While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

SorryI'm sorry for the delay. I just went through a bad breakup that made me suicidal and extremely depressed. But I'm feeling kinda better now :)

Talulah turned bright red and giggled as Mordechai complimented her, not entirely used to being flirted with. "Thanks." she said with a smile. She watched him carefully as he said he was going to do more magic, jumping back for a second as he seemed to start breathing fire. Her eyes widened as she watched and she reached over to wipe sweat from his face when he finished. Being so close to a fire and to two fire mages who were showing off had made her hands sweaty inside the gloves and because of this her glove slipped off when she wiped sweat from his face. She squealed and exclaimed in her Pavi, "Stupid petching glove!" She quickly put her ungloved hand under her legs and grabbed the glove with the other hand. The way she had panicked almost made it seem like she was trying to hide something...

Magical Bonding (Closed)

"I'd love to share ideas and maneuvers with you. You seem quite accomplished in your art!" he said to the man, well, man-like creature. Mordechai really enjoyed any opportunity to revel in magical arts with others. It was the closest he ever came to bonding. It reminded him of early years with his brother before he had been tainted by evil.

It was as Mordechai pondered this that the glove fell from the girls hand and she quickly went to hide it from sight. This puzzled Mordechai. For a minute he thought of asking her about it, but then made eye contact with her and saw it must have been something personal. Perhaps she was scarred?

Mordechai turned back to the mage. "So tell me, you must have other tricks up your sleeves. Anything truly unique?" He asked anxiously. He really did relish in learning.

Out of the corner of his eyes Eridanus could see movement, and he understood that furtive gesture was meant to hide something. Shrugging, he did not feel the need to pry and he purposely turned his head away from the girl so as to grant her privacy while he addressed the man.

"I am not accomplished, Mister Zoltar. I am truly a beginner in the art, and I always seek to expand my understanding. I am afraid that this is all that I am capable of. As you can see," He showed the man the first page of his spell book, "This is all I have at the moment. I am beginning to craft another possible spell, though I admit to requiring expertise from a more experienced mage regarding this."

"What are your suggestions to prevent res from sputtering out so quickly? I have this idea of keeping most of the res untrasmuted, then triggering the whole lot together in a large explosion, but I cannot seem to keep the res from dissipating or automatically transmuting. Any advice regarding this?"

Any activity with Eri will be rather slow as well, but I am slowly readjusting back to "Mizahar life", so to speak, so do PM me if we have a thread that I left hanging and we'll talk.

OOCSorry for the short post but I don't think Talulah has much else to do here among two mages ^^;

Talulah wiped her hands on her pants then quickly put the gloves back on. She turned back to listen to their conversation. They were starting to talk about magic and she thought maybe she should take her leave but first she wanted to ask them something. "Excuse me, um is it possible for anyone to learn magic?" she asked shyly and timidly.

"Excuse me, um is it possible for anyone to learn magic?" The girl quaintly interrupted.

The question caught Mordechai off guard. Of course he remembered when he was first inducted into the study of reimancy, and how harsh it had been. Ceremonial scars were still left in the palms of his hands. It had been his brother who put him through it. He was determined to make Mordechai stronger so he could better serve him, but that day he made young Mordechai try to animate his father he ran away and never looked back.

"Yes, it is possible to learn and be trained in the magical arts." Mordechai said solemnly. "Though the process is far from painless." His voice had lost all signs of joy. These memories were hard for him.

"Perhaps you," he said to the man-creature, "can further explain the process for her."

It seemed that the man avoided his question, and he brooded upon it for a few short moments until he was addressed again.

"It is... you only require the right timing, the right people, and the right mindset."

With a slow shake of his head, he continued, "I will not dwell upon the specifics. Know only that each discipline of magic have their own way of induction, and each initiations vary in their process. Some may require in-depth understanding of the art and of oneself, while some may make you wish you were never born."

His own question forgotten, he turned to the girl, "Do you want to learn magic then, Talulah of the Diamond Clan? Why?"

Talulah bit her lip and shook her head, not sure how to answer at first. She looked down at her hands and sighed. "I'm probably a disappointment to my family. I'm terrible at shooting with a bow, I'm not that good hunting, and I'm not a stormwarden." She looked at her gloves and tugged the glove on her right hand off. She turned her hand and held it out so that they could see the curse mark overlapping her Windmarks. "I caused disaster and chaos and got this...I'm a horrible Drykas. I just want to make them proud of me somehow..." She said softly and looked up at the two mages, heart beating fast. These were the first people that she showed her curse mark since she left her home two years ago and she feared how they would react. "Will I get in trouble for having it and going on this quest?" She wondered to herself.
