Home of the Konti people, this ivory city is built of native konti stone half in and half out of the sea. Its borders touch the Silverwood, and stretch upwards towards Silver Lake, home of the infamous konti vision water. [Lore]

Old Friends, New Days [Blythe]

Mura still brought new things to the eyes of the young kelvic, even as the island is so small and most everything was white. Even still, Keyta enjoyed it, the constant surprises the island brought something new each day, making everything that much more interesting. As the little girl sat in the open field enjoying the sky full of dark clouds and a small breeze, she started thinking about how many strangers arive in Mura each day. So many of them are human, but others are stranger than most, some with blue skin, others with more fur than herself in her true form. Yet all of these creatures are welcomed to Mura like any other. The thought made Keyta wonder just how many of them were actually violent, maybe the evil within Ravok would follow Keyta here, and if it did, what would she be able to do other than allow them to take her?

A flash of memory blinked through Keyta's mind, the day she fought with her cousin, the young man that hated kelvic, even if they were related to him. She was quite the horrible fighter back then, but luckily, so was he. Their fight was fairly simple, reminding her that fighting can be done even if one were to play a dirty trick or even if she couldn't see. Hearing could become quite the useful tool if she ever ended up in a similar problem. So with that in mind, Keyta sat quietly, listening to every sound, trying to identify them without actually looking to see if she was correct. Noticing the wind blowing in between the leaves of trees and even through the blades of grass she was sitting in. Several animals were calling out to one another back in the forest, and even the sound of the ocean could be heard occasionally over in the distance. It wasn't until she heard a suddenly thud of a foot directly behind her that she jumped up to meet the one whom sneaked up on her.

OOCPlease feel free to do anything that we already talked about in the thread, we don't have to spare lol, but this is kind of the training she needs for that first anyway.

Ethereal currents carried the dying grasses, forcing them to flit between their narrowed caresses. Lavender colored eyes watched them dance alongside their rooted brethren, swaying along the length of rolling hills and open fields. The darkened coals of central dye noted the fraying edges. Splits cast underfoot, by the twisted fibres that rested beneath weather worn soles. They crackled as the Konti passed, beating them into darker earth.

As Blythe glided along, she listened to the sounds of cawing birds. Squirrels chittering as they scurried up a length of diamond backed bark, to the tops of trees. She listened to the soft whistle of the wind, the rustling of fabric as the churning airs whipped them about her ankles.

Eyes narrowed as she took in the sight of fiery tuft. Strands fluttering in the breeze. "Keyta," she whispered under her breath as she moved to close the distance which rested between them. Her own blonde mane rocking against her neck, tickling her bare skin. Her hips swaying with the motion of the sea, waves sounding off in the distance.

As she moved, Blythe could only sigh as she thought naught, did naught until she stood only a few paces behind her companion. "What are you doing out here love?" she asked, as she forced herself to halt, and look out at the horizon. What appeared to be impending darkness, and perhaps, storm.

OOCI swear, I am constantly forgetting that your pc can't talk...

Old Friends, New Days [Blythe]

As the kelvic arose, she noticed a familiarly dressed konti standing over her, her skin reflecting what little light existed with the clouds over top. Her white clothing seemed to dance as the wind blew across the field and even her hair matched that of the ocean's waves. As Blythe asked Keyta why she was there, she could only stare back as she was uncertain how exactly to answer. So instead, Keyta approached the konti and grabbed for her hand, not trying to say anything, but just wanting to be with her friend for the moment. Keyta's return to Mura was still fresh, she still slightly missed Blythe even as she stood right in front of her.

Blythe's hand was soft, just as the rest of her skin always was, even her voice was soft as she spoke. The kelvic couldn't remember a single time when Blythe had a threatening voice toward her, even when she did say something sharply. Her eyes were a wonderful lavender which were always carefully examining things either on the young girl or around her. Rarely did her eyes show pain or sadness, but when they did, even Keyta felt her pain simply by gazing into Blythe's eyes.

OOCSorry I didn't post last night like I said, but I didn't get home til late. Also, sorry for the post, I feel like I just kind of threw things in this one.

Blythe allowed their fingers to weave; marveling in how soft their palms felt, in comparison to dried, twisted knuckles. In how much shorter the Kelvic's fingers were, despite the frailty in each of their forms. Smiling, the Konti offered the girl's hand a light squeeze. "Just enjoying the fresh air then," she whispered, as she peered out and onto the horizon. "Or perhaps, meditating?" she asked, knowing that the girl could give no answer, save for a nod or shake of the head, lest she intended to write it out upon earthen bed. Allowing dirt to crust beneath her nails as she pushed it aside to form the Kontinese lexicon.

"We could continue if you'd like. It is rather helpful, to clear the mind. Keeps what one sees from growing cloudy and confusing," Blythe continued. "Or it could serve to simply relax, or even, prepare one's body for an oncoming battle." The woman's lavender colored eyes glimmered as they caught the light's reflection. She tilted her head to the side as she fell silent, allowing her blonde mane to trickle down her shoulders. As the gears and cogs rotated, clicking against one another forcing her thoughts, her grip eased on the Kelvic's hand. "You know, that's actually not a bad idea. Although darkness seldom reaches this place, it's best to be prepared for any situation, no?" the Konti paused as she turned to face her companion. "What do you say we practice a little? For there are times we cannot flee that which faces us." She smiled weakly. "It wouldn't be fair if one of us used a blade, so why not try with our fists? At least they can never leave us..."

OOCIt's quite alright. Hope you don't mind the ever so subtle steer...

OOCLol don't worry about having to make nudges like that, with her being unable to speak like myself, we find ourselves getting nudged around often. Oh, and by the way, if it's confusing, Keyta has an adrenaline rush toward the bottom, that is what's happening overall.

The kelvic stood there confused for a moment as she saw Blythe readying for a fight. Keyta had never seen this side of the konti before, even though it had been a long time since she had seen her, but even for as long as she had known her, this was still new. Slowly, Keyta lifted her small arms just as she remembered doing when she fought with her cousin. Even still, the kelvic girl didn't want to harm Blythe, the thought of doing so would break her heart. Trying to think of what to do, the little girl finally brought on a full fighting stance, or at least what she considered to be one, with her hands opened and in front of her. Her legs were positioned behind one another and bent significantly with her eyes focused on the her friend's stomach. With her eyes where they were, she could watch every movement that Blythe would make and hopefully be able to react. Slowly her focus increased, a new heightened sense of awareness, each sound made as they breathed, the movements of their arms and legs, even the breeze that gently blew by. Suddenly Keyta found her self excited to see what would happen next, trembling slightly even as she found a new level of energy, and everything seemed to slow down even just a little bit.

Blythe smiled weakly as she watched her companion ready herself, leaving her to do the same. Much as the young Kelvic, the Konti left her right foot ahead of the other. Each pointed in the direction she was facing. She bent each leg lightly at the knee, and leaned into the right. Putting the majority of her weight on her heels.

After taking a deep, cleansing breath, Blythe raised each of her arms. Bent at the elbow, she held them just before her form. Palms held taut, flat.

"Ready Keyta?" she asked, as the scales that lined her forehead shimmered a pale pink in the dying light, and her lavender colored eyes sparkled with a sense of innocence, coupled with excitement. She would wait however long it would take for the younger woman to indicate that she was before she stepped forward rather slowly, and allowed her right hand to snap. Reaching for the girl's cheek.

It wouldn't be a tough slap, should defenses fail. Just enough to lightly redden the skin perhaps, or scare the girl away. More or less, see what she was made of, so she'd know how hard to go on her.

If she were even ready to spar.

Keyta's left hand found itself quickly launching to the side to push the hand of the konti away from her head. She was slightly startled at the suddeness of the first 'attack' but knew that this was how it typically was. Taking her chance, Keyta slid her front foot forward, allowing her body to turn sideways giving the arm she had just blocked with the chance to bend. The kelvic lowered her body slightly and put her weight onto her back leg, allowing her to then push forward with her weight and strength, as little of both as there was. Keyta's left elbow was shoved into the direction of where Blythe was standing, hoping to at least push her off her feet, but she still wasn't expecting much. The kelvic knew all to well that straight on attacks were not her specialty due to the miniscule strength and weight of her body in both of her forms. When it came to fighting defensively, she did her best not to injure herself mostly and normally tried to find an exit to run. If she was forced to fight head on, her teeth became her best weapon, but there was no way Keyta could bring herself to biting Blythe. This did offer a very good oportunity even with all of the odds against her this time, she was interested to see just how well she could do if she had to fight defensively, and without running. The curiousity within the girl forced her to smile a weak and almost maniacal smile as she then took her still free right arm and pressed it against her left to add more power to her still launching elbow.

Blythe's lavender colored eyes shimmered as she felt impact. A limb against her own, as opposed to the flat of her target, coupled with the supple rise of supportive bone. Her lips curled into a delicate smile as her arm receded, falling back into its starting position, as the tides turned.

Sands shifting so that she was on the defensive, as opposed to the offensive. As Keyta's elbow came for her with malicious intent, Blythe stepped back, just out of the girl's reach. She felt the air of it passing in a single, fluid sweep, as she stepped into the opening left by its motion.

As her final foot fell, Blythe lifted the other. Bending it at the knee. With ease, the Konti lifted her right appendage towards her stomach, before allowing her foot to swing behind, to provide the space to then push it forward. Aiming the rounded bone towards her companion's chest. As the first attack either struck or missed its target, the elder woman would bunch her hands into fist, and without so much as a shard of grace, push the left one forward towards the girl's bright eyes, while her foot fell back into place. While the arm's companion dipped against her side, before she propelled it upwards, under the girl's chin.

Keyta could only watch as the first attack made by herself missed completely and then the attacks of Blythe came rushing in. First a strong pain in her chest, forcing the air out of her mouth, making her bend forward slightly. The kelvic only managed to look up in time to witness the next punch falling between her eyes, making a bright flash of light follow by a slight throb of red. Keyta held her face as the next attacked from under her chin, forcing her head back, and had Keyta fall on her back. This was understood as the obvious outcome, however she was not about to give up. As Keyta slowly arose, she began to strip her clothing one piece at a time, keeping an eye on her opponent to make sure nothing would come at her. Getting to the last piece, the kelvic stretched a small bit and posed herself once again.

Keyta charged her opponent again, knowing that the same attack as before would miss, but threw it at Blythe anyway. As the attack passed, Keyta swiftly changed into her bat form to flutter upward quickly. The bat looked down and put herself just above her companion, then once again, changed back into her human self, landing on the shoulders of Blythe.

As soon as her attacks had landed, Blythe reeled each of her fists in, and watched as her companion fell back. Stripped, oh how the animals preferred to be in the nude; and the Kelvics too.

Red pigmentation flooded the Konti's cheeks. She was going to have to teach her companion about appropriate attire whilst in public. Even though no one else seemed to be around...

But another time, she was fighting with her now, and the young girl was coming for her. With raised fists, the Konti stood her ground, only to find that the girl's initial jab had missed as she flicked her right shoulder inwards just as she took her bat form. Blythe could hear Keyta's wings flapping, see the sun trying to shine through the shadow it cast.

And then it was gone. The light. All time...

And she felt a weight on her shoulders. A human body. Blythe grit her teeth as she fell forward. "Oh Keyta," she exclaimed as her back creaked and her bones grated uncomfortably together. "That wasn't entirely fair... but then again, it'd serve you well in a fight."

"The element of surprise..."

As her hands settled into the dirt, the Konti did her best to roll her shoulders, hoping she'd fall off, or climb off, or something.

She took a deep breath, in through the nose, and out through the mouth, Blythe knew this was going to be the start of a long day.

OOCGoing to be slow because of NANO.
