"Ah and here we are!!!" The Jamoura's loud bellow startled Kel out of his reverie and nearly made him slip from his perch on the side of one of the great vine bridges, his head hanging over the side to study the odd nets underneath, Oooh that looks like fun~ Can I try? Ash please. I prefer to keep our spine in tact. But.. but.. the net would catch us. Oh yeah? Your willing to bet our life on that? He could feel the answer before his other half even deigned to voice it. Gods why do I ask? Of coarse you would. Just stop talking please?

He could feel Ash's mental laugh more than hear it, but it was there all the same... Kel let out a long suffering sigh... but still he couldnt help but grin.. His other halfs attitude could be a pain generally, but every now and then the goofball bring out the best in both of them... even if he was technically the 'dark' twin. I knew you loved me~ Shut up Ash.

Now with his mood lightened, Your welcome. Ash. Ok ok. Ahem.. Now with his mood lightened he returned his attention to the large Jamoura before him, a smile playing across their faced," Thank you sir." B'stard grinned as well and gave a flourishing gesture, presumably a sign of respect.. at least on would hope, and waved them towards the entrance," As I was saying my friend, welcome to Grath's Rest."

Kel was forced to whistle in appreciation, before them stood a giant tree, a giant chunk carved from its thick side, lights pouring out onto the nearby foliage, and inside there were many, Jamoura, humans, Kelvics, and more... " Amazing.." His tone was surely awed for B'stard gave him a good natured slap on the back," This is the spires my friend! Prepare to be amazed." The Jamoura's laughter was booming and surprisingly infectious, so much so that Kel found himself with another grin... he hadnt smiled this much in a few years.... I Like 'Em!! Who? This fuzzy oaf obviously. I still want to hit him though.

Kel laughed and shook his head at Ash's eager enthusiasm.. Therll be none of that just now. At a nod the big Jamoura led them into the bar, weaving around tables and chairs that were literally carved of the living tree... some even had new branches sprouting... They need a gardener in here~ Ha. That they do. Finally B'stard stopped, standing near the bar and pointing to another Jamoura," That would be Grath my friend. Ask him about rooms." His finger alighted upon a slightly smaller Jamoura across the bar," And that would be his.. mate, Kashal, you may go to her about food and drink." With a grin he gestured to the people around," I assume that if you have any more questions you could ask those here and get an answer readily enough, I must resume my post."

Kel nodded and gave the man/ape his thanks, then turned his attention to the proprietor of this boisterous place. Obviously a large creature the ape stood nearly a foot taller than even Kel'Ashun's not inconsiderable height. Yet even with the intimidating appearance, Kel could sense a certain gentleness in the others eyes that seemed to be shared by many Jamoura in the room, maybe its a regular trait? No matter, no matter.

He placed a small smile upon his face as he walked up to the apeman," Excuse me good sir, would you happen to be Grath, the owner of this place?" Once more Kel was faced with that odd smile that he was beginning to attribute to a good natured grin," Aye that I am, What can I do ya for?" Kel nodded and smiled all the brighter," The name is Kel'Ashun good sir. I would inquire about a room for the night?"

"Ah that would be five silver for a common room, two gold for luxury." He smiled down at Kel, obviously glad to have a customer," Ah my thanks, and here you are." Kel pulled a number of coins from his purse, counting out five silver and depositing it in the big apes hands. Grath counted the coins, to be sure, and put them away in his own purse, quickly pointing to the stairs," Up those stairs and to the left. Your room is the second on that side." With a word of thanks Kel turned away... but even with all the traveling he knew Ash would not be up for rest... Damn straight. You havnt let me play all day! Kel gritted his teeth at his other halfs near whining tone. Im sorry but weve been busy... I can let you go now though I guess....

Kel would swear that he could feel the excited bouncing in the back of his head as the other readied himself. All right your turn.

Ash blinked, he flexed his muscles, raised his hands to see the play of moving fingers. Ah its good to be king~ Seriously Ash? Oh come on. You know you like the old quotes. Same way I like a hot poker to my backside maybe. Ash grinned wickedly. Depends on whose holding the poker. Ash chuckled as Kel's pained groan reverberated through him... Now for some fun~

Ash let his instinct guide him, boots slapping against wood with little intense thumps," Gods its good to MOVE." Around and around the bar he went, searching, weighing up the people thereabouts, until at last he spotted a possible candidate... Ash Dont. Hey im in charge right now.. Ash if you randomly attack someone. Again! Well be thrown out. But.. but... Ash the Jamoura told us if we wanted to fight, we could go to the training yard. Ash groaned out a sigh. There better be someone fun to play with there.

Still Ash walked up to the man, large but still smaller than the towering Akalak, covered in scars, head clean shaven, and obviously dangerous," Yello baldie~ Im new and looking for the training yard. Mind giving me directions?" ASH!! Kel's voice sounded absolutely aghast, but still Ash drove right on flashing a smile as the big man turned around an angry sound beginning to leave his lips. Ash merely smiled the wider, perfectly white teeth gleaming in a blood red face, muscles tensing and relaxing at intervals. The other man blanched when he caught sight of the one who had insulted him.

Ash flexed his muscles a bit more, smile still plastered across his face, but the smile didnt reach his eyes... there was something dangerous there, something feral.. and the other man had apparently noticed," Well? Im waiting." The burly man smiled placatingly," Ah that would be on the Petal of Tranquil Slumber." The man laughed uncomfortably, giving directions all the while. Wimp. Ash was nearly pouting as the man practically tripped over himself to cooperate. What do you expect when you stare him down like that? I expect a fight! Inside their mind Kel groaned. I told you not to fight here.

Ash ignored him, drinking in the mans fumbled directions then turning away. As a second thought he threw a blinding smile over his shoulder and said a word of thanks, looking back just in time to see the man deflate with relief. Good~ Ash please. Be quiet Kel. Im having fun. Ash set out for the training yard at a light jog, letting his muscles stretch a bit before the real fun would begin....

As he moved along the winding bridges of the spires Ash couldnt help but whoop with joy. Ah the feeling of being on the move... He grinned, hopping from one bridge to the other when they were near enough. Ash dont complain if we fall and you get stuck in that net. Itll still count as your time. Oh shut it Kel. Im good on our feet.

It didnt take long for them to reach the training yard. Right where baldy said itd be. Darn I was hoping hed give me a reason to beat him up~ As they arrived Kel sighed in relief. At least here your less likely to get us kicked out. I cans till try~ Ash grinned as he began to stalk around the training yard just as he had the bar, searching for someone interesting.

Training yard...Always in the training yard. Xi sat quietly, well maybe quietly wasn't the word, on the surface he was silent, and calm but internally...He was warring again. Staring down liro in the open blankness of his mind, the grey scale world now fully coloured. The bestial copy of him staring back at Xi. Molten gold and midnight blue. The think crystalline layer holding them apart. What is it liro, what do you want.

What don't i want ? Acknowledgement, control, influence, you to perhaps listen to me from time to time, oh and what else is there ...i know i'm forgetting something...OH that's right for you to actually grow a pair. Do you have a point liro ? Xi's skin began to crawl within his mind, and his flux began to flow out and over him, the djed pathways lighting up and shining through his clothes, the intricate spirals straight lines simple tornadoes of colour. Something was eating at him when ever these shone liro had something planned. Folding his arms Xi glared back at liros eye's of molten gold insanity. Tell me the truth, what exactly is it you want from me? Liros face fell from i's usual wicked smile into a hard leer. Revenge, power, control, dominance. I want what you wont get for yourself. I want to take everything and have it all. And all you do s stand in the way of me dragging the world into insanity with us. i think it's time i asked you a question. Why do you despise me so? Sure i may be the side of you that makes the harsh choices but am i really that bad ? the world is full of people who do worse things.

You and i both know that's a lie, if that was the case then the entire world would eb in the same state as that hell hole we left. but not this place doesn't conform with your ideals of the world...Which is exactly why i'm never returning to sunberth and instead i'm going to make my home here. Xi was actually going to make a home in the spires and with it a base from which to travel and explore the world and see everything he could however one thing still made him wonder, and made his blood boil. Wrenmae...The one man he would kill with his own hands. Calming his mind Xi maintained the meditative state, he'd need a LOT of self control if he was ever going to beat that infernal curse that wren had placed on him. And there was one thing that drove XI to excel in his self control. Fighting. It tempered the beast within and let him focus more easily, the simple flowing of movements allowed him to focus, his mind want thinking, but his body was reacting, a time where he could hold his mind at perfect peace whilst maintaining his flow of the battle. Xi rocked back before placing his bpalms on the ground behind him and spring boarding to his feet. Taking a slow and measures breath he braced himself for what was to come , possibly another day of training alone and learning to make his muscles remember their sequences.

Ash stared, his eyes nearly watering as he caught sight of a particularly large human, or possibly kelvic.. so hard to tell. He would have passed the man over really, in favor of a larger apponent, Jamoura or otherwise, but as hed stalked the training yard he had seen this man. For a time he seemed unremarkable, besides his size obviously, but slowly he bagan to pick apart the mans simple looks... and he started to look much more interesting.. and dangerous.

Oh please. Stop ogling the man Ash. But I want to hit him! Well then get on with it, im tired and want to head to sleep. Well just go to sleep then! And leave you alone? Hardly. Ash grunted in annoyance and did his best to block Kel out.. Time for some fun.

Ash sidled up to the man, their body moving with almost catlike grace steps light, nearly silent, predatory... As he neared he sized the man up, noting his bulging muscles, his stoic silence, his nearly perfect stillness, which Ash knew was generally harder than most movements, and his excitement grew, and grew.

Finally he could take no more, could wait no longer. With his slightly foppish grin he knelt down before the man, his eyes glinting with animalistic intensity," Excuse me, I been looking for a good spar... And since your here... I figure youd do right?" Ash grinned all the more, a shiver of excitement running down his spine.
Gods man, one day youll get us both killed. I hope you realize that.

Standing he heard a voice. It was rather he heard a voice at his ear from anything even jamoura seeing as the normally knelt forwards, and hunched down. Opening his eyes he was greeted with a wall of red. Hard, defined...Living...Taking a half step back he glanced up to a face. This was either an akalak or something very new. So akalaks came in every colour, well this was a surprise, after seeing Xalet fight with him against that monstrous bird. Xi raised an eyebrow and layers a glower over him, something in his face seemed vaguely....Liro like. Xi spoke low slow and very calm, in his normal tone of voice.

"You wish to fight me ? Why? If you wish to fight me i'd suggest taking a few moments to set yourself up and get ready..." XI leered back into the giant man's eyes, something about him SCREAMED Liro. Just from the mannerisms and the way he was acting. Xi snapped off the link of his cloak before bundling up his, weapons in it. Still leaving on his vambraces. Not knowing the man before him he wanted to check the speed of his movements, so Xi left on his vambraces to lower his speed by leaving them on, Slowing himself by almost a full third. Taking another deep slow breath. He rocked back on his foot, he had a new move he wanted ton try and it would be much more effective on a larger foe. " When you are ready you may have first move. "

Ash smiled knowingly, backing up a few steps to give the man some room," Why do I want to fight you? Cause you look strong." He could detect a certain distaste in the man... obviously hed seen something in Ash that he didnt like... good. Itll make things more interesting. He smirked, his arms swinging in long arcs to limber them up.

Ash you know better than that! The fist attack is always dangerous. Exactly! Ash's voice seemed to drip with anticipation. Hes baiting you into attacking. I know. Dammit.

With a feral grin he reached over his shoulder, grabbing hold of it as though to toss it away, instead he whipped it around like a casting net, slinging it towards his new target, Ash! I thought this was a spar?! Nope. I came for a fight and I mean to get it. Plus. He never mentioned any rules. He leaped after his cape, his body spinning around it to come in hard from the left with a spinning kick.

Xi raised his arms into his fighting stance awaiting for the response. This man was so like liro Xi could taste bile in the back of this throat then the thing he wasn't expecting came. The man threw his cloak out infront of him. Surprise attacks only work once...Xi began to rock himself back putting all his weight on his rear right foot and lifting his arms slightly higher. Bracing himself he saw a curve in the edge of the fabric and a heel...Perfect. Xi waited letting the leg draw closer and closer, until he felt it touch his side, closing his arm around it, he brought his hand around into the thigh and pressed his weight into the follow through using his arms spring momentum and his own body weight to drive this man face and chest first into the ground. Both Xi's full weight and the mans into the push and his fall, this was going to hurt.

"Distractions only work when you know your opponent, and i know your attitude. It's similar to someone i know. " Xi had the upper hand right now from this point if he move his stance a touch forwards he could dislocate his opponents leg at the hip. Or worse break his femur. Either way right now the moment this man hit the ground Xi would let his leg go and step back three or four paces to escape his arc of attack.

Ash growled triumphantly as he felt his foot connect, only to have it turn to a sudden exclamation of surprise as his weight was suddenly turned against him. His eyes bulged unseemingly as the ground suddenly rushed to meet him. I told you he was baiting you. Ash began to giggle, suddenly using the traction of his other foot, which hadnt left the ground, to twist his body around tugging on his trapped leg to pull his opponent off balance as well. I said I knew.

But damn is he good. Aye that he is. Thats why I warned you, but do you listen? If I listened to you all the time wed never have any fun. Also using the momentum of the twist he sent a kick from his other foot spiraling towards the mans shoulder. Catch that one ya bastard.

Success, he'd gort him off balance but now there was something else , he felt himself falling. The other man had tougged him down with him using his eight and a tug of his foot. Looks like you underestimated him. Petch off Liro. Dine then i wont tell you about the foot. What foot was liro, then the imact, a huge push to his shoulder. Damn it. Alright he wants to play like then let's play. Mid fall Xi shifted his weight again and now aimed the full force fo the drop not on the man's face but sraight on to his knee. Now this akalak's face would hit then the full force of Xi''s weight would slam into his knee. This would possibly fracture it or deal significant damage and pain. This man wanted to play dirty, fine Xi knew a thing or too about that as well. calming his mind he didn't want to release his flux unless he had too, he was going to put this akalak in his place without the use of magic. Grabbing hold of tyhe man's other foot Xi rolled with the fall so he'd also deliver a lot of dmage onto the man's ankle on his other leg.

Ash let loose a string of curses, vile in form, yet.. somehow he was still smiling, even as he was falling facefirst to the ground he still smiled... Your enjoying this too much. I think im enjoying it just enough~ Great I think my brother soul is a masochist. You realize ill be feeling the pain as well? Ash broke out into laughter. Exactly, all the better. Oh ha ha... Bastard. Oi our parents were legally bonded and you know it~

Ash could feel the mans hands clamping around his ankle, dragging him down once more, this time with ALL of the man considerable weight baring down on their legs... This is going to hurt... Ash merely smiled. The impact was nearly bone jarring, tendons and muscles protested their harsh treatment.. but still everything held, no broken bones, no torn ligaments.. Thank gods for a sturdy body. Be glad I ever let you use it. Kel was pouting now, wich was fine with Ash.. maybe hed decide on the quiet treatment and stop talking. Fat chance.

Ash waited a few moments, letting the shock in his legs dissipate slightly, before rolling forward suddenly, pulling his legs from the other mans loosened grip. Within seconds Ash was back on his feet, brushing dirt from his clothes and wiping a drop of blood from his bleeding nose. His smile grew all the brighter," Damn you good. Wanna try me now?" His voice was bright and cheerful, showing no signs of annoyance... Im surprised. You calm? But im having so much fun! I wouldnt want to ruin it by going into a rage. I wouldnt remember most of it.

Xi Rolled back over his head springing to a stand as he watched his opponent rise with him. And then the pain started to filter in, the slight ache in his side from the force of his kick and now his left shoulder stung from the boot the other man had given him. The pain was short but it burnt for the moment, he could feel it clawing at him. Rolling his shoulder, back and around he dissipated the pain by easing the muscles and relaxing the tension. His side though there wan't much he could do about that. Still what was this man made of ? Bricks ? Iron ? Xi shook his head, this was a chance for him to fight a larger opponent and see how he could deal. Dropping back into his fighting stance he now listned out and it was his turn, only fair he supposed but he wouldn't try any dirty tricks instead he'd jst show him what he could do, without flux. Still weighed down by his armour Xi charged in, landing on his left foot but only the ball of his foot, before bringing his right hand from his waist over and lightning fast, giving it a full one-eighty spin into the akalak's chest, if this hit it was going to sting to all hell if it missed the follow up, would hurt almost twice as much as th inital punch "Akalak, what is your name? I'd like to at least know the name of the man i'm fighting with."
