Clyde thought a bit on her question? Did he in truth? He was not quite sure... It was not an easy question to answer...

"I am not sure yet... You have done nothing to prove untrustworthy yet... So for know I suppose I do trust you, at least more than most people... But trust is another thing we will have to develop, which is not an easy thing for me to have. Perhaps it is due to how I grew up or lived, but trusting someone is not easy for me, or natural."

Clyde smiled at her, bashing her own skills.

"You may not be the strongest, but neither are you weak. And I believe in time, you will grow to be strong and capable. If nothing else, out of necessity by being around me. As I require someone who will grow to be strong. Else you will not last long around me. For all my strength, the foes I attract tend to be all the stronger than those of average people."

His words so recently spoken, seemed to be filled with a new strength and conviction, that had been absent before. Perhaps this was the truth of Clyde, this bold spoken person, with strength in his words. Surely he did have conviction, and knew how to be bold and stick a choice. It was one reason he did not make decisions lightly.

But as he finished speaking this second bit, his eyes glanced down, and saw her bare flesh before his eyes, and he was distracted, and back to his speech style of before. He let out a cough, and was a bit saddened to see her pull her skirt back to its previous position. Reminded of how he had been acting unconsciously, he pulled his hand that had been wandering back to sit in his lap, a small blush coming to his face.

He was a bit surprised by her next words, she thought of him without fear? Perhaps then he was successful, in putting up his false fearless front necisitated by Ravok, while in reality, he was usually scared out of his whits. A fear he could not show, lest it got him killed for weakness. Smiling at her, he coughed again, and then decided to tell her a small fact he usually hid, as a sign of him trusting her. He had to start somewhere.

"Fear? I am completely filled with fear, though I hide it. You would not believe all the things I fear. I simply do not let my fear stop me. If I did, I likely would not get out of bed in the morning. No I think only a fool has no fear. A fool who wishes to die, and who does not fear even death, will be quickly greeted by her. It is my fears that push me. Out of my desperation to overcome them and not let them beat me, that I am all the stronger. My fear to die and need to live, pushes me, and forces me to do what it takes, so that I can continue living. A man with no fears, would not be as driven as I."

Done saying with his rant, Clyde looked away again, red coming to his face. He looked back, and began talking, only to cut himself off, and stop... Finally, after a bit of silence, he pushed on.

"I tell you that in confidence though. Perhaps I do trust you enough to keep it to yourself... And by keeping it, you will gain a bit more of my trust... In this city, and in my line of work, that information could prove dangerous to me. So I hope you do see well to keep it to yourself."

At her last words, a smile came back to Clyde's face, and he leaned over and kissed her once more. Glad to hear she did not find him distasteful, or would cringe at his touch. Though from her words, it did make him wonder a bit... She said she would not turn him away, if she was what he desired... But that did not tell him, whether or not she actually liked him, or was attracted to him... That thought, made him fall back into a more contemplative mindset.

"Not yet?" She asked arching her brow and staring at him through narrowed eyes. "Why Clyde Sullins, are you expecting a dagger in your back?" She giggled softly bringing her fingers to her lips. "If I had any weapons, I'm sure you've have noticed them by now, yes?" Kyra smiled, her hands moving up as she motioned for his gaze to follow and fall upon her figure once more. The skirt she wore was just as fitting as her corset, if she had any objects on her, they were very well hidden.

She watched him smile, as he seemed tickled by her confession. Of course she knew he was very confident in his skills, and he boasted about them more than once. Though she supposed that he had reason to be so cocky. Like Clyde, modesty wasn't something she cared for, she was simply being honest with him. She was a survivor at best, and life wasn't easy for her, especially without someone looking out for her. Although some may see her differently, Kyra wasn't a woman. She was still very much a girl trying to make since of a world she didn't even know existed until recently.

"The foes you attract? You sound as if you have men looking for you?" She watched him curious, leaning in even closer if he decided to look away from her again. He seemed to do that often, whether from being bashful or possibly uncomfortable with the discussion. However this didn't bother her much, she wanted to know everything about him. Again he had spoke of enemies but remained evasive as to who or where. "Are they really that powerful?"

Kyra was touched by his confession, and started to think on her own fears. There wasn't a lot that she was afraid of, although she was wary of the world around her. The biggest fear that she had, was rooted deeply, and of something she could never hope to control. Her darkness fear. "You can trust me, I won't repeat what you have told me here." She held his confidence, and to betray someone wasn't in her character. However he did say something else that caught her attention. "Your line of work? Tell me Clyde Sullins. What is your line of work?"

As he leaned closer and kissed her again, Kyra smiled and gently kissed him back. She held the kiss for a moment longer, pulling his lower lip between hers before releasing it. She leaned her head against his, her golden eyes lowered and almost closed and she spoke softly to him. "Have you ever been in love? What was she like?"

Raise your hand if your human[Kyra]

Postby Clyde Sullins on August 8th, 2012, 2:53 am

Clyde could not help but gaze back, as she teased him again, her hints of flirting not so subtle. As she presented herself again, trying to mess with him, and draw his gaze to her body. He looked her over, his face growing a bit red again, and shifted a bit in his seat.

"I was not saying that... It is just well... As I said, I have had others I thought I could trust, who in the end were not trustworthy. Perhaps that is part of why I have such issues trusting people. I am not that easy, to gain the trust of. I am usually a bit stingy at doling out trust, lest it comes back to harm me."

Passing on to the next subject, she once more took something he said in an unintended way. He had not meant it as if he was a hunted man.

"I suppose I have no more enemies than you or other people do. But everyone has obstacles, and issues, that fall into my path. And for my skill, those obstacles tend to be much larger, and thus need all the more skill and work to overcome. I simply set the bar higher I suppose."

Then on to her next question. She seemed to have a never-ending supply of them. What exactly would he call his line of work?

"Well, for one, you could say my job is being a mage. Doing and learning magic. But my goal really, is to find a position in this city, to one day be a Paladin of the Ebonstryfe, or some other such thing equivalent. Which of course, will take all the skills I can muster, and people backing me up. Though being a mage, tends to attract obstacles. It is not an easy path to tread."

As they kissed, she became a bit more affectionate, returning his kiss, and being a bit playful with it. But love? How did he answer that? He did not really have an answer...

"I don't think I have ever really been in love... I have never had the opportunity for it... Most people I have tried to get close to, ended up not being trustworthy, or being forced away. That does not really leave much room for love. I am not even sure if I would know if it happened..."

But with all of these questions, Clyde had been being played with by Kyra the entire time. Teased and led along. All of that was building up, to make Clyde a bit flustered. Squirming a bit in his seat, he leaned forward, and gave her another kiss, this one with more force than the others, deeper. Breaking apart, he brought his face to her ear, and spoke quietly into it...

"Perhaps we could head off, and finish this conversation elsewhere... I still have not properly seen the inside of your home... I might like a tour... And if we went there, we could be together, alone..."

Kyra arched a brow towards him as he continued to be evasive. He said a lot about himself, while still hiding much and saying little to nothing about his past. She was becoming less intrigued by this mystery and more bored as time passed. She asked a lot of question, but would also give as many answers, if someone were to ask her. She had a building interest in him, that much was clear, but how far that interest would grow, and what it would lead to would only be revealed in time.

"You say that it's hard for you to trust people, but you seem to trust me easy enough. Am I so different?" Clyde made assumptions, and some she understood, while others weren't quite clear. She didn't have enemies as he spoke of, and didn't think of it in terms much. There was unfinished business that she had, however that to her was more of something she felt she had to do.

"You're going to join the Ebonstryfe?" Her golden eyes brightened a bit, with a renewed interest. Kyra didn't know anyone personally who were a part of the stryfe, and had spent some of her time trying to avoid their detection. They hadn't been very serious crimes, although constant offenses would have surly landed her in trouble. "Clyde Sullins..a member of the Ebonstryfe...fascinating."

He kissed her once again, as he had done more than a few times since they arrived. He must have enjoyed the taste of the kelvic's lips very much as he continued to sample them. Perhaps he was looking for more than just a sample, as he asked her to take him back to her room where they could be alone. The kiss had been stronger, deeper and she could feel his excitement, the tremor in his lips as he pulled away.

Kyra smiled as she stared into his eyes. It was obvious that he had tired of her questions and wanted to attempt a different sort of communication with her. "If you like.." She looked around the room again, noticing that there were many people also leaving the bar. The day was gone now and most were heading home or to some other place. "Let's go. I will show you my room, and perhaps then you can show me yours?" She said as she stood and wrapped her cloak around her shoulders again.

Raise your hand if your human[Kyra]

Postby Clyde Sullins on August 10th, 2012, 3:45 am

Clyde suddenly grew a bit more serious, mulling over her words... He supposed it was true he was trusting her to an extent, but he was still holding a lot back... Not giving her his full trust... Not showing everything... He was far to wary, to do so after so short a time...

"I would not say I trust you explicitly... But to a point I do... And since you have never shown any reason to distrust you... Well, it makes it a bit easier... But you have not quite yet gained my full trust... That will take time. I am not an open book, to be perused and examined. I keep much locked away only to myself."

He noticed the interest in her eyes, as he mentioned his goals, of joining the Stryfe, and becoming a member... It did not seem to be a negative interest, so he assumed she was not against it... Perhaps even liked the idea of him having this goal... Though that was just guesswork, he did not know her well enough, and she had not revealed enough for him to observe, to know that for sure, even if he wished it.

"It is one of my plans. I aim to be a paladin. They have more power than a average member, and a bit more leeway to do there tasks to a point as they see fit. Less hindered so to speak. Perhaps if I prove myself, it will not take to long to reach that level. And once there... Well there are always further goals... But yes, it is one of my more immediate goals I am working for, for myself."

And then on to other things... Things his body was leaning towards, arguing towards, and slowly gaining strength. One could only hinder their physical needs and desires for so long...

"Yes... I would like... I would like that alot... You show my yours... And perhaps another time, I could show you mine..."

Putting down a single sm, which was a bit more than enough to pay for their two drinks, he rose from the table, taking his staff with him.

He watched as she put on her cloak, and then wrapped his arm through hers, interlocking them, and smiled, beginning to walk towards the door. Once outside, he nodded, and let her take the lead.

"It is your house, I suppose you should bring us there. Lead on..."

Raise your hand if your human[Kyra]

Kyra left the bar arm in arm with Clyde as they set out for her home. She gave him a quizzical look when he asked her to lead the way, when he had found her home more than once on his own. She shrugged it off as just being Clyde. By this time she had grown a bit more used to the way that he spoke and while sometimes he made sense, others he didn't. However she did understand what he said to her just before they left the bar.

He trusted her as he said, but not explicitly. Which in not so many cryptic words, meant that he trusted her enough to warm his bed, but not for anything closer or more serious. Even so to her this mattered little, although she did wonder why human's made such distinctions between the company they kept. They continued down the narrow streets heading back to her place. It was dark now, and the moon's glow seemed to shine dimly upon them.

The walk back to her place was slow, due to Clyde locking his arms into hers. But there was no rush, darkness had not to long fallen, and Kyra would still be awake for hours until the sun rose again. Once they made it back to the building where she rented a room, she led him inside and down the corridor to where she lived. Kyra glanced at him for a tick and removed her arm as she leaned forward to unlock her door. "Come in.."

She stepped into the room, allowing Clyde to follow her. Inside the room was mostly dark save for the single lantern that she had lit earlier. Against the fall wall, items that belonged to Marcelo rested in a chair and in a chest on the floor. The wardrobe was mostly Kyra's and her brush and other daily items rested on the table. "It's not much to look at I suppose...Is your place like this?" Again she removed her cloak and laid it across the chair as she moved further into the room.

Raise your hand if your human[Kyra]

Postby Clyde Sullins on August 11th, 2012, 6:11 pm

Clyde simply smiled at Kyra, not reading her questioning glare for what it was. Sometimes even he was not sure why he chose what he did. Why he did what he did. He assumed he had some sort of logic behind it, controlling him, but even he sometime lost track of it in the whirl of thoughts and confusion that was his mind.

Skipping from one topic to another, one spot of focus to another, mulling over something random from a few days ago in his head, some things working over in the background without any conscious effort. His mind certainly worked in a confused chaotic jumble, but still somehow came to a conclusion and a choice at the end.

In the end, his choices rung with a clarity, a sense of logic, to him. In his mind, they were the only choice he could have made, the only one that made sense. It was everyone else choices that so befuddled him. Perhaps his motives, or something else about him, was different in some way, which made him do as he did. He was not really sure... The more he thought upon it, the more confused he became. At times his logic and choices lined up with others... But more often than not, they differed.

When speaking of trust, really Clyde had meant something different, to the conclusion Kyra came to. But as he had no way of knowing she had drawn this wrong conclusion, he could not correct her. Perhaps that was another oddity of his thoughts and words, from other more normal people. Other people saying the same thing, might have meant the conclusion Kyra came to. While Clyde meant something closer to what he had said. That in itself was an oddity, that he often meant what he said, instead of the subtext people often read from a persons words to get a different meaning.

Now that the light had fallen, and things had become a bit dimmer, he relied a bit more on Kyra to guide him, than before. Perhaps that had factored into the logic behind the choice, that her sight was better, and so could more easily see and navigate at night.

As she led him in, Clyde took a cursory look around, examining it. It was a bit hard to see, as the only light was a single lantern. Clyde shut the door behind him, letting off a click, as the door closed, and turned back to Kyra.

"My room is a bit more simple. But then I don't own the place, I rent. I am saving up. But soon, perhaps in a season or so, I will have a grand place to live in. Once some certain proceeds have been worked out, and construction has begun. I will have to show you it, once it is all done. It should be quite nice and comfortable."

Clyde took off the robes he wore, and set them across the chair, along with Kyra's cloak. He looked around, taking in the little bits of things around, and walking up close to Kyra. He settled in behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist, and settling his chin on her shoulder, pulling her up close. Then he let one hand wander down, to settle were her corset met her skirt, and let his fingertips tease there way in, to brush at the exposed skin there.

"But this place is nice enough really... I have never been one to feel a need for fancy places. The people who inhabit it, are much more important than the buildings..."

"I believe that's true." Kyra didn't care for the look of the room much anymore. Without her friend living there with her, the place was nothing more than a shelter. As far as the look and design of the place, it was very simple. Nothing like the fancy home she grew up in the Noble District. Her room there was bigger than the one they stood in, and the furniture was more classy.

Kyra liked the designs and look of the place, and the long halls that she raced through for fun. There was the music room, in which she attempted to learn to play the organ and flute. The art room where she watched her mother paint many pictures, and even the dim where she always found the butler enjoying tea on his breaks. Still, without her family, even that place would have been meaningless.

Kyra leaned back into his arms more, her on arms loose at her sides. She tilted her head, looking down at his fingers as they touched her bare skin. She giggled softly as it tickled her, and slowly turned her body into his arms to look at him. "I suppose it's not much of a tour. Is there anything else that you'd like to see?" Reaching up, she wrapped her arms around his neck, lifting herself onto the tips of her toes as she kissed him gently. Breaking the kiss, she stared into his eyes and purred softly. "Sit down and relax."

She pulled away from him, taking his hand and leading him to the bed. Kyra moved to the far side, where the shadows were thicker and shoved him backwards onto the bed. She watched him a bit to see how he reacted to her jovial nature, then turned to light a second lantern. With the addition of the second lantern, the room became lighter and would cause less strain on his eyes. Kyra then returned to the bed and slowly crawled into his lap. She looked him over and smiled again."Your face is red. Do I make you nervous Cylde Sullins?"

Raise your hand if your human[Kyra]

Postby Clyde Sullins on August 13th, 2012, 8:33 pm

Kyra let out a coyish giggle, as his fingers brushed her skin. She usually did seem playful, and was generally a lot more so than Clyde. He was usually more serious, and focused on the task at hand... But even he sometimes kicked back a bit, when he had some down time...

Usually though he just did not have the time to do so. Was far to busy, working, studying, practicing, trying to learn some new technique, or skill... Perhaps her more laid back and playful nature, would be a good influence on Clyde.

Smiling back, and his voice a bit playful, he looked her over once, pausing for a moment on her corset, still tied tight...

"Oh, I could think of a thing or two I would not mind seeing... Of which you could give me a short tour..."

She came up to him, encircling his neck, nearly out of her reach and forcing her to her tiptoes, and to pull him down to her face, bringing him down into a kiss.

Leading him over to the bed, she playfully pushed him onto it, to which he cooperated and flopped down. If he had wanted to, he could have fought it, since she would be hard pressed with her small size to push him down, but playing along, he smiled, blushing a bit, and let her.

He blushed even more as she crawled to him, and plopped onto his lap. He brought one hand to her rear, gently squeezing though her skirt, and bringing his other hand to her back, brushing his hand up the back of her corset, trying to figure out how it was undone... Clasps? Knots untied? He was a bit unfamiliar with such things, and was pretty sure different ones were undone differently...

"Maybe a bit nervous... But I think I can handle it... "

He came in close, and gave her another kiss, then brought his lips down to caress her neck, as his fingers wandered, trying to undo her backing.

"There is no need to be nervous, it's not as if I plan to kill you." She watched his expression closely, her lips twisting upward a bit. She could still remember that day when they met in the wild. He had been wary of her, and even threatened to kill her with his spike made of dirt. He since came to call upon her twice, and now found himself in her home. If she had really wanted to kill him that day, not so long ago, there wasn't a better time then now. Even if he was a powerful mage, there was no way he'd have time to work his magic before she slit his throat.

However that wasn't the case, she hadn't meant to kill him on that day, nor did she want to as she rested in his lap. She could feel his hand on her rear and imagined that he had wanted to do that earlier when they were in the bar. She was still amused at the fact that, someone with so much power was so shy.

As he kissed her, she returned it gently, deciding this time not to bite him. Turning her head, she closed her eyes, shivering a bit as he kissed at her neck. Kyra giggled softly, feeling his inexperienced hands fumbling at the back of her corset. Reaching behind her, she simply slipped her hands beneath his, her eyes locked into his as she unfastened the clasps.

"Is this what you wanted to see?" She said softly, as she slowly pulled the back open, lifting and pulling the corset away from her body. The garment hit the floor with a soft thumb, and Kyra moved her hands to her chilled breast, before she dropped her arms and allowed him to look upon her naked form. "Are you disappointed?" She asked teasing him further. Kyra was well aware that humans enjoyed the sight of her, and Clyde had proven no different.

With the extra light emanating from the second lantern, her body was brought into it's light. The warming light covered her pale skin, and added a golden glow.
