The Age Old Question!!!!

Alright, ladies and gentlemen. This is it. Finally, an answer to the Age Old Question! Which is way more awesome? Pirates, or Ninjas? Now, this is how it works. You will present your case to me on which is deadlier. As I am an impartial party, since I like both groups equally, your job is to convince me. If you wish to participate, you have until June 14th to convince me. I will announce the winner on the 14th.

The only rules are this.
1: Do not start arguments in this thread about which is better. Stick to why yours is better, and not why the others is worse.
2: Pirates and Ninjas only. Nothing more.
3: Do not try to bribe the judge. Bribes will be taken, and the bribing team will be penalized.
4: Anyone trying to disregard these rules will be asked to STFU, and any post made by them will be ignored.
5: The judge may add rules and judges as he sees fit.
6: Anyone can have a say in this contest, unless they break any of the rules.
7: Any post made here has to be in the form of an argument as too why you are siding with a certain team.
8. Weapons are not allowed.
9. No cussing.

I'm so with Team Ninja.

Surprisingly Pirates and Ninja's share many of the same traits. Both operate in small units, relatively speaking. I don't remember a fleet of pirate ships teaming up for a gigantic offensive like in the movies, or the same with the ninjas. Both are a way to live life, and both have the same "Run away to fight another day" mentality. However Ninjas, imo, had a immensely wider skill set at their disposal to help in their sneakyness while pirates shoot, stab, sail, steal, drink and hire hookers. All worthy talents to perfect. BUT I think the ninja's are more dedicated to what they do than a pirate, thus they win.

Ninjas.

Ninjas wash. Pirates do not. Pirates also swashbuckle and whore and drink. Ninja's do not. Its easy to take down a guy thats drinking and whoring and swashbuckling when your sober and focused especially when you smell them a mile away. Nuff said.

Pirate are the best. If you were having a party, you would totally invite pirates because they would bring rum and get everyone drunk, they would always be down for some debauchery, and they wouldn't go around randomly slicing people's heads off for no reason.

They also have really bitchin' boots. And they ride around in three-masted ships. And they pillage! Pillaging is awesome. Pirates totally win.

Pirates aren't inhibited by anything. They train themselves with the tenacity of ninjas to fight while effectively inebriated, or while in bed with a whore. Nothing can impair a pirate, because they train to fight impaired!

Also, pirates aren't held back by a code of honor. Pirates fight to win!

And furthermore, because pirates fight to win, they use whatever they have at their disposal. Hey look a chair *throws the chair and pulls a pistol*.

That, and pirates can sail. Sailing is badass.

Also, a common weapon of the ninja was a blowgun with a poisoned needle (Fight Science). Pirates would wrap their necks and faces in scarves to stop the needle. Blowgun defeated. It had like no penetration power, and relied entirely on the needle striking their victim's exposed neck.

Pirates have lots of guns, ninja's can't dodge a speeding bullet no matter how good. Pirates also had grenades.

There are no guns or grenades on Mizahar. Go team Ninja! Besides... throwing stars are just as effective as guns, and way more quiet.

Pirates. Pirates existed millennia before the first ninja made his first kill, and (unfortunately!) still exist today, so they have stood the test of time. We should also remember pirates were much more disciplined than fiction gives them credit for. They were held to a strict code while on board their ship that explicitly forbid gambling and violence, had an egalitarian mindset in which everyone was entitled to a share of the booty, and punished transgressors harshly. Pirates all the way.

Ninja's weren't limited strictly to throwing stars, blowguns, and straight swords. They used nearly anything with at sharp point on one end or items for misdirection. Both the kama, three section staff, and nunchaku all started out as simple farming equipment that turned into awesome butt kicking gear. Half of all warfare is misdirection. From the manriki gusari to needles, climbing claws, and powder bombs and flash bangs there wasn't an obstacle the ninja didn't have a tool for. And the ninja themselves were as varied as their weapons, which were wielded with perfection mind you.

Many ninjas traveled the country as minstrels or acrobats. Some doctors in larger cities also operated as ninja. Geishas and courtesans were the most successful ninja because they were never suspected of doing wrong to their clients, granted most of their work was information gathering. Even religious monks could be a disguise for a ninja One to two ninjas have set fire to a single castle and destroyed the whole thing, a single ninja could change local government structure in a single night.
