Take your time posting. Good luck with the Sci-Fi site too. It's not exactly my favorite genre (genre is right...right?) but there's definitely a lot to work with. Some help afterward is appreciated, of course!
Alright troops, I have a few words for you otherwise.
1) I've been busy.
I'll be leaving for uni this Friday I think...? I don't know my own arrival date, so pro. My point being is that I'm busy. I've been checking Schism daily to keep up with posts. Development is at a stand still as I transfer working drafts/data over. All PCs are basically on ice until the weekend comes and I'm settled.
The following week (this coming), I might also be absent a wee bit. It's not permanent (or at least I hope it won't be. O.o). I want to take the time to organize my own schedule to keep up with my priority school work, then mod work, then PCs, etc. Time management was never my A game, but I plan to get it right this time (or at least as close as possible). If at any time you need me dearly, send me a PM, and give me a week max to get to it. If nothing comes, check with Rage or Cayenne and they'll be sure to check on me.
Things are looking pretty good though. I am gathing last minute materials and items I want to take. Dorm looks fine. It's time for the deep breaths so I don't psych myself out. So the HS lovelies who play Miza, and are reading this... START APPLICATIONS (college, university, scholarship, grants). DO NOT WAIT. It's a big mistake I made because I had no idea what was going on. DON'T DO IT! xD
2) The end of Summer is drawing near.
There is a to-do list for all of us. Before you do the following come the turn of the season:
- Deduct seasonal expenses/add AWARDED wages
- Start/post placeholder threads AS NECESSARY.
- Aim to tie up, or begin bringing active threads from summer to a close.
On wages/deductions: I didn't set up jobs or a job location yet. Most of us in Zinrah are dirt poor as it is. You're living in a cave, so your expenses will be
poor unless you've lived a sercret glamour life we don't know about.
This also means no one has had income yet. I'm sorry about that, but your SP wages will carry you through summer just fine. We're going to try to fix that as a priority for the coming season. Remember, you cannot, CANNOT, add wages either unless awarded by myself of Cayenne. Seeing we don't have anything up, no need to worry about that at the immediate moment.
On placeholders: If you ever look at Sunberth, you'll see what not to do with placeholders. The season was drawing to an end at one point, so I made PHs for my entire Pit Prep series with Valorae. I've gotten through...five or six of twenty+. It's not the best idea. It works for her story and the intensive training, but generally speaking not a good idea. That's my boo-boo, Sunberth. I'm sorry. I'm working on her, I promise.
Placeholders are those last minute threads you put up when the season's coming to an end and you run out of time. It happens to the best of us. This might be a repeat of info for some of you, bare with me. If there was an event in the calendar you wanted to parttake in, but forgot, put up a PH. My request on PHs: try to cut yourself off at five if you're feeling brave, have a thread summary so I know what it's there for, and include some text in your first post. It doesn't need to be a huge one, but make sure it's an active thread, not a "PH for Summer 512. I'll get this later." No, no, no, no, no! I did that one too, sorry, my boo-boo, Sunberth... D:
On active threads: We try to keep up with Mizahar's pace. That's a funny thing to say when time is so fluid and threads can carry on. This generally applies to solos in my book. You don't want to drag behind. Similarly, if another PC is trying to clean up for the season, aim to help him or her. We have a new season coming, which means a new calendar, hopefully a new seasonal challenge for Zinrah (woop, woop!), and of course the new stories it will all bring.
We know development is a WIP. I'm busy, you're busy, we're getting there. Have no fear... For those with modded threads or threads with my PCs, excuse my delay. You've already been informed of my situation. We're probably going to carry into the next season, but I'd like to be "cleaned up" by the end of September.

Well, I did a little, but it's nearly all tanned now.
