"Mallory, first floor, third on the left as you come up the stairs," repeated Kaidan as he memorized it in his head a few times, so that he wouldn't forget it. "Got it, i'll be there," he smiled, as he spoke, and then allowed Zip to playfully and friendly shove him, his grin broadening. As they made their way out into the courtyard, Kaidan couldn't help but notice that Zip had a more enthusiastic step, and it made him happy on the inside that he could actually please somebody for once in his life. He'd hopefully be able to become friends, if not good friends with Zip, and they seemed to be hitting it off great to start off with. Kaidan definitely was enjoying himself, being around the quarter Symenestra.
As he walked side by side with him, through the city, he would allow his soft brown hued eyes to scan their surroundings, until they finally made it to where the Martial Arts Association happened to be. Once within range of it, he turned his head towards Zip, and then said, "So, unarmed combat? Swordplay? Wrestling of some sort?" The last part was said in jest, kidding around with Zip about his prior wrestling comment, and happy that he could kid around with him, without him hopefully getting too upset or embarrassed by it. They would decide on it and sign up for it then. Kaidan hoped that they could find some common interest in the Martial Arts Association, even if their studies at the school was entirely different. He was into botany, the study of plants, while Zip was into anthropology, and culture, the study of people. Two very very different subjects, but somehow they managed to come together regardless of them. It might be an obstacle to overcome in the future, but, that didn't bother Kaidan. He was happy just knowing that he would be going out with Zip the following day, and also would learn some form of martial art from the association with him in an effort to learn a bit of self-defense. |
