It was surprising, how this strange, cold city was impacting on the young girl. In just a day, Buni went from being open and happy, ready for adventure, shining girl, to scared, constantly shivering creature that gets frightened from the lightest touch. The familiarity of the grey streets and the loud people didn't help at all. Even though the girl had never stepped in Ravok before, everything brought blurry memories from her childhood, including the yelling people, standing behind tables covered with food and different items and the sad faces of the colared children, selled in the trade area. The girl was stepping slowly trought the crowd, trying to avoid the places where the people were pushing eachother, knowing how dangerous that could be for her thin, glass-like bones. Her eyes, illuminating with the coldness of her fears, reflecting the mess of thoughts and fears in her head, were wandering around, looking at the peoples faces, not paying much attention to their looks, but more to their cold eyes. Almost everyone had cold eyes filled with cruelty, exept of those whos eyes she couldn't see, due to the fact that they walked with meekly lowered heads and eyes, pinned to the ground. Buni tried to distract herself from the running trought her mind memories and blurry pictures, and stepped to a table with fresh fruits. She took a deep breath and the scent of apples made her smile. Light, insecure, but still smile. Her gracefull thin fingers pointed at the apple and she asked the man behind the table with soft voice. ' How much for this? ' The man behind the table looked at the girl strangely, sliding his eyes from her head to her toes and answered coldly. ' One silver mizas. ' Buni nodded her head lightly, causing her heavy, reddish curls to scatter over her shoulders, and gracefully gave the men one silver mizas, taking a green apple from the table. She faked a wider smile and said little louder, walking away. ' Have a nice day. ' The man stared at her as she left, surprised of the manners of the strange girl... And yes, she looked very strange in the crowd of dressed in black people. She was without her cloak on and her pale, bare back was exposed from her snow white, backless dress and her shoulder blades were sticking out grotesquely, marked with three long, pink scars, going across her back. Her gracefull movements made her stand out of the other, heavily walking people. The girl stepped foreward, rolling the apple in her hands, looking around, feeling slightly calmer since her mind was busy, enjoying the sweet smell of the apple in her hands. Her sheer, hardly achieved happiness just melted away, like an ice cube under burning sun, leaving her terrified. The loud words of a slave, standing behind other table, swirled in the air, reaching the girls ears, widening her crystal blue eyes. ' Several kelvic pups for sale, amazingly fast learners, wonderful pets, great slaves, strong and obedient, and for you ladies, several cute ones to pick from! ' The human stared at the naked kelvics, breathless. One of them caught Bunis eyes. It was girl, seeming the same age as the frightened young woman, looking at them. The only thing that Buni could think of, was that she could be on the girls place... The human couldn't take her eyes off the sad kelvics face. The fear in the slaves eyes send freezing chills up Buni' spine, making her shiver. The picture in her head was getting clear... The girl saw herself on the place of the female kelvic... Her knees shivered and she was on the edge to drop onto the ground, but somehow she managed to stay on place, staring at the poor kelvics infront of her. |

It was painful for the girl to watch... What kind of person would do this to children?? Her eyes filled with tears. It wasn't fair. She saw the clean innocence in the sad kelvics eyes. They didn't deserve any of this. The human was about to leave, knowing that it won't be much untill she breaks down to her kneese, under the sight of the slaves pain, but something stopped her. Little girl with orange colored hair caught her eyes. The girl was holding two crates filled with fruits. At first, the strange color of the girls hair captured the humans attention but then, she realised what the girl was doing. The orange haired girl stepped to the kelvics and put the crates infront of them with soft smile of exitment. Buni's eyes softened, seeing the act of kindness. She felt relieved in a way... Relieved that there was good people as well in Ravok. A moment later, the yelling of the slaver who selled the kelvics, pulled Buni out of her thoughts. "Foolish girl! I should make you pay for all of them, you have spoiled their meals and now they are distracted! You will surely make them believe that they can get whatever they wish!" Buni frowned and made a step forward, seeing how the slaver pulled the orange haired girl by the hand yelling at her. The human was on the edge to run to them, trying to help the other girl but apperantly, the girl didn't need help. Buni saw how the other girl bit the slavers hand. Her blue eyes blurred lightly at the sight of blood but the picture infront of her didn't let her turn her eyes away. At first, Buni thought that the orange haired girl was human like her, but now... Strangely, she wasn't scared... She was surprised and confused, but not scared. A sudden urge to actually meet the girl, brough the human to make another step. "Wouldn't you like to have some too?" Buni knew the girl wasn't asking her, but felt strange... It was fascinating how these children had almost nothing, but were still ready to share the little food they had. The humans blue eyes moved from the orange haired girl, sitting amongst the kelvics, to the apple in her own hands. She wanned to help... Yes, she was starving, but somehow, it didn't matter. With small, quiet steps, Buni moved to the kelvics and moved her hand forward, letting the apple roll in one of the crates. She smiled softly at the kelvics. For first time in days, she actually smiled. Big, warm smile, not just a shadow of one. Her shining blue eyes were filled with warmth and promises she couldn't keep, but hoped to give the kelvics faith. She wished she had more money... Money could buy freedom for these children, but at the moment money were the things that she lacked. Buni shook her head lightly, not wanting to think about bad things in the moment, causing her reddish curls to bounce gently around her pale face. She made a step back and smiled at the girl with the orange hair. She felt the sheer happiness from earlier, filling her heart. Buni was grateful. Grateful that she got the chance to help. Although a apple wasn't very much, the girl hoped it made one of the kelvics happier. |

It felt really nice helping others. Buni was enjoying the feeling when she noticed the orange haired girl, searching for something in her bag. Soon enough the girl was stepping closer to her holding three fruits. Buni couldn't take them, she would feel bad if she took others food. Soft smile appeared on her lips, showing how thankful she was for the offered gift, but shook her head lightly, preparing to refuse to take the fruits when she heard the yelling of the slaver. She saw the girl, turning head to the slaver and felt how she pushed the fruits in her hands, stepping to the man. "Still nothing to say?! How about this then? Just give me your bag with everything in it and your hair pin and we might just call it even?" Buni frowned. How could he say that this was even. The human watched widen eyed how the girl holded her bag out to the man. It was strange. Any other would fight and scream, but this girl, seemed like her only desire is to get away from the problems caused by the slaver. Buni putted the fruits in her own bag with the intention of giving them back to the orange haired girl, stepping slowly towards her. The humans eyes were concentrated on the slavers face. She noticed the satisvaction and shivered lightly. In the next moment she saw him grab the other girls arm. "Or perhaps I'll sell you off since you don't seem to have any parents near to claim you." Buni saw him pull the tunic of the girl and almost screamed as he started trying to remove her shirt aswell but the voice of one of the kelvics stopped her. She turned her eyes to the group of snarling children and something in her broke. The familiarity of the scene hitted hir with the power of her darkest and most painful memories, that stayed buried deep in her mind untill this very moment. Dazed with the sudden blurr in her head, the human didn't saw the other girl, biting into the slavers hand . She turned her head to them, just to see how the girl turned into a bat, leaving the man to crash on the ground while trying to catch her. Buni traced the way of the bat to the top of one of the buildings and frowned lightly. So the girl was kelvic... That explained why she was so worried for the children... The human girl stepped forward, looking at the top of the building still and tripped, falling on the ground, centimeters from the slaver. Her reddish curls scattered around her face, bouncing infront of her terrified eyes. She tried to stand as fast as she could, but the slaver, whom managed to get up before her, clenche her wrist, pulling her up. "Hmm... Not bad... Not a kelvic but i could get pretty good money for those eyes." He wasn't squeezing her wrist hard enough to break her bones but it was hard enough for Buni to be sure that it will cause very, very bad bruise. She tried to get away and screamed but her draged her back to his table. She wanted to fight but she was too weak to. She was just a human, she wasn't like the orange haired girl. "Stop, please!" Buni had no other option exept to beg as her tried to pull down the shoulder of her dress. It was like her biggest fears came true... and the worst part was that she felt like this isn't the first time when this was happening. She had no memories of being slave or being selled either but everything was so familiar and... frightening. |

It was almost surrealistic. The rude fingers leaving scratches and traces of redness on the girls skin, the snarling of the kelvic children... It was like dream... a nightmare. Buni was screaming and begging for help, but nobody seemed to care enough to look at her. The slaver angrily holded her body in place, pulling her dress down, exposing her pale skin. She felt the hottness of her own tears, rolling down her cheeks and squeezed eyes, trying to hide from the pain, but it was just too much to bear. Buni was on the edge of giving up, when she heard the voice of a girl. "Sir, sir! That's...my master's consort!" Her body shivered as the human wondered who was she and why would she tell such a lie, but in a secound, the slaver suddenly let go of her body and pushed her lightly at the woman who saved her. Buni stumbled and fell on her knees in the girls feet, shivering and staring at the ground in shock. Her half naked body, covered with red spots and crimson scratches, was shivering uncontrollable as she wrapped her skinny arms around herself. Her white dresswas soiled and covered in blood stains left there by the slaver. The thought that someone almost put a collar around her neck was terrifying her. Leaving her crying and breathless. Buni felt dirty... Every inch of her exposed, white skin was hurting. The girls body kept shivering as the thought that she almost lost her freedom over nothing, ran trought her mind. Her whole being exuded fear. She wanted to look up and thank to the girl that saved her, but the girls body just refused to move. She wasn't sure why this girl, she had never met before risked being caught lying, just to help her, but Buni was grateful. With every try to move, her trembling body started aching. Like always happened, the panic made her body go numb and the only thing Buni was able to do was to just kneel there, shivering and crying softly. OOCYey! More people, more fun ^_^ I'm really sorry for writing that little but i had really little time and i didn't wanned to leave this without a reply |
