet again, his arm swinging hard, allowing the sleeve in his coat to billow, as he held out the dagger to the redhead. He smiled confidently as he looked over the young beauty and turned the dagger so that she could take the handle.

It's All In The Wrists - Tock (FlashBack)

Tock arched an eyebrow curiously when the girl directed them to the stage, then smirked in approval. Why not humiliate the man? She walked forward, dragging him by his ear, while he moaned, "Ow ow ow ow ow! I'm sorry, I apologize! Ow ow OUCH!"

Tock released the man's ear when the magician took over and cut off the man's protests. He looked bewildered, a bit frightened, and too timid at the moment to stand up for himself. The crowd watched on, assuming the man was simply part of the show, applauding a bit when the apple was procured. Tock grinned and stepped back, adjusting her arm in its sling. She knew where this was going, and this would be a MUCH more interesting trick.

Though she was completely caught off guard when the magician handed HER the knife. She didn't know how to throw a knife... the most experience she had with one was clumsily stabbing someone in a dark alley, and that had usually been with a chisel instead. But she grinned anyway, taking it in her good hand, a wild look in her eyes.

Did the magician have some trick to ensure her throw stayed on target? Or was the lewd man about to get a more permanent lesson in manners? In Sunberth, no one would protest such a physical lesson, even if it ended in the man's death. Tock wasn't quite that cruel... she had never killed anyone (though in a few cases, it hadn't been for a lack of trying). She wasn't really inclined to end this man's life...

But maybe she could take out an eye.

With a clumsy, inexperienced swing of her arm, she hurled the knife right at the man, not really sure if she'd hit apple or flesh.

It's All In The Wrists - Tock (FlashBack)

Postby Kyra on July 30th, 2012, 4:03 am

Marcelo and Kyra, along with the full crowd watched, seeded with much anticipation, as the redheaded vixen tossed the dagger. No one could be certain if her aim had been the apple, or the man standing below it. It was made clear by her weak form that she wasn't skilled at throwing daggers. However her aim had been close enough, and as the dagger whipped through the air it landed with a thump, as the handle bounced off the man's chest.

He coughed, and leaned forward, his hand gently pressed against his chest as he tried to regain the air that was just pushed out of him. When he moved, the apple on his head rolled forward, and Marcelo quickly stepped forward, his long arm extended towards the man, as he caught the apple. He pretended that he didn't have it, as if the apple could roll away at any moment. Just as it seemed as it would drop, he flipped his hand and caught it between three fingers as he had done before. A sudden laughter burst from within him, inadvertently causing the crowd to cackle as well.

Seeing it all falling apart in front of him, the man realized he had been made the fool, and although he wasn't in the position to fight them off, he could certainly flee the scene. The man went for it, pushing himself off the wall, as he tried to scurry around the corner and inside the building. Marcelo lashed out, pulling a coiled whip from his hip and slung his arm, allowing the leather strap to crack across the man's back.
"Leaving so soon? But we've just begone." The man whirled around, his back arched and a hand pressing against the wounded area. Kyra began to giggle, a low purr rumbling into her throat, as she moved toward and escorted their volunteer back to the wall. "Think of it this way Sir, at least you're getting your mizas worth." She smiled, baring her feline fangs, and offering him another wink before she stepped away.

While Kyra was attending to the gentlemen, Marcelo slipped over to the chest and pulled out two additional daggers. He turned in the same dramatic fashion as he always did, and held the daggers out for the crowd to see. It wasn't much of a shock anymore, as the people were now aware of what was about to happen, and were merely staying to enjoy the humiliation further. Marcelo moved back to the man again and set the apple atop his head. The man began to struggle, to try and free himself, but Marcelo forced him against the wall and brought one of the daggers to his throat.
"Move again, and I'll show them my headless petcher trick." Silence fell upon the man, and he stood frozen as he watched Marcelo step away.

Standing back, Marcelo flipped the dagger into his palm and held it out for Kyra to take. He held his other hand up and pointed at her with a smirk drawn across his face.
"Madams and Sirs, my assistant!" She smiled, gladly taking the weapon and moving to stand next to the redhead who stood silent. Kyra brought her arm up, trying in some way to aim or guide her hand, before she reached back and threw the dagger. Sadly her aim wasn't any better than the redhead's, and her throw had been too low, causing the dagger to drop inches, and the handle of the blade slammed into the man's crotch.

A loud howl like cry, exploded from his gaping mouth as he dropped to his knees. The apple on his head rolled off again and onto the ground. Marcelo's smile, burned wicked as he applauded her effort. The crowd laughed harder, fingers pointing to the man as he rolled around on the ground. Kyra smiled again and reached out, taking the redhead's free hand and raising it into the air to proclaim their victory. They had put on quite a show, but Marcelo realized that it was best to put an end to it, as not to attract unwanted attention.
"Madams and Sirs, that is our show and I thank you!"

Tock arched an eyebrow curiously, uncertain if there'd been some trick, or if the man had survived through mere luck and the sloppiness of her throw. For all she knew, the blade COULD have penetrated his flesh. But on the other hand, maybe the magician had handed her a trick knife, and there had never been any danger.

Either way, she was having fun.

She watched as they prevented the man from escaping, glancing around at the crowd. Did they still see this as part of the show? Would anyone interfere, and try to save the man? How far would it go before it stopped being fun, and started being scary?

If this had been Sunberth, it could have gone on until the 'volunteer' was dead, and likely no one would interfere. But here, in loony floaty-town, who knew?

Well, at least it seemed like the audience enjoyed a nut shot. Tock bent over laughing, feeling like the man had gotten exactly what he deserved. There was nothing more fitting for a man who treated a woman like nothing more than a sex object, than to strike him right in the organ he was thinking with.

She gave the assistant girl a one-armed hug, and said, "Oy, Sook, you's my kinda girl, aye? Sure knows 'ow fer ta teach a bloke some manners..."

Once the show was over, Marcelo bowed to the crowd and to the young pretty redhead. A flashy smile curved his lips as he spun around and started to collect his equipment. He looked around, seeing the various toys and objects laid about the ground from his performance. He could only smile, knowing that, while his style and tricks may wow the crowds, it also left a huge mess.
"Kyra, a hand please.." He spoke loudly, without looking to see where she was.

Kyra smiled as she was hugged, and wrapped both of her arms around the woman and squeezed her. She purred just a bit, only mildly excited as she squeezed her tighter. Kyra didn't mind closeness at all, and warm bodies were always a comfort. She purred a bit more as she took in the woman's scent and wondered why she smelled of oil. Finally she released her and giggled, bringing her hands to her hips as she looked at her.
"You talk funny."

By this time the crowd had mostly left, and the stragglers were probably just wondering around, or still gawking at the oddly dressed pair. Kyra looked the woman over, she could tell that she was different. Her manner of speech, her fiery red hair, and even her clothing weren't common in the city. "I like your style red hair, where are you from?"

A few feet away Marcelo continued to collect his gadgets, unaware that Kyra wasn't helping him. It didn't take him as long as he would had thought, as he was now half way finished. Luckily, or maybe unluckily, because of the disturbance, he didn't get around to using most of what he had planned and so those items were never removed from the chest. "Kyra, could you collect the balls?" He said as he looked back, realizing that the ones he carelessly dropped on the ground had rolled off.

"It's been fun, yes?" Kyra smiled to the redhead as she walked over and picked up the first ball. She wasn't sure how Marcelo felt about it, but to her it had been a fun day. She enjoyed traveling with him, and helping him perform his tricks. However there was nothing like an unpredictable moment.

It's All In The Wrists - Tock (FlashBack)

Tock initially liked the girl, but she growled at her when she commented on Tock's style of speech. "Oy, whazza matter what wit' 'ow I talk, aye?" she asked, planting a fist on her hip. "Ya ever think what maybe 'is yous what talks weird, aye Shelia? I ain't done needs nobody what fer tellin' me 'ow's I should talk..."

She scowled, feeling irritable at the way she was being treated like an outcast. She liked standing out from a crowd, but she still preferred to be part of that crowd, rather than someone separate, on display, to be gawked at and ridiculed. So she held up her chin and said, "I's done lived in Mura. What 'fore I came 'ere..." It was a half-truth. She HAD lived in Mura for a year... but it wasn't her original home. Yet, she didn't consider Sunberth to be her true home anymore, and wouldn't mention where she was really from.

She watched as the girl started cleaning up the balls, half-tempted to help despite her irritation. But she only had one good arm, and didn't want to bend over too much and rish banging it into something. She wished she could make a replacement hand, until her bone was healed. But so far, that was nothing more than a dream.

So she just glanced around, one arm in the sling, the other fist planted on her hip. "Ya always 'as some poor schmuck what ya 'umiliate up in fronna everybody?" she asked. "Makes what fer a good show, aye?" she chuckled, wishing the bastard was still around so she could have another go at him. He'd gotten as much as he deserved, sure, but Tock had an over-evolved sense of vengeance. Sometimes, she just took things too far.

Kyra paused and looked at the woman curiously. She hadn't meant to insult her, she liked the fact that she was different. Most of the people in the city looked alike and even acted as well. It was the people that stood out that she liked the most, people like Marcelo, who would stand out among the liveliest group. She wasn't sure how to react at the moment, and at times it was hard to tell if someone was angry or just excited.

Humans and their abundance of emotions tend to have just as many facial expressions.Kyra had spent many nights laying on the bed, while Marcelo strolled about in front of her, as he rehearsed his next act. The redhead was interesting, even more amusing and she could only smile as the woman lashed out on her.
"Shelia?" She asked tilting her head a bit. Some of what she said was lost to her, but she could tell that the woman wasn't happy.

"You're a lot of fun red hair."

Kyra continued to move about, collecting the balls that Marcelo had tossed about. In truth it wasn't her favorite trick, and she didn't understand why he didn't start off with the bigger stunts, rather than something that usually only got a few laughs. But that was his style, and he always claimed that even the smallest trick had it's purpose. Kyra didn't care much for that either, and preferred the tricks where they looted people for mizas.

Moving back to the chest, once she had all the balls, she dropped them inside. With the clean up finished, she closed the lit to the chest, and spun around on her heels before she sat down on it with a soft plop.
"No, It's not always this much fun....Sometimes it's very boring."

The young kelvic could recall many times when they had only a few people standing around. Still, even with a bigger crowd sometimes things were boring and no one got hurt. Those were the days that she had wished that Marcelo had allowed her to sleep in and handled the show himself, but that never happened. Kyra started to giggle as the woman did, thinking of how much fun it would have been if they had used fire. "But, there's always another show....and another schmuck, yes?"

It's All In The Wrists - Tock (FlashBack)

Tock frowned a bit, not liking being named for her hair. "Is Tock," she said irritably. "Ain't needs fer ta calls me 'red.'" She tended to get mad when people repeatedly called her that. Most commonly it came from lewd men who sought her 'exotic flavor,' which just pissed her off. She didn't mind being exotic, but she couldn't stand it when a man only expressed interest in her BECAUSE of that.

Except for when she was trying to get a man to buy her drinks. Then she'd play along until she got what she wanted.

"Aye, one in every crowd," she muttered, spitting on the ground. Thinking of trucking schmucks into buying her drinks made her a bit thirsty, and she had the urge to go track down a bar. "Oy, Shelia," she said, giving the girl a nod, "yer Bossman letcha off fer drinks o' somethin'? Seems like ya could use one, after what gettin' slapped on the arse by 'at pig..."

She thought about it for a second, then smirked and added, "Oy, mebbe some more schmucks down 'ere what needs ta been 'relieved' o' 'eir coins, aye?" She gave the girl a wink. Tock wasn't a thief, but she was more than willing to con a man out of his hard-earned money now and then...
