[b]Physical Description
Image
As you gaze upon the creature before you, your eyes first take in the solid black color of this beautiful horse, every fur on his body black with a subtle sheen to it. As you gaze up his height of 62 inches at his withes, you catch a white diamond shape of fur on his forehead, contrasting sharply with the black around it. His head is held level and calm, turned towards you with a confident and steady look. His eyes, large and deep brown catch yours, revealing a host of emotions, thought and life not initially expected from a beast, hinting at more to this horse than just a simple equine. Following the line of his neck to his withers, then following the curve of his back, your eyes come to his tail and follow it down to a foot off the ground next to his lower legs, his tail just as thick as his mane. His legs are lean, but of a sturdy and lean look, the muscles and tendons easy to see in a way that suggests a lot of physical training of some sort.Smooth black fur with a soft sheen covers his full body from hooves to his head, the full body of Stigandr in horse form, minus a small white spot high up and center on his forehead. His coat has a soft sheen to it after he has bathed in human form or been brushed down by someone in his horse form. Sometimes hanging down into his face, his mane is long and thick, as black as the rest of his body. As black as the starless night sky, his mane and tail are both long and thick, with his mane covering his eyes and flowing down the side of his neck while his tail hangs to his lower legs when standing still. As your eyes take him in wholly, everything comes together forming a strong horse with a sturdy build for work, his head held proudly yet defiant, as if waiting for a fight.

Image
While in his human form, which he is accustomed to more than usual for a Kelvic, he stands 5’11 inches with a frame that appears around 174 pounds. His hair is black and hangs down to his shoulders. His face is usually rough, but not possessing a fully grown beard. His eyes stare at you in a curious, yet heavy way, as if calculating if you are threat or a potential ally. His eyes also catch a lot of attention initially as they have the same rectangular pupils of his horse form, giving him a wild look. His ears both contain the scars along the back sides where, as a horse and slave, three piercings were placed into each ear, connected by a metal chain, designed to maim him if he tried to shift without permission from his master. His body is lean and in good shape, though not muscular like a body-builder, you can tell there is a strength in his muscles and tendons. If one gets the chance to view his back, it is riddled with scars from when his time as a slave where he was viciously whipped and abused for the pleasure of his master and mistress. His left hand has a scrap of fabric wrapped around it and bound but easily removed, concealing a certain mark on his hand.

Character Concept

Captured while in Ravok for his first time at the age of 3, Stigandr was branded and thrown into slavery, he was forced to perform heavy work duties, such as hauling loads and transporting goods for his master and mistress, but that was side work. His main purpose for his masters was a war-horse. Being of a size perfect to carry an armored man and to fight as well, he was trained daily in fighting as a horse, using his mid-sized frame’s broad spectrum abilities to their max. In addition to this, he was trained in unarmed combat, often times following his war-horse training, forcing him to work exhausted hours and to train even harder. While he feels a desire to serve a master, or have a companion, this abuse and torture was an abomination to his animal instincts, forcing him to retreat to a point of distrust of anyone from Ravok and a lot of humans. These events have only strengthened his desire to be free, as well as his desire for a true companion and bond mate.

Character History

Born in Syliras to a Kelvic house cat, Stigandr often felt constrained. Being an animal with a natural desire to have more openness and freedom to move and run, this eventually led to him setting out on his own from his parent, with no ill-feelings involved. So on the 4th day of Spring in 506 AV he left his He went with caravans for short trips, offering his self as a horse for pulling heavier cargo in trade for time to be free to freely every so often. Even though it was dangerous, it was glorious to be free!

Then the day came in early Fall of 506 he was with a caravan headed to Ravok, unknowing of the risks to himself. Like a creature to the slaughter, he traveled there and entered the city. Within two days of being inside the city, he was captured and branded upon recognition of being a Kelvic. Whether betrayed or just taken, he had no idea, and it did not matter. His freedom was gone, and his life in the hands of another, something that was worse than dying to him. The following weeks were spent to break Stigandr, to break his rebellious nature that fought out against constraints and domination such as this. Controlling his shifting was easy with the addition of a metal collar in his human form, and a chain connected between each ear via three piercings in each ear. To force the breaking, he was rewarded and punished depending on his behavior, eventually making him completely submissive to his master and mistress over time.

Immediately after his breaking, Stigandr was put into rigorous fighter training. As his horse-form, he was taught the maneuvers and skills needed to defend his master in a fight, as well as how to use his agility to a higher standard. In human form, he was taught unarmed combat, focusing more on speed and agility and making quick hits, building on a lack of armor to allow him to shift easier if needed.

It was not until an attack by the Rising Dawn on the 24th Day of Spring of 510 A.V. that he was able to escape. Thanks solely to the Rising Dawn and one of their efforts to free slaves, Stigandr was set free and was able to escape the city and join a caravan that did not mind who he was. Working for the caravan and a couple others in his journey, he made his way to Sunberth during the 77th Day of the Summer Season in 511 A.V. and decided to try to settle down into a city where it seemed he would not be hated for his race and he could also fight to hold his own.

Likes and Dislikes

Stigandr is a being of simple pleasures and joys. The greatest among these is running in his horse form and being free to move as he wants, when he wants. He also loves being around those he can trusts and trust him. He enjoys company when it is good, or at least calm, but is slow in getting close to people, even though he wants to be close to them. Since arriving in Sunberth, he has tried his hand at growing a couple small vegetable plants with little effect, though he did enjoy it while it lasted.

Restraining clothing agitates him as do overly crowded cities, such as Syliras. While he will eat meat in human form is he has to, the taste of it sickens him and he cannot stomach a lot of for very long. While harnesses and clothing might cause some distress for a moment, especially when place on him, chains and anything resembling slave bondage will cause him to have to leave the area immediately or fight whoever has the offending item with them.

Ethics

There is not much in the way of ethics for him. The concepts of good and evil are beyond him for the most part with the exception of slavery and controlling someone against their will. For this he will often start fight in an attempt to instinctively defend and protect whoever is being held as a slave. This has gotten him into trouble several times at different places and forced him to stop and think about the situation and the threat to his own life as well. He will kill others in defense of himself and others if needed, but a part of him hates it as it will always remind him of his slavery and where he was taught to really kill.
