[The Blue Bull] Dirty Pool

Razkar continues his "training"

Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

[The Blue Bull] Dirty Pool

Once Razkar managed to get his testicles dislodged from his pelvis, not to mention get his body to remember he had a whole half-leg under his kneecap, he managed to get back to his feet. Kevlar stood back and watched him carefully, eyes still sullen and neutral. He didn't make a move. No point beating your students half to death the whole time.

Takes them too long to learn.

"Good to go?"

Razkar managed to nod, and was grateful he didn't eat before he came here. Gritting his teeth against the pain, he braces himself.

Kevlar swept forward, leading with those tree trunk legs, but his arms were already coming up. The sheer size of the man was his biggest advantage: he filled your vision, blocked out all scenery, made you panic. And in those seconds when you weren't planning or moving-

He was.

Razkar sidestepped to the right, pivoted and brought up his right knee at the same time, slamming it into the Akalak's side and getting out of his way. The big man grunted like one would when stung by a bee. He didn't even try to swing, just cocked back his elbow good and hard-

-nailing Razkar in the jaw.

The Myrian staggered back, tendrils of darkness invading the edge of his vision but he swam against the current, forcing himself to feel the cold stone, the icy cellar, hear the calm, steady breath from Kevlar and his own panting inhalations.

Don't let him take the initiative.

"It's not just size." Kevlar said, turning to face him again, coming closer but hands not in fists. "Or speed. It's experience. Fight after fight after fight, every scar a lesson learned, every bruise and broken bone teaching you. Making you harder."

He lashed out with a brutal kick that would have sent Razkar's balls into orbit, but the Myrian indeed was learning, and pivoted again-

-right into the left hook Kevlar gave him, right in the kidneys, paying him back for that knee.

"And not holding back." The Akalak said as Razkar yelped in pain, side burning, bent over and hobbling away. "S'why you only really learn this stuff in real fights. Kind of fights where you don't walk away from if you lose."

He glided over, so light on his feet, and swept up a bottle with one hand, hurling it overarm at Razkar. He dodges it just in time, glass and stinking liqor splattering over him, blinding him-

Kevlar's headbutt could have been worse, he supposed later.

"Third lesson. Use every weapon at your disposal, and damn near everything can be a weapon."

Razkar staggered against the wall, blinded and helpless. The headbutt was expertly placed, considering that Kevlar could have easily smashed his nose through his brain. That time, it was just above his nose, hard enough to hurt like the hells and send an explosion of stars and pain crisscrossing across his vision. He barely felt the twin thunder blows to his sides, squashing his inside, making his knees buckle...

The Myrian sunk down, back to the wall, blood running into his open mouth. The Akalak towered impossibly tall over him, not even breathing heavily.

"Are we learn-"

Razkar didn't waste the brief opening he had, and slammed the sole of his right foot into the massive man's left shin.

Razkar has been cursed by Yahal, and as such finds little acceptance from others; they will instinctively view him as being deceptive and traitorous. However, when close to one blessed by Yahal, the effect is negated. The curse is etched onto his left pectoral, and viewing the mark causes others to feel dirty and unclean.

[The Blue Bull] Dirty Pool

Kevlar grunted, taken unawares, but that wouldn't last. He staggers, Razkar not getting so lucky to fell him, but giving him a brief, fleeting window-

-for him to aim a short jab under his other kneecap.

That felled him, two-knuckle punch sending a shock of agony up the big man's legs and making him totter backwards. Razkar puts both his hands under him, jerking his feet back so he's crouching, then braces his right leg against the wall, explodes as fast as his muscles can allow-

-sending him hurtling horizontally into Kevlar's legs.

Even at eight foot and pushing four hundred pounds, the impact knocked the big man backwards, ruining whatever tenuous hold he had on his balance. He went down backwards with a thud that shook every bottle down there, Razkar scrambling up his body.

Too slow.

In two short, vicious blows he bought his cupped hands crashing against the Myrian's ears, the pressure making the smaller man howl. Kevlar grabbed his shoulder, feet getting purchase on the stone under Razkar, bending, then-

-throwing Razkar behind and above him.

The Myrian was reminded for a split second of the human he saw flying out of the Blue Inn's front door, just before he crashed into a crate of what he assumed was potatoes. His back was immediately on fire, any impact capable of shattering the heavy wooden container certainly capable of doing similar damage to whatever was hitting it.

"Very good, kid." Now the words come through just a little more exhausted, which to Razkar felt like a massive compliment. "Improvise. Be inventive. No rules or conduct here. Just what you can do, and what you can't."

Groaning, groping, on hands and knees, Razkar felt a huge hand grab his wrist and jerk it behind his back. He was hauled to his feet like one would a child, feeling rather than hearing a voice from two feet above his own head.

"Had enough? Those things aren't-"

Razkar snarled and gargled blood at the same time, then reached behind him with his free hand, grabbed a handful of crotch, and squeezed.

Now that got more of the reaction he was expecting. At least initially. Kevlar did something between a grunt and a choke, shuddering behind Razkar. The grip on the Myrian's arm loosened just a fraction and Razkar tore his wrist free, turning to-

He shouldn't have let go of his balls. That was his mistake.

"Not bad." Kevlar grunted, actually smiling, then jerked his knee upwards into Razkar's chest. "But size does matter, boy."

The power of the blow lifted Razkar clear off his feet and knocked out every ounce of wind in his lungs. He doubled over in mid-air, Kevlar's arms already moving to grab under his shoulders and hurl him into the stone wall. A splat. A crunch. Something fairly minor breaks in Razkar's side and when he hits the floor this time, he stays put.

Blackness. Darkness. Sounds and shapes and colors mixing and merging, coming to nothing. Then... suffocation. Drowning. Liquid so deep and rich he splutters and-

"Wakey wakey..."

Kevlar finished pouring the water on his face, jerking him back to reality. He extended the bottle and once Razkar remembered his own name and what world he was on, he took the proffered bottle.

He remembered how his hands worked, too. Great.

"Thank you."

Kevlar let him get a few slugs down his throat before he spoke up.

"Didn't do too bad tonight, Myrian. Got potential."

"Not know what potential means."

Kevlar chuckled, taking a swig from his own bottle, containing the polar opposite of water. "Surprised you can remember anything. Took your lumps, just like you said you would."

Razkar had to chuckle back, letting his head flop backwards onto the cool stone. His body felt like one big bruise. His back, his sides, his legs, all sore and groaning almost as loud as he would tomorrow morning. But his mind... that was still sharp. And it had grown a little wiser.

"Good lesson."

"My pleasure. Been a while since someone your size got up more than twice."

Razkar turned to him, face a parody of humor. "Very petching funny."

"I'm here all week."

Razkar blinked, shook his head uncertainly. "You own tavern. Why would not be here all time?"

Kevlar sighed at his wasted comedic talents. "Never mind..."

Lore: Crowd Your Opponent So He Can’t See Your Next Move Clearly, Don’t Hold Back In A Life Or Death Fight, Everything Can Be A Weapon – Use Them All, Go For The Manbits, Improvise In Battle, Be Inventive In Battle, Size Matters!

Additional Note: I hope your pc’s manbits are okay. : ) As always, nice combat training thread. This is the second time I’ve seen Razkar go for other men’s junk! I loved Kevlar’s advice. All of it was great. I enjoyed reading this thread enormously because your PC gets sadistically beat up and loves it.
