Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

You know at times the term "accident prone" takes on a whole new meaning. In Caehli's case it always does, many if not all of her "accidents" could have been prevented if she hadn't done things without thinking. Whats the phrase? "Look before you leap" takes on a whole different context . In this case it takes on quite a literal meaning.

There Caehli stood in front of The Sanctuary, to be frank she looked like hell.Bruises, scrapes and dirt covered her body and a very pleasant gash, oozing blood was right above Caehli's brow. She had a torn shawl grasped in her fist and a very perplexed look on her face. Yeah she was a sight for sore eyes, literally.

Set on a wild Shawl Chase (Serrif)

Morning fell as usual and Serrif did as he usually did. A morning run some dagger practice then off to make medicine and the likes. Even though summer was coming to an end the morning sun was still as ruthless as ever and he felt at times that he was being cooked by it more than anything else. Seemed his body had gotten used to being absurdly cold, so he became warm natured. But now that he was somewhere warm he found himself a little more uncomfortable than usual. But winter was around the corner, and he liked the cold.

Mornings here were absolutely beautiful; every day was new. His to make of it what he could. With a smile he walked from his morning routine toward the clinic…His eyes darting around to see what all as going on. There was almost always movement at all hours here. Kavala would keep herself up all hours of the day and night if she could find a way to keep herself aware for that period of time and not suffer sleep deprivation.

However he had retired early last night so waking up before the sun was not a burden on his body. He loved watching the sky come alight with fire; chasing away the darkness that held the land in its grasp. This morning routine had become quite commonplace to him now; his body was becoming more and more used to it. So when something was off, no matter how small his mind noticed it. And such was how his awareness shifted to a lone figure standing outside the Sanctuary walls.

Startled at first he had to calm himself down, We run a clinic she may need help. But how she had made it all the way to the Sanctuary in her condition…that puzzled him. His attention shifted from his daily routine to the issue at hand.

“Do you need medical attention?” His question was direct, as he rushed toward her. He made an effort not to approach too fast that would startle her, but she looked to be in an urgent situation of some kind. What had happened to her and why was she gripping that shawl in her hand….

“Are you ok?” He questioned again pressing her; but as he got closer he knew the answer. She was injured and likely needed help even if she didn’t know it right now.

Set on a wild Shawl Chase (Serrif)

A big tall man rushed over to Caehli. He seemed happy to help if not anxious! Man the people at The Sanctuary sure were attentive and kind! Caehli smiled up at him and brushed the sweat off her brow, oh wait that was blood... However she wanted to focus on her real issue at hand.

" Um...I'm okay, just a little roughed up...Nothin' some rest and a bandage or two won't fix!" Caehli assured mindlessly eyeing the flesh wound on her arm, to her it was a simple scrape but in truth it was a little more complicated than that. Her eyes met his own again grinning widely like an idiot. "I'm Caehli by the way! Who're you?" eyes wide with curiosity. Although her interest was authentic, Caehli was distracted. Before he could answer her brain had flitted to other subjects.

"You see I know Elem! He mentioned the Sanctuary! You guys know how to sew right, being medically trained n' all? " Caehli for the first time frowned and presented the shawl in her hands. Beautiful and deep purple, akin to her Clan as a Drykas. However it was torn down the middle...

"Can I borrow a needle and thread please?" Caehli said rather anxiously, clearly more upset about a piece of cloth rather her state of health. "It won't take long really and I'll be out of your hair so you can get on with your day!" Caehli assured, the last thing she wanted to do was cause any trouble.

Her face then lightened with cognizance."I asked for your name didn't I?" A warm but sheepish smile playing on her lips again. "Forgive me I am so scatter brained!" Caehli laughed lightly. It might've been the blood loss or torn shawl, but Caehli was overly chipper, if not hysterical.

“A little roughed up?” He questioned her as he laid a helping hand across her back to support her some just incase something unexpected happened. He never knew when someone was going to just pass out on him. And it was good to offer a little support when escorting her to the clinic.

“I’m Serrif, I’ll be treating you. Please, come with me.” Not like she had any real say in it now that he was going to escort her to the clinic and see what he could do for her.

“You can borrow whatever you want after I tend to you. The shawl can wait.”
Her attitude and general demeanor told him that she may be a little more injured than she was letting on.

Serrif would escort her to the clinic and gently set her on one of the tables in the middle of the room. This was where all the magic happened here. But for now he was more interested on general healing than anything else. Her wounds needed to be cleaned and dressed. Which would be relatively easy for him.

“Let’s start with the basics, close your eyes for a moment Caehli.” If she did as he asked he would lay a hand gently on the nape of her neck and then close his own.

Immediately with that skin contact her body would begin to relax, thanks to his Konti gift. It would soothe her wild spirit and anchor her mind some. Then Serrif brought forth Rak’keli’s healing to her. Pouring the healing energy into her body. Her muscles would feel somewhat renewed, her wounds would all sterilize almost as if by magic. The lighter wounds would heal up perfectly, and any mere scrapes would be as if they never happened. They didn’t even leave any scars, the pain just melted away. However any more serious wounds would merely be sterilized, they would require a little more work on his behalf.

After a few moments he opened his eyes again and nodded. “That should be a little better.” He would look her over for any of the more stubborn wounds and dress them accordingly.

“Do you have any injuries left?” She knew her body better than he did so he would ask her for her status.

“A little roughed up?”
Caehli tried to keep a straight face and nod urgently but instead found herself looking at her feet. "Okay maybe I might need a couple stitches...here or there". Her eyes trained on her feet she let the man lead her into the clinic.

It was rather impressive. Caehli had never been into a real clinic before, the closest thing to a doctor she had among her clan was a midwife. Which was strangely odd since death was common among the Drykas."Ah it's nice to meet you Serrif" She said briefly before beginning her ogling.

Caehli oohed and aahed at the place, jaw almost detached from mouth.
"Wooow this is so cool! Your and Elem's job must be so fun and exciting" She remarked, most likely being one of the Sanctuary's rather stressful patients as opposed to fun.

“You can borrow whatever you want after I tend to you. The shawl can wait.”
Caehli frowned for a moment, "But this is important..." she grumbled under her breath, ever the impatient one. Ever the girl who needed to get her priorities straight. However she did not resist, Serrif told her she could borrow some sewing supplies after all.

They came to a table where she was set on. The ground now far from reach, Caehli casually swung her legs for a moment. Before putting a hand against the table, bracing herself. She felt a little sleepy...perhaps she needed a little more than rest after this.

“Let’s start with the basics, close your eyes for a moment Caehli.” Caehli didn't object rather grateful, closing her eyes felt rather soothing. She jumped only for a moment, at the feeling of his hand placed on the back of her neck. Only because it surprised her really.

All of a sudden, like magic Caehli started to feel rather calm. All her thoughts that were scattered were now almost filed and rather clear. The meditative state was almost like a nap. Then a sort of warmth spread from chest to fingertips and toes. Her muscles relaxed, no longer achey. The cuts and scrapes no longer had such a bitter sting or throbbing. Some almost felt like they disappeared or something. The pain was gone...

Caehli's eyes fluttered open, like she had awoken from a long slumber. However she was more clear and level headed than before. She only nodded at Serrif's affirmation. She stared at him amazed, her jaw clenched. Rather so she wouldn't gawk rudely. Serrif certainly was impressive if not...magical.

“Do you have any injuries left?”
Rather resisting very flippantly like she had before, she indicated to her side mutely. Which felt rather fine, but Caehli remembered that it throbbed the most, and heard a distinct pop after the incident. "It feels...out of place. There's a sorta sharp pain..." she trailed off, unsure how to put it.Hoping it didn't confuse poor Serrif, due to her aloofness.

Then her curiosity dominated tranquility. Well it was nice while it lasted.
"How did you do that? Are you a mage or something? Are all of the doctor's here mages ? Oh...and could we maybe please please please find a needle and thread" Caehli said all in one breath. She was more interested in Serrif and his Djed powers rather her injuries, and completely forgot all tact in doing so.

This was a rather normal occurrence to him, the way patients both animal and human acted when he touched them. Rhy had put it into words the best when she said he had honey hands. It was endearing and a phrase he did not mind at all. Caehli had healed up nicely, none of the wounds needed immediate attention it just seemed like they were a multitude of more shallow wounds that all just needed general tending to. But now that he had them under control they wouldn’t even leave scars. However, her side left something else to be considered.

“It may be out of the joint or something else.” Serrif stated as he gently laid her back on the table so he could feel it fully.

His trained hands lowered her to a comfortable laying position as he nodded. “Just let me know if you feel any sharp pain or the likes.” That was important because there could be something much worse going on. But he wouldn’t know until he laid hands on her and tried to feel what was going on.

Gently he touched her with just fingertips, allowing his gift to seep into her. It would again start at the point of skin on skin contact and then wash through her outward from that place. He felt around her hip gently trying to get an understanding for what she may be facing. She was injured still yes, but he knew well that she would need a little time for the pain to subside before he sent her on the way; even if it was a simple joint being popped out of place.

However getting it back in would still be somewhat painful. But the pain would subside easily enough, and allow her to have a full range of motion. He noticed that her hip looked slightly strange so he compared it to her other hip joint area. Yes, it looked like it was indeed popped out. The pain would likely not be as bad especially since his Konti gift was flowing well through her now. Calming her active nerves. But there was work to be done.

“It appears that it is out of joint.” He stated as he moved to get a few things before he continued.

He grabbed a clean white rag and rolled it up so she could place it in her mouth. “Place this in your mouth between your teeth so you don’t accidentally bite though your tongue from the pain. I don’t want you injuring that smile you know.” He handed her the rolled up rag and then nodded.

“There will be a little pain, but it will subside.” He prepared himself for the setting of the joint and focused gently pouring Rak’keli’s gift into her as he did so. Readying her body for the shock of pain…which would be significantly less than Serrif was likely guessing at. He however did not know her pain tolerance.

He had both his hands on her leg. One on her upper thigh and the other below it on her inner leg just above her knee. It might be considered somewhat sensual if it wasn’t for medical reasons. He summoned now his strength and gave her a good wrenching to reset the joint in place. And he heard an audible POP as the joint settled back in. There had to be pain associated with this movement, so he kept his hands on her to dull the pain significantly until she removed the rag from her mouth and spoke to him.

Caehli reclined back on the table and tried her best not to panic. She had plenty of scrapes and bruises in her time but never a joint out of place. She smiled weakly before she was put under that sorta meditative spell, her worries had melted away for a moment.

After Serrif's conclusion that it indeed had been out of place she just shrugged lightly, a gentle smile playing on her lips. She wasn't necessarily amused by this information but certainly calm about it.When Serrif handed her the gauze she promptly clamped it in her mouth and tried to lie still. She only nodded at his warning of pain. He placed both hands on her legs and Caehli braced herself.

There was a distinct "pop" and pain lacerated through her leg. It wasn't absolutely intolerable but it certainly stung. She squeaked and ground her teeth into the white gauze. It took her a few moments to regain her composure before she removed the cloth from her mouth and forcibly smiled.
"That wasn't so bad!" she lied "Kinda tickled..."
