Rayla the persistent, of the sons of Hiren Character Overview- Basic Information Race: Chaktawe/ Benshira Birthday & Age : Fall 31 495AV, 17 Gender: Female Languages Language 1: Tawna Language 2: Shiber Language 3: Arumenic Physical Description Rayla is very short to the average human, standing at 5’3”, but considering her heritage she is just the right height. She weighs 121 , even for her small shape, because she takes on more of her father’s side , he is Chaktawe. Raylas hair is wild and free long dark brown color that will often have feathers and beads tied to weaved in. Her body is a cross between a golden-brown and a dark clay red. Following her father’s traditions she had paint covering her body in the form of stripes. From the bottom of her chin to the center of each breast two black stripes run, on her right fore-arm are two blacks stripes, on her left leg from her hip to her ankle is two black stripes, and on the inside of her left wrist there are three black dots. Rayla wears a red scarf around her throat and will pull it above her mouth, its very long so having it wrapped around her face twice there is still a good bit of fabric left. She wear three necklaces, one has is a red ribbon that hangs a deep blue stone, a small polished animal tooth is hung on a small string of braided leather, and the lowest is a feather necklace that has five different lengths of desert bird feathers. Her ears are full of piercings that hold feathers. polished bones, precious metal disks. When it comes to clothing Rayla wears a low cut bodice made of ark animal leather with small rings of precious metals weaved into the top and bottom of it to hold it together, a string runs through it as bindings. Her bottoms are loose fitting knee length thin leather that has slits on the outside and inside of the legs, the bottom of each pant legs have small precious metal rings woven in with a string that can be retied to make the pants stay at different heights. She wears no shoes due to webbed feet and leathery palms. Character Concept Rayla is a headstrong girl. She is always happy and tends to be the one who trys to do what ever it takes to stay that way. She's courageous and smart. She's also brute. Though she's happy she tends to be closed minded, very... opinionated. Also, though she is more brute on things she is not aggressive. She see's no use in being rough inless its the absolute last resort. Rayla fears being exiled because of her heritage. She has a weekness when it comes to children, an example is when her father came back with a mutilated Chaktawe child and she spent the day crying after helping him. Challenges she faces are not being pure Chaktawe and not feeling like she fits in anywhere. Unknown to others Rayla is a thief, she can't help herself. It's like an instinct, if she wants it she gets it. She started small but slowly began to increase the size of the items and there worth. Rayla has always held a interest in fighting. She even has a spear and shield hidden in her stash of things. She watches the warriors and hunters of her tribe then practices alone in secret. She once caught wind of rumors of a 'faction' called the Crimson Edge. Mercenaries they are said to be. The rumor was of that the Crimson Edge had members in or near the city of Eloab. Freelance work then took hold of Rayla as a goal. Traveling the world working for a living, maybe one day find where she belongs has Raylas mind set on a path that may be very troublesome. Character History Rayla's parents were born of separate races. Natural enemies (at the time they were in a dispute) because of her fathers tribe. Her father was born into the Kalanue (raven) tribe and her mother born into nearby Benshira. Her parents met secretly and in the ending Winter of 495 her mother became pregnant. Her mother fled to live alone near her father till the baby was born. All her father has expressed that after Rayla was born her mother was discovered. No mercy was taken upon her, but Rayla was saved. Only for her features was she aloud the live. Her life through out the group has always been hard, she is teased and pushed around, always set to do the hard things or the things no one else wants to do.Her father is a healer so she does keep some respect but other than that her life is not the regular Chaktawe child's. Everyone knows she is not pure, it's easy to see because of her lighter skin, blue eyes, and brown hair. She is aloud to use some of her Benshira heritage in her clothing. The knee length pants and scarf plus the piercings and metal discs, Rayla had always thought that this was to show that she was different, that she didn't belong.
